Jess Collins I personally have the heavy duty singer machine, and it’s great for beginners! Here is the link to the one I have go.magik.ly/ml/12dja/ I will be upgrading in the future but it does the trick and can work on a variety of fabrics. It’s also inexpensive for a sewing machine
So cute!! But 14 inches as a strap length I find odd, so I made them a bit longer and it was too long for the bag size 😂😂. Anybody had the same struggle?

same! i got one for christmas too, and ive been making so many bags and purses... i think im addicted.
@@bellaboo4969 any household machine is good. some good brands are singer and brother. i use a juki household machine. its pretty good :)

Don't forget to press your seams! It helps make items lay flat and your seams look much more crisp. I really enjoyed watching the video though.
i thought the same thing but she showed a frame where the seams do actually look pressed :) lol

I just finished making my tester one and it turned out fantastic!! I used regular cotton but the patter fit perfectly and I can’t wait to make more!!!

I used some thrifted fabric for the lining, its just a silky satin fabric but you can really used any type of fabric.
