I seriously don't know what is wrong with some of the people on here that just feel they gotta hate on everything all the time. I think you (wrecklesskelly) are an artist and an amazing fabricator. I feel like I totally understand and get what you were going for here. Your own, personal take on a combination between older W900's, 379's, in the confines and convenience of a pickup-sized hauler. I LOVED seeing all the work, care, engineering and fabrication you put into this truck. Wish I could see it in person to admire and appreciate all the details up close. Great job! God bless!
that is a nice truck. with its boxed frame, lead filled dents, air suspension, Cummins diesel, etc, it is a sturdy build. plus it actually looks right, has nice lines and proportions.... only thing missing is a fifth-wheel, or goose-neck, hitch.. hooked up to a goose-neck trailer would make a nice picture... thumbs up for the craftsmanship...
Awesome video, awesome build. Can't believe people could be so disrespectful. I don't think they realize all the time and effort you put into just the video, let alone the truck! 👍🏼👍🏼
So the skill, dedication and work needed to do this is greater than anything that I could do but it still looks really really stupid. If you're happy with it and it does everything you want it to though then you should be proud doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks.
Leave the guy alone, it's a sick custom rig, I'd like to see what the haters can do in comparison to this? Instead of shooting off all day towards someone's project, do something with your life for God sakes, sick rig man, love it
A face only a mother....... you know the rest Nice and impressive build. Love that you got creative and did your own thing. Hope you get lots of use from it.
Very unique and creative. don't let the haters bother you, they are sure to come. I think a dually axle would look even cooler. My sons and I are going to do some work together.
Who gives a fuck about people talking shit..half of em probably couldn't do a fraction of the work you did building it anyways lol. It may not be the sleakest looking but it's unique; and one man's trash is another's treasure. Plus trucks aren't intended to be easy on the eyes; they're meant to be put to work and beat up. I'd take an ugly beast of a truck any day over a "pristine/pretty" truck I'd worry about getting a scratch/ding. As long as you're happy with it that's all that matters man. I bet it was a blast hangin with your friends/fam, dedicating the time and labor putting together. Like I said, as long as it does what you intended, and turned out how you wanted that's all that matters. Whether it's a truck/car, or any other object, there's always gonna be people who hate and talk shit.
man that is one bad ass sick truck! I love dodge and I am a truck driver and what u just did there is totally amazing I'm just shocked as hell at how good you did with that congratulations on that beautiful piece of art keep up the awesome work
LoL! This is epic! I've always wanted to take something like an 08 dodge dually and make it into a mini semi truck. I think it would look a lot cool pulling trailers. Especially horse trailers!
wow cool build. Only thing I would change is raise the front to make a taller and narrower looking grill so the ratio of size is closer to big rig. You could also cut rectangular vents in the bumper with tha same grille running down the center to make it look taller and almost go to the ground. Then just widen the front fenders 2-3 inches per side while leaving the boxers you already have that go between the bumper and fenders also giving a much woder body while visually narrowing the grille area!! With you fab skillz it shouldnt be much time !
Not for nothing, there was some great fab work that went into this ride. My opinion would be that, it doesn't need 2 sets of lights. If you were to get one set of smaller lights (for aesthetics, bu they function) and an LED bar molded into the front blacked out bumper. And that grille needs to be either blacked out, or brushed aluminum. That silver sticks out too much. But as I said, it's just my opinion on it. Awesome Work Boys.
You must have just been in love with this truck...all the fab work that went into the build it looks like you would have wanted a truck with less or no rust at all...There has to be some kind of attachment to this truck and still all that work...as they say to each there own...Ive got a 2nd gen Dodge Laramie...and even surface rust would have been a deal breaker for me...Maby Im to pickey...Ive just always been raised nice trucks ECT...or no trucks at all.
mark wood except for the running boards its all bolt on. Can be swapped to a different cab if we choose. And yes it has put almost on 750000km so it is special to the owner.
