I miss FUN. Highly under appreciated and I love how their music feels timeless. Their breakdown of the tracks on Spotify makes me sad and I hope that eventually they’ll reunite to give us more immaculate music.
They posted on their site that they are having a 'break'. The reason why they are having this 'break' is so beautiful as they soul is. They don't care about money, they care about making music to be good, not to sell. They do this and, I believe, specially for us, so we don't get crappy, but genuine and meaningful music. I loved how my dad would play this whole album full volume when me and my sister drove around without my mom, but when my mom was in the car he always made sure it wasn't too loud because she had blow ear drums... they've still been married for 20 years, been together for longer than that.. I'm lucky to have been shown what true love is. The whole point of this comment if you're even still reading this is that this band will always have a meaning to my life, and I think that's whats more important than being well known, is just knowing your music has made an impact on the ones who deserve to hear their lyrics. It took me quite a while to wrap my head around the meaning of this song, and this was my conclusion: it is about a man that is ready to really invest emotionally in a relationship. The relationship isn't perfect, it has numerous issues, and I think those issues are individual and personal. They are both facing something in their heads which is challenging them and causing misunderstanding, but he is ready to work it out and he is hopeful. He feels that hey belong together, even with all the pressure. But, what really kills his vibe and diminishes his hope is the fact that is he is faced with her lack of willingness to work it out, maybe due to tiredness and depression, or just a general pessimistic view. He sees that she is dissatisfied and has no hope (''if you were thinking that the worst is yet to come''), and he wonders why it's, again, on him to cut it off and make the decision to leave, when he isn't the one that wants that. If it was on him to decide, he would stay, but he's had too much of this unevenness in their feelings. It's like he is inviting her to leave if she really feels that this thing between them has no future. This is actually a song about emotional indecisiveness and being on different pages with your partner emotionally. That's how I read it, at least. I think it's cool how we never fin out what really happened between them. I personally tend to assume that he realized he needs to find his own home and independence from her negativity, which is why the song ends in ''I'll move back down..'', as if he really will pack his stuff and leave, for better or for worse.

This MIGHT be about how they're trying to leave behind the fame of their band and songs, but the luggage (The Band Itself) always comes back to them. It also talks about how "I think I kinda liked it, but". Some obvious hints. But I think it delivers a very serious message.
Someone very special dedicated this song to me back then. We lost touch and then met up again after 4 years last week and this song is the first one that came to my mind when I saw him. It brought back so many memories and so nostalgic.
it's so sad how this person he likes tells him he's wrong how he lives his life and he agrees it's been rough - but when he caves in and does what she thinks is right - he's told he's wrong and so he has (and is told) to leave - where he can finally be himself. The connection with this song to "Some Nights" really does it for me. The airport music is the melody of Some Nights, and at 4:57 there's a muffled lyric of Some Nights in the background: "When I see stars, that's all they are. When I hear a song..." Some Nights is my favorite by them, but with this song's relatability and tone it comes in close.
This, as well as "Some Nights" also have connections to the song "Stars", which "Stars" is my favorite song of theirs. :D

that part of the 'night out in los angeles' really rings true. We all have been there - where we just try to live up to what LA's hype has to offer only to get scrubbed - chewed up, spit out, and broke if not looking at all the broke and brokenness. Gosh it has some nice stuff - really nice, but it's so fleeting. I can see the wants to stay in bed after that. Nightmare bite. I love how this song is about integrity - knowing what's not you and just going for it! Going back where it all happened and belong - even if there isn't much - it's something - our own. And if not - we can follow and see and at least know what it was all about. Realizing who we really are - it's freeing this song. We all get abraded by the same thing - thinking it's us and it's just not - this song just admits what we all knew deep down but no one said.

This MIGHT be about how they're trying to leave behind the fame of their band and songs, but the luggage (The Band Itself) always comes back to them. It also talks about how "I think I kinda liked it, but". Some obvious hints. But I think it delivers a very serious message.

Someone very special dedicated this song to me back then. We lost touch and then met up again after 4 years last week and this song is the first one that came to my mind when I saw him. It brought back so many memories and so nostalgic.
it's so sad how this person he likes tells him he's wrong how he lives his life and he agrees it's been rough - but when he caves in and does what she thinks is right - he's told he's wrong and so he has (and is told) to leave - where he can finally be himself. At the end he realizes what he feels really truly is the right way - because the world understands and supports it (hence the suitcase coming to them in the end).
