  • Did a 911 operator hang up on the assistant manager of Buffalo’s Tops Supermarket during last weekend’s deadly mass shooting? Latisha Rogers says she hid behind a customer service desk and called 911 as the gunman stalked the aisles. She says the operator told her not to whisper, before hanging up on her. Erie County Central Police Services confirmed that “the individual who took that call is now on administrative leave pending a disciplinary hearing.”

      *What is the Gospel?*
The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      Romans 10:9
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
      JESUS CHRIST can come anytime!

The interviewer asked what characteristics did I believe a dispatcher would need: care/concern for others and attention to details were my top two answers. I didn’t get a call back and I’m so happy. It's such a horrible feeling. I had a terrible experience with a 911 operator. I was 17 and my neighbors kept on coming onto our property, harassing me about a situation that had nothing to do with me or my family and my parents weren't home. My mother told me to call the police, I did and the 911 operator asked me of my neighbors were white, I said yes and she didn't send the police. This was in Alexandria, VA (Fairfax County).

The only reason he stopped was because the police made him, so every second counted. I can't help but think a little less people may have died if so much time wasn't wasted and if the dispatcher at least sent a unit out just to be sure.