Gonna have a problem going over speed bumps there with the front bumper. But you did some very hard and nice work on this build I couldn't do half that even if I had the time I mostly specialize in Mechanics on working on them but not building seems ironic yes but I only work on Chevrolet too. But overall not the prettiest build but some very hard work put into her and I respect you for that SAFE DRIVING MAN!
great job! couple of. suggestions, needs aluminum side fuel tanks, a paint job, and get rid of the front hella lights. takes away from the truck frontend. also. please put a RAM hood ornament on the hood like they had in the 80's.
aluminum tanks and proper deep shiny black paint coming this summer. he likes the lights as it gets driven at night quite often. It is a work truck before all else after all!
Dude I dig the stacks. Maybe would have extended the frame alittle bit & put a fifth wheel plate on the back but for sure would have run duals in the rear. But all in all very sweet looking dodgie. Keep on trucking
While I am not totally sure how I feel about the conversion, I do appreciate the time and labor that was put into this thing to create something different and that the owner could call his own. Question for you, why not a dual rear wheel setup? Also is the truck 4x4? Props to you guys for getting it done and back on the road instead of just having a bunch of parts scattered to the wind and a gutted carcass of a cab sitting in your yard for years! I'm sure that if you do build another it will be even better then this guy came out, looking forward to future videos!
The owner prefers singles, we may mount some 22.5 singles out back and 19.5 dually wheels in the front to get "the look" and if you payed attention to the front suspension you would notice it is 2wd ;)
Should have found a real Peterbuilt grill and trim and modified it too fit. That would have looked sick. I personally would have gone with a dully for looks and functionality but that's my opinon. Truck looks sick though.
love the truck. nice job on the fabrication work. I've been tempted to put those mirrors on my 96 3500 for a long time. I might just do it now. interesting idea on moving the rear back. would be been perfect if you had thrown an idler axle in there. keep on truck'n!
definitely like it..but in my humble opinion I would have liked to see 22.5's and super singles but then again I'm sure it's purpose built...but either way great job love to see that people still build stuff on there own
+wreckleskelly I'm not hating the craftsmanship, it's really good. Just not a fan of the looks is all, but only the front. I like what was done to the back.
you definitely have some impressive metal working skills buy y do all that awesome work and leave the 2500 single wheel axles under it... should have used atleast 3500 axles or use the 4500/5500 and stuff some 19.5's that would of gave you more of the big rig look
I would like to know what air bags you used front and rear and how does the two leaves on rear springs workout when you give it fuel does it twist up I've got a 94 I would like to do suspension like that thank you joe
Lot's of custom fab work right there damn... Love the horn's and stacks and bumper's. The only thing I would of done different is put a dually rear axle... other then that it's one sweet looking and sounding tructor.... Yeah buddy~! Came over from Clyde's channel!
+Brandon C (Plateface3D) and that's good for all them lol... Again, he made it for HIM, not anyone else and obviously not EVERYONE is gonna like the same thing, and not everyone is gonna hate it... So it don't matter if you or the others hates it, it's your opinion and theirs too
I know you made this truck a while ago, and the video was posted in late August.... But, would you by chance still have the brand & model # of the air bags you used in the rear of the truck?? I'm looking for some similar size bags for mine, but am looking to get the maximum amount of suspension travel out of them, while still giving me the added load carrying/towing capacity of the heavy-duty bags! So I'm trying to contact as many people as possible that have made the similar mod, in an effort to gain as much knowledge as possible before I tear into mine!!
