The photo from “1997” was actually around 2012 lol
2011 had a Reebok logo on the seats too lmaooo
I’m glad I’m not the only one to spot the errors. The “1997” photo is from between 2010 and 2012 (notice the Standard Chartered logos and the colours) and the “2011” photo has a Reebok logo with a double tier Anfield Road end, so its from between 1998 and 2006
I was gonna say that was some weird time warp lol. The stand was built before they started building it!
1996 was Annie road single tier then 97 was double tier. 98 shows it flattened in-between adding the top tier
@@drewgriffithsfm was also an error in 1998, the 1996 add the old Anfield Road stand, 1997 had the one there now, and 1998 had the old stand knocked down 😂
1974 on the Kop. 8 Years old. Greatest colours I'd ever seen. Thank you for taking me Paul. I know you're always there with me. RIP brother.
The stadium in the 60s for me had the best atmosphere 25000 on the kop singing and swaying what a site Brilliant

I'll second that Mr.Bellamy. I was in amongst that crowd on The Kop in January and June 1973 after meeting Mr.Shankly in person in his office. Indelible memories for me and even with all that money spent on the ground now it still isn't a patch on the old one as far as atmosphere is concerned. At least the players were all British then.
A slight error with the photo labelled 1997. The seats suggest there was a sponsorship deal with Standard Chartered Bank. That did not happen till 2010

Personally I preferred the 1987 Anfield. Rush's last goal before he head off to Italy v Everton in April 1987, The Kop just erupted like a volcano and blew like a tsunami on that sunny day.
Loved the horizontal crane style elevated floodlights.
The Taylor Report fucking ruined football in England, when the French had safe terracing, automatic safe release gates as far back as 1988.
Bring back safe terracing with flags, drums, air horns, razzmatazz etc, like in Germany. It can be done, instead of watching the bored prawn and cocktail seated supporters.
Agreed. The so called majestic Kop looks pitiful compared to Dortmund's yellow wall. Even Klopp said you can't compare the two.

First visited Anfield in 1971. Lost count how many times been there (usually on the kop but not always). - Memories.
Never been the prettiest grounds from the outside. But few can match the Atmosphere on the inside...hopefully they'll get the permissions to finish the Sir Kenny stand and Kop..as long as the locals are well looked after obviously..let's hope because, the season ticket waiting list is beyond a joke
The kop is a single tier stand and it’s famous for being so. You would have to remap breck road for a start. You would have to buy a number of streets and pay the residents a handsome amount to rehome themselves. And the imaginary number that would increase by is not enough to make it worth while. The main stand was enough of a headache for the club, the residents and the council. And that didn’t need to put a brand new road on a main thoroughfare which would cause chaos for a significant length of time. So that will never happen. The sir kenny stand will also need housing to be purchased and residents to be rehoused. After the negative publicity about the main stand it’s highly unlikely that the club would ever get the permission to do anything there so we have pretty much maximised the potential for the stadium. Although the new ones look fantastic and are all state of the art, none of them have the missing ingredient that anfield has which is renowned all over the world. The history and the success is talked about in folklore and the intensity of the crowd has been said to be a major contributor to our success. So I’m extremely glad to be staying there with a better capacity and with all the history and magic of the past. Hopefully the future too

Get over it , the facts show LFC to be the most succesful club in England and the facts say Anfield holds 61,000 whilst Bramley Dock will never exceed 53,000

You have an interesting definition of "forcibly". They agreed to sell their homes after being offered way above market value.

Infiel with out the History is just an ugly stadium, even A small club such a s Totteham has a better Stadium.
Maybe they have a more glamorous stadium and is state of the art, but it doesn’t have history or anything about it which is mythical and intriguing to fans of other clubs, particularly the European clubs who have heard all about anfield and our success for years and years. Fans of other clubs across Europe don’t go to the new Tottenham hotspur stadium and take photos of the opposite end, but they do when they come to anfield. Every set of fans from European clubs stand and listen to the kop singing YNWA and they all take pictures and videos of it too so they have memories of being at the most famous stand in world football. Every stand might be unique in design, it may be a bit unattractive to you or others, but it’s got a special something that spurs don’t have, no other club In England has what anfield has. Look online and see what pep said. Wenger, fergie, mourinho… they all say the same thing…. Anfield is a place where the impossible happens. Barcelona, dortmund, juve, Madrid, Chelsea, all of them were better teams than us, but we were the ones that won…. Anfield has a large part to play in that
