They posted on their site that they are having a 'break'. The reason why they are having this 'break' is so beautiful as they soul is. They don't care about money, they care about making music to be good, not to sell. They do this and, I believe, specially for us, so we don't get crappy, but genuine and meaningful music. Anyone else hear their other songs at the end? My personal favorite is "Some Nights" so I was sooooo happy when I heard it at both the beginning and end. (if you didn't hear it at the beginning listen closely to the airport's music)

I loved how my dad would play this whole album full volume when me and my sister drove around without my mom, but when my mom was in the car he always made sure it wasn't too loud because she had blow ear drums... they've still been married for 20 years, been together for longer than that.. I'm lucky to have been shown what true love is. The whole point of this comment if you're even still reading this is that this band will always have a meaning to my life, and I think that's whats more important than being well known, is just knowing your music has made an impact on the ones who deserve to hear their lyrics. The ones who hear his voice and smile no matter the context of the song.

It took me quite a while to wrap my head around the meaning of this song, and this was my conclusion: it is about a man that is ready to really invest emotionally in a relationship. The relationship isn't perfect, it has numerous issues, and I think those issues are individual and personal. They are both facing something in their heads which is challenging them and causing misunderstanding, but he is ready to work it out and he is hopeful. He feels that hey belong together, even with all the pressure. But, what really kills his vibe and diminishes his hope is the fact that is he is faced with her lack of willingness to work it out, maybe due to tiredness and depression, or just a general pessimistic view. He sees that she is dissatisfied and has no hope (''if you were thinking that the worst is yet to come''), and he wonders why it's, again, on him to cut it off and make the decision to leave, when he isn't the one that wants that. If it was on him to decide, he would stay, but he's had too much of this unevenness in their feelings. It's like he is inviting her to leave if she really feels that this thing between them has no future. This is actually a song about emotional indecisiveness and being on different pages with your partner emotionally. That's how I read it, at least. I think it's cool how we never fin out what really happened between them. I personally tend to assume that he realized he needs to find his own home and independence from her negativity, which is why the song ends in ''I'll move back down..'', as if he really will pack his stuff and leave, for better or for worse.

I took the song as a man in a troubled marriage/relationship, they fight often and she often kicks him out the house “why I am the one always packing up my stuff” but he’s finally had enough and want to talk things out so makes a stand “for once I get the feeling that I’m right where I belong” he doesn’t want to leave, he’s made his mind up to stay and sort things out as the song ends with “and I think I kinda like it” showing how he likes the relationship despite its issues. The “I’ll move back down” part could also show how they are living apart at the moment, taking a break from each other, but he’s decided to move back in with her and sort it out.

What is with all the stupid comments about the suitcase? It obviously represents something, be it a struggle he's dealing with, a memory he's having a hard time letting go of, maybe it even represents himself, as we see how battered up and worn it becomes over time. Part of the beauty of this song and video is that you can discover what it means to you, and it can be deeply personal. If y'all are too shallow to see the symbolism and significance of the suitcase, and think its nothing more than Nate simply singing to a suitcase, than go home and read a book you walnut. This band beautiful and real and deep, and I sincerely hope everyone who comes her can appreciate it. This is talent, guys.

The connection with this song to "Some Nights" really does it for me. The airport music is the melody of Some Nights, and at 4:57 there's a muffled lyric of Some Nights in the background: "When I see stars, that's all they are. When I hear a song..." Some Nights is my favorite by them, but with this song's relatability and tone it comes in close.
This, as well as "Some Nights" also have connections to the song "Stars", which "Stars" is my favorite song of theirs. :D

I love when I stumble across a musical gem from a band i already love.
This MIGHT be about how they're trying to leave behind the fame of their band and songs, but the luggage (The Band Itself) always comes back to them. It also talks about how "I think I kinda liked it, but". Some obvious hints. But I think it delivers a very serious message.
The majority of their songs have an amazing message. These days music is always everywhere and it doesn't make much sense. That's why I'm into old ish music.
Listening to Fun will never put you to sleep, as they are that energetic.

Everytime I listen to this song, I always feel sad and miss my dad at the same time. It's because the 80's vibe in this song's reff reminds me of songs my dad always listened to when I was still a kid. I'm 32 now.

it's so sad how this person he likes tells him he's wrong how he lives his life and he agrees it's been rough - but when he caves in and does what she thinks is right - he's told he's wrong and so he has (and is told) to leave - where he can finally be himself. At the end he realizes what he feels really truly is the right way - because the world understands and supports it (hence the suitcase coming to them in the end).
