Regarding the main branch that won't set in properly, you should be able to fix that with a hairdryer on each end for 35 seconds or just submerge the end of the branch in boiling water for 20 seconds, quickly dry it with a tissue and insert it into the base and it'll go in smoothly. The paint won't be affected
That branch was a pain in the ass to get in and the seam is noticeable. I also had to touch up the long “hair” portrait but you can’t notice it now. Thankfully.
I’m a fan of the Bernie Wrightson Swamp Thing. I prefer the more Human style from the late 70’s I did enjoy the Allen Moore run, but Bernie is still king when it comes to Swamp Thing👍
The fact that they can make such a low edition size shows the size of the markup from the production cost. Their Transformers line is similar with low edition sizes (minus Optimus Prime).
Oh yea absolutely a great looking piece. If I was into DC I would definitely get one. Sorry to hear about the damage parts. It's upsetting that after all the money invested into buying these statues, the company that makes them don't put much into a better way of protection for their products. Anyway awesome Swamp thing congrats on getting it.
Man that looks amazing!! I feel your disappointment man…. You kept talking about it coming and when you finally get it in …. But it ooks fragile. Todd will take care of you… I had one piece that came in broken all three attempts!! But love the details on this.
I love that statue so much. I only collect Batman Universe so I can't justify buying him even though Batman and Swamp Thing have so good issues together. The breaks are saddening.
I love the statue. XM does such great work. Is the statute ordered straight through XM or through a authorized dealer? I am wanting to buy my first XM piece. I see GFX distribution is authorized and I can get it cheaper than through XM. I want to know if you have done any business with them so I know if I can trust them with my money.

Great statue and great review 👏 I had this on order before moving my collection up to 1/3. Then I got the P1 Swamp Thing instead. BUT the XM is is very nice, I like the hunched over torso best. Ill also PM you with the books the Dr Fate helmet is referencing

In my opinion this is the best Swamp Thing. I love that pose and the water on the base. I hope you get those issues taken care of.
I think I prefer the first torso you showed.. and mainly cuz I like that ST face better than the other version. 😁
6:55 Those things (of wood or whatever) in the Injustice 2 game (as customization).. are rather used as a more armored Swamp Thing.

I've never ordered from GFX. I order XM pieces through specfictionshop.
