PLEASE do; Rivals of Aether’s OST is absolutely incredible. It’s one of the best fighting game OSTs of all time. Genuinely one of the things I’m looking forward to about the sequel is the music.
If you're looking for a place to start aside from the songs GaMetal's covered, my personal favorite is Fire's Last Hope, Clairen's Theme. Absolute banger.

If you're interested in the lore behind the music, FlashyGoodness (RoA composer) was lowkey a mentor for Toby Fox. They both use similar sound sets (you can see what Flashy uses on their portfolio website), and FlashyGoodness has been writing music for lil games since long before flash expired (earliest credit is Tower of Heaven in 2010). They arranged Asgore's theme for the Undertale soundtrack release in 2017, and I genuinely SWEAR I read an interview from Flashy talking about their work relationship with Toby, but I can't find it 😭
But if you cross reference Toby's Undertale work with Flashy's Tower of Heaven stuff, you can here how the melodic writing and arpeggiation stuff influenced it. If you listen to "Enemy Approaching" the percussion writing is SUPER similar to Flashy's work. And it's why Rivals of Aether 1/2 both feel stylistically adjacent to UTDR. I'm such a nerd for this stuff LMAO.

Rivals of Aether’s soundtrack is amazing, and this cover really does it justice!
This game is probably #1 on my list of games I haven’t played and doubt I will but damn I LOVE their soundtrack, this one might be my favorite from Rivals… just so happens Shredder’s Revenge and Penny’s Big Breakaway are up there and Jonny’s worked on both AND I love pretty much every GaMetal remix you post… yeah this was guaranteed to be a banger.

With all that said, this song was badass! The fast-pace of the song kept me hooked, and that solo in the middle was also super good as well! Now I'm really motivated to listen to all the RoA songs lol. You nailed this one, Jonny, and I can't wait for whatever Castlevania song is next!
