Love that xm sticks more to comic takes on characters. Really shows in this piece. So much to love about it but I'm all in for that Groot. Just awesome
Groot looks awesome!!! Rocket looks underscaled a little bit. Love the 2 ways he can be displayed that was a sweet extra touch!
Very cool Groot/Rocket statue. Awesome how you pointed out that XM didn't have their assembly video up yet (seems to happen often) and the discrepancy of the edition size, it was quite funny.

Cool statue Mr. X! I love how XM gives you 2 options on where you want to display Rocket. My choice would be on top of Groot’s shoulder. But I would love to see a video where you show off your Guardians of the Galaxy collection. The same way you did your Phoenix Five please. 😊
Pretty cool piece, I'd like to imagine with the left foot not being flush that Groot's roots are stretching out about to break into the ground. Or something along those lines. Great video Mr.X, can't wait for more :)

Absolutely phenomenal Statue imo. I have been contemplating getting this one for awhile. This review has definitely inched me closer to it, looks so dang great. I love the 1st Guardians film, one of my favorite in the entire MCU. Man, tempting indeed.
Nice piece this, the texturing looks really good and Groot really does look like he's made out of real wood and the paints apps are good also.

Wow this sculpture is very dynamic. I love the characters Groot and Rocket and the way they work so well together, whether to get a job done or defending themselves. I really enjoy this action packed poses on both of the characters. Very pleasing to view. Love it, well done.
Just got this piece in and unboxed it. It definitely is a killer head turning statue, probably one I'll be keeping as its so different to other pieces out there. Massive piece. Ordered it October 2018.

Its Grooot!! Its amazing. Even adding small Led lights to make statues pop & are cheap so that's cool to see people do. I'll stick to collection action figures & maybe buy a statue but enjoy watching you & Gem do your thing.

Really cool statue the Groot head portrait looks almost like Pumpkin Head, i like Rocket's guns the design looks cool especially the pose and switching Rocket however you want to display hom is nice too and the base. The inside of the rocket base looks like if there's bricks inside of it. Though the statue looks cool.

I fucking love these characters, so what a pleasant surprise to se this statue, was not expecting that! And yes, XM IS better than Sideshows, in my mind there is no question about that, and those who disagree can go get some taste! Love the pose, love the paint, the base and rocket (the one one the ground) look awesome, although both could have done with just a little more dirt and grit. Rocket looks cool as hell, and yes his neckfur could have been darkened more, I agree, but it’s small potatoes, he kicks ass. Love both head portraits too btw. 5 out of 5 from Long Dong Silver too💪🏻

Great Review! I put mine together and was BLOWN AWAY. Surprised me that this thing got released as it didn't seem to be in the XM newsletter release list. This one is going to be in demand as i think a lot of people slept on it.

I wanted to suggest, getting thin clear plastic. and making boxes or plywood cases with pics and scenes, for most of these statues. It can save you time in dusting and small scratches. I've seen 20-120 collectables. But yours are worth a few hundred more.
I also watch gunda/gunpa model.and they do all kinds of detail work and painting.

Love Groot! Not crazy about their version of Rocket. That front leg isn’t sitting completely on the base. I have seen other in hand pics on FB. Awesome sculpt on Groot! Congrats!
The leg fits much better in this piece than it does on the XM assembly video, which is kind of funny that they used a piece that had that gap.

This is a cool looking statue, especially the jet engine and Rocket but It's too big for my taste, plus I already have the Kotobukiya Rocket/Groot piece, which is enough for me. I have to say that It's a travesty that the original Guardians of The Galaxy have been resigned to the annals of history, only Bowen Designs has made a set of busts of the original team. What they did to Yondu in the movies was unforgivable! Impressive piece, cheers, 8-) P.S. What's happened to SF5? I kinda miss the bollock brained clown 8-)

Rocket fur paint is a bit off IMO he needs more contrasting colors to make it pop
The movies are fun for sure. But rockets first appearance like Wolverine was in the hulk. No one knew who groot was or rocket raccoon. Now don’t get me wrong I think it’s great that people are getting into these less known characters because of the movie and in comics in general. As far as the statue is concerned it’s great but not something I would invest in.