I forgot to add that you can either contact me here, or my email is my screen name @yahoo.com Thanks and keep up the sweet fab work!! (From a guy that has driven almost every kind of vehicle on wheels, from a tractor, to motorcycles, to cars/trucks/SUVs, to straight-trucks & every kind of tractor-trailer, to construction equipment & snowcats. Even 4, 6, 8, 10, & 12-wheel military trucks!!). I dig the design as I loved my Pete & love my numerous Dodge trucks!! I think I would have made the front-end body mods more toward the look of the classic M35-A2 "Deuce & a Half", But I respect the way you went! Quick question. +turbosniper1 just go to your local big rig shop and browse the bags they have on the shelf or look in the book (all dimensions are listed) as far as the fender I cut about 1/2" below the top of the fender and hammered it flat and welded the new sheet to it along the seam. Added some braces in behind to keep it from flopping around and the grille ties the front together
+wreckleskelly : Excellent! Thanks brother!! I was finally able to get to one of the local companies that supplies the big rig shops.... They just gave me their old '14 manuals for Firestone & Goodyear air springs so I can search through them, and do some comparisons in both dimensions & capacity, in addition to mounting hardware options! Out of curiosity.... Did you make any limiting straps for yours?? Or did you use the shock-travel as the limiting factor?? Thanks again for the assist on the info.. Please post up some video of this beast in action towing!! I'd like to see that!! - Matt
Lots of craftsmanship an ideas in there. Respect, You got some skills and did build something unique. Might not be to everybodies taste, but that's perfectly fine. It's cusom and it is Yours... (unless it's Re-Gistered within the "corporation" (USA) then you might only have the privilege of using it as long as you play along and pay the fee. But that's another topic, I guess).

Thank you very much for the kind words!
ace1usmc I’m sorry but it’s just plain ugly and stupid. And 99% of people agree
that is a nice truck. with its boxed frame, lead filled dents, air suspension, Cummins diesel, etc, it is a sturdy build. plus it actually looks right, has nice lines and proportions.... only thing missing is a fifth-wheel, or goose-neck, hitch.. hooked up to a goose-neck trailer would make a nice picture... thumbs up for the craftsmanship...

very cool but it should have been a dually
Definitely needs to be a dually
Needs 6 wheels for sure
Vary nice . Tons of good work . 20 mins does not pay it justice . I look forward to seeing what you guys build next.
The craftsmanship put into this thing is at least as good as the music is bad.
I especially like the E-track built into the bed.
That looks like a ton of labor. It turned out pretty nice.
A 1 off that you love. Who could ask for more. You are blessed with talent to make your vision come true.
A face only a mother....... you know the rest
Nice and impressive build. Love that you got creative and did your own thing. Hope you get lots of use from it.
I BUILD HOT SHOT BED THIS BEEN BIG HELP IN MY NEXT BED AND BUMPER BUILD TY RICK
Very unique and creative. don't let the haters bother you, they are sure to come. I think a dually axle would look even cooler. My sons and I are going to do some work together.
all it needs is a dually rear end and some bud wheels for the front. good job guys
Who gives a fuck about people talking shit..half of em probably couldn't do a fraction of the work you did building it anyways lol. It may not be the sleakest looking but it's unique; and one man's trash is another's treasure. Plus trucks aren't intended to be easy on the eyes; they're meant to be put to work and beat up. exactly it's like they don't appreciate the value of hard work but it's the internet and there is nothing we can do about it
Yeah, but if you make a pick up look like a semi... It doesn't look that great
It's class 8 styling, suspension, and parts, put into a class 2b/3. About as original as a hard-on for a fat ass.
A bunch of shitty work by half ass dudes!
man that is one bad ass sick truck! I love dodge and I am a truck driver and what u just did there is totally amazing I'm just shocked as hell at how good you did with that congratulations on that beautiful piece of art keep up the awesome work
thanks man! we are really pleased with the outcome.
+wreckleskelly I would be too! it's sexy as hell lol now I wanna turn my 2010 ram into one lol
I love it. looks like some crazy shit i would come up with. really like the front end with the fenders flared and the chrome grill etc. Good job guys
This thing is fricken sweet. I've never seen someone do anything like this.
thanks
LoL! This is epic! I've always wanted to take something like an 08 dodge dually and make it into a mini semi truck. I think it would look a lot cool pulling trailers. Especially horse trailers!
