Knowing self-my true self is the journey of spirituality from what I have understood from the discourse. But thanks to Bidhan ji for his brilliant explanations, I am greatly benefitting from the same. I started listening to Swami Sarvapriya Nanda ji especially after my Mom's sudden death after recovering and minutes after engaging with very beautiful discussion with me at her bedside. But now I have become a fan of Bidhan ji as well and the way it is presented. Thank you so much.
Very well explained. My thought (okay pardon to say “my”) - this is all a framework or concept created by some like minded intellectuals. Adi Shankara is the most intelligent person ever born on earth. Don’t know what to say. But I have been on this path for few years. Intellectually nothing can beat this. Probably words cannot make enough justice for this original wisdom.
Very well explained regarding sukshm Jeeva. But sir, I have one question. In present state, Atman is our true nature, After death, physical body not in function, but Suksma & Karan Jeeva remains, in this condition, still our true nature is Atman? Second question- If able to desolve our suksh & Karan Jeeva, are able to get moksha? Sorry, if my question is disrespectful.
1. "Subconscious mind" - Does this phrase carry any meaning? How can anything escape Consciousness? If there is truly such a thing as subconscious mind, how does one even come to know about it? 2. Giving a provisional concession to the "existence" of "mind, that too a "subconscious" one, mind is never the generator of thought as in claimed in the above video. Consciousness is the "source" and "substance/stuff" of thoughts, emotions, sensory percepts in a "state" of "APPARENT DUALITY. " 3. Bidhan: I hope that you will provide some clarifications here.
In this video Vidan said @ 19:03 we are not making our thoughts. and I is also a thought. then there is no point in calling it I am owner, because a thought is becoming thinker and a thought is becoming experience. then there is no me or mine to claim anything. because no thoughts then there is nothing, either I or the thing. Just deep sleep or coma or anesthesia. may there be pure consciousness only or consciousness doing life activities in body like heart beat etc. point is there seems nothing, any concept, any word, any idea, any reality or any thing that is called mine or me? then what is the point of Sukshma shareera? it is also a thought, a form, a concept, a entity that is not created by me and it is not mine? because there is nothing either in the body or universe or anywhere I created and I am just a thought? then what should I worry about? what should I consider about? this is equivalent to saying there is no continuation of me or mine. But rather than saying directly like scientist, because there is no evidence for us to take rebirths, there is no rebirth? we are dwelling into every layer and then saying there is nothing to be continued after death. even while living also me mine is just a thought that is misunderstood as real me? @ 24:19 said, **your** Sukshma shareera? here I, you, mine, your, is just a thought that is also created by subconsious mind right? per 19:03 answer? not sure if even that Sukshma shareera is mine? its just there? if it is really there? this I thought dies with the body? and who cares what happens next to any shareera? 25:07 BG Lord Krishna dehi concept BG 2C:v13. That also may exist but its not me or mine, because 19:03 I is just a thought.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Yes, mine is yours is applicable only due to I thought. In absence of I thought there is no separation. There is no (mine) physical body and sukshma sharia. However until I thought persists, everything seems as self, as a separate entity.

Does Nidhidhyasanam leads to mere intellectual habituation of the negation of this (waking world)or that (any other dream world) Space, Time, Object, Subject & Causation? And Or Does it leads to the assertion or realisation of my true nature through some form of Vritti (Brahmakar or Akhandakar)? If yes, I am unable to logically make sense as to how can any type of vritti be THAT NIRGUNA BRAHMAN?
Thank you for your comments. The vritti cannot be the Nirguna Brahman but of Nirguna Brahman. The sense of separation is due to presence of Subject Vritti (self) called Ahankara and the object Vritti ( non self) leading to duality. The idea of non dual Brahman is also a vritti in the mind that negates the vritti of duality.
I respectfully disagree with your statement at 5.50: "You would be able to watch your feelings, watch your emotions, watch your thoughts from certain level of detachment........ which thoughts and emotions you want to engage with and which ones to let go off". When there is no question of "thinker, chooser" etc., where is the question of "one" making a choice? Thoughts, feelings/emotions are purely IMPERSONAL ACTIVITIES and their fate is also an IMPERSONAL ACTIVITY. Please see UPADESHASAHASRI - Chapter 18 - Sloka 1.
@@souravghosh7558 But Sir, I would like to point out that we are trying to see TRUTH as in ITSELF and not modify it or change the narrative so as to suit our convenience/or satisfy our intellectual modelling. Vedantic wisdom is NOT divorced from "practical life" for that matter. Afterall, the Upanishads are the effusions of our ancient seers after their study of LIFE IN ITS TOTALITY.
@@tvame1183 Thank you Bidhan. Yes, I listened to the section between 7:06 and 10:30, again. It does not address the point I was trying to make. My pointer was: Having recognized that thoughts are IMPERSONAL activities, you were stating that : "YOU-AN INDIVIDUAL" can decide on which thoughts to engage with and which ones to let go of - in other words, you are still conceding that an INDIVIDUAL gets to make choices. This is where I disagree with you. An individual is neither the creator nor the director/chooser of thoughts, at any point. THE ENTIRETY OF "THINKING PROCESS" IS STRICTLY IMPERSONAL ACTIVITY.

What will be a world look like if 100% of people are enlightened? Does it mean 0% sins(greed, pride, murder ,envy etc)in the world? Or does it mean, people can do whatever they want and since they are detached from it(due to enlightenment) they will still find peace?
Certainly, the blessed souls will receive these video .. such a valuable

In my limited understanding, he probably is referring to a relatable practical benefit of folliwing the spiritual path

Spirituality should get full time.If we do worldly work and at the same time want to be spiritual ...this is not possible.
We can certainly try Karma Yoga to be spiritual while engaging in the worldly affairs 🙏

Enlightenment means going beyond the both good and bad 😊
First and foremost requirement of spirituality is know the "Self". If you don't know yourself then you are living your life in falsehood.
