This track was used in Sonic Adventure 1 as well, where it can be heard in the cart section of Twinkle Park, which is only part of his version of the level!

i think i remember hearing it there. a testament to the popularity of the genesis version's OST. but also, a shame the saturn OST doesn't get as much love. there aren't many games that have more than one soundtrack.
Some songs from 3D Blast were reused in Sonic Adventure because the former did not have a Japanese release at the time.

Since we're on the subject of Twinkle Park, Knuckles originally had his own theme for the Special Stage, but it went unused, and eventually became Twinkle Park!
3D Blast on Genesis has one of the best classic Sonic OSTs and I will die on this hill

This track both being used for the intro and the first act of the final zone feel so gratifying when you actually get to Panic Puppet
I know right?? This is a type of satisfying sentiment of achievement that not many games are capable of: the feeling that you are close to the end and just need a little push to keep going, that things are getting serious and you need to focus. By listening to the intro music every time you boot up the game and finally reaching the final level, you hear that familiar song again. Some people call it "laziness" or "lack of budget" for reusing songs, I call it "masterpiece"
When the puppets are panicking
Ok, in all seriousness, this was a great cover! The visuals were great (Bonus points for actually having puppets panicking), and the music was as well, with a killer solo! Oh yeah, loved the Sonic Adventure part, too, that was a great deep cut. For a game whose soundtrack I'm admittedly not super familiar with, this made me fall in love! You nailed this one, Jonny, and I can't wait for Full Steam Vengeance!

Admittedly I was hoping for Volcano Valley Zone but Panic Puppet is a favorite as well, I love it!
This was one of three tracks from Sonic 3D Blast that was my favorite, the other two being Green Grove act 2, and Green Grove Act 1 (which also like Panic Puppet Zone got included in Sonic Adventure 1). Great Remix man!!! 🤘🤘🤘

That's because it's the same track, there's a couple of tracks that are from 3D blast that made it into Adventure 🙂

I'm seeing a lot of surprise at this song being in Adventure, or some reasoning that isn't the real one.
3D Blast was Jun's first Sonic game where he did the entire soundtrack for, and naturally he was proud of his work, so much so he mixed a bunch of the songs into the SA soundtrack. The opening of Boss 2 is used as the opening of Emerald Coast part 2, Panic Puppet is Twinkle Circuit, and I'm sure there are others I'm missing atm.