Completely stellar and absolutely f****** awesome

extremely creative and it's amazing looking!!!!! good job buddy!!! next what you should do is throw in a 6v53tt in there.
That's pretty cool. Back yard engineering.
that truck looks like the ones that the hooked to the trailers in one of the f&f series
Not exactly a style I would pick, but some awesome fabrication work!
No way ! I seen this outside of Boston pizza in Dawson creek ! Wicked truck buddy !
it's cool to see people do things differently though. not "hating" on it.

I don't think you have enough tail lights.
Can fit two more maybe right?

I personally like the look of it. Thanks for sharing.
Love the truck Man, You don't see that every day
What a great style! But I think you should go with duallys in the back to fit the heavy weight look.
Ok guys, thats cool as fuck!!
The fab work is insane!
Like a mini big rig
Nice truck cool
great job! couple of. suggestions, needs aluminum side fuel tanks, a paint job, and get rid of the front hella lights. takes away from the truck frontend. also. please put a RAM hood ornament on the hood like they had in the 80's.
aluminum tanks and proper deep shiny black paint coming this summer. he likes the lights as it gets driven at night quite often. It is a work truck before all else after all!
Good job! Glad to see that peoples minds still work. Good to not be a part of the sheeple
I dunno I kinda dig it. sweet way to tug your camper around. not to my taste but I can appreciate it
Dude I dig the stacks. Maybe would have extended the frame alittle bit & put a fifth wheel plate on the back but for sure would have run duals in the rear. But all in all very sweet looking dodgie. Keep on trucking

a ram hood ornament would look deadly on the hood
EGORK RAPESTUN ... you nailed it.. .... it needs the ram off an '80s dodge truck hood.. at least for a photo op...
Please tell me that thing is not an automatic
That's a awsum mini rig. How come it's not a duelly tho?
Should have found a real Peterbuilt grill and trim and modified it too fit. That would have looked sick. I personally would have gone with a dully for looks and functionality but that's my opinon. Truck looks sick though.
love the truck. nice job on the fabrication work. I've been tempted to put those mirrors on my 96 3500 for a long time. I might just do it now.
interesting idea on moving the rear back. would be been perfect if you had thrown an idler axle in there.
keep on truck'n!
Remember that game with the square and round pegs and other shapes you had to match with the appropriate hole? No?
awesome! now thats like a semi semi truck
pretty sweet build
Strange but cool. A lot of hard work.
very awesome work. I had plans very similar to yours past year, but ran out of funds.
8 years we had this vision for it. it'll come when the time is right
Indeed! That you for the inspirational motivation.
Should have used some Busch light cans for air filters
CONGRATS ON BUILDING A DOWN SYNDROME VERSION OF A KODIAK
well said nice quality metal work and fabrication but jesus only a face a mother could love. She is ugly
Damn Les, that looks nice.
definitely like it..but in my humble opinion I would have liked to see 22.5's and super singles but then again I'm sure it's purpose built...but either way great job love to see that people still build stuff on there own
see previous comments lol. thanks
For those who built it, not give a fuck what others say.
That is America's engineering and cool in america if cool is good..
Give me a few beers and it'll look fine to me..
I bet half of y'all talking trash about this dodge y'all own a dodge of your own
It's very creative, but I think you've successfully made a dodge even more ugly than it already was.
not possible! but each to their own right :-)
+wreckleskelly I'm not hating the craftsmanship, it's really good. Just not a fan of the looks is all, but only the front. I like what was done to the back.
+ThatDrummerBen I share your opinion. It is amazing work, especially since it was done in a home garage.
+Clint “iLegits” Ethridge lol ford? Never. I prefer Chevrolet.
+ThatDrummerBen If you ask me a bit of creativity and uniqueness almost always makes a stock vehicle look better.
Toute une job...c'est plaisant a regardé.
looks like a mix of peterbilt and kenworth the only thing id do is have it as a dually and alcoas other than that sweet truck
yo sweet I just noticed the Alberta license plate... I live in Alberta and probably close to this guy
You slammed your civic? That's cute
Only thing I would change are the cab lights. The harbor freight ones would look much better.
love it man!!. a lot of hard work involved. congrats!
maybe headlights with a built-in visor and tint a little tail lights?
love the front end great truck
you definitely have some impressive metal working skills buy y do all that awesome work and leave the 2500 single wheel axles under it... should have used atleast 3500 axles or use the 4500/5500 and stuff some 19.5's that would of gave you more of the big rig look

That would be cool if you put a dt360 or another medium duty truck engine in it. Or like a heavier duty cummins from a fedex truck or school bus.
Lot's of custom fab work right there damn... Love the horn's and stacks and bumper's. The only thing I would of done different is put a dually rear axle... other then that it's one sweet looking and sounding tructor.... Yeah buddy~! Came over from Clyde's channel!
That is an awesome truck, it would look better if it was a dually thoe, but either way it is a 12valve which u can't beat them
well. it is custom...
If everyone liked the same thing they'd all be married to your grandma
That’s just bad assery! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Should've left the stock fenders up front but overall I think it looks badass
you owe me 16:14 min of my life i want them back
No one forced you to watch it lol
congratz you made one ugly truck lol
He didn't make it for you lol
Shacaca Dunzo glad he didnt cause it looks like a pos
+Brandon C (Plateface3D) your opinion.. he built it to his likings not yours 😊... I honestly likes it but not everyone has the same taste
i dont like it and seems 195 others dont like it as well, plus the 12 that liked my post.
+Brandon C (Plateface3D) and that's good for all them lol... Again, he made it for HIM, not anyone else and obviously not EVERYONE is gonna like the same thing, and not everyone is gonna hate it... So it don't matter if you or the others hates it, it's your opinion and theirs too
looks neat. just not too crazy about the front end
pretty cool i would have stripped that dodge cab off and landed a 70s w900 kenworth right in its place
thats an awesome build
the back is sick but the front is ugly
great job guys. I loved
Looks good but would have looked better if you put tandem duallys on it
What is the grill off of sir. Looks like a cut down version of a slab nosed Peterbilt (389)
If you watch close you can see it is fabricated from scratch to resemble a big rig style grill
did you guys custom make that visor ?
I like the idea. Just would added a sleeper, dully in the rear and tossed the ugly grill. Otherwise it's unique
I’m looking to make my truck as ugly as possible, do y’all know a guy for the job?...
I forgot to add that you can either contact me here, or my email is my screen name @yahoo.com
Thanks and keep up the sweet fab work!!
When you cut the outer skins off the front fenders, how did you do the cut? Did you cut them near the pinch welds that attach the inner & outer skins? Or did you separate the pinch weld itself?
I look forward to your response!
(Also please hit me up on Facebook.. Matt Klouzek.... I have a picture of my green Dodge 6x6🇺🇸😎👍🏼)
- Matt
- Matt
Shock and suspension travel does the limiting yes
Good luck with your build
Lots of craftsmanship an ideas in there. Respect, You got some skills and did build something unique. Might not be to everybodies taste, but that's perfectly fine. It's cusom and it is Yours... Some tool boxes would be nice between the cab and drive's
that is ugly as hell.
its cool but it should be a dually
The owner Dan Brubaker would not be the one who lived in St. Pete Florida in the mid 70's would it be? Owned a Austin Healey
Advanced Nutrition Inc He's never lived in Florida so not the same guy!
Thank you ... just wondering!!
Why no dual wheels on rear?
That was really cool I liked it.
is this real fucking life? dear got.
Wow wow its beautiful
no hood ornament?
