    Sick build! You have just inspired me too go out and build one. I will be doing something like this for my grill. Love that you can move it around instead of that old style “ your in the corner grill station “ I like being part of the mix and watching the football games as I grill too 😂😂 and it being portable I can set up where I please! 😅 thanks for sharing 👍🏾

      Next spring I’m planning on adding another mobile component. Right now, I’m thinking a separately tower with more lower storage, and built-in ice box/cooler in the top countertop.
      Should be a really nice addition. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out on the upgrade ;) 👍🏽

    He didn’t show it, another couple made about an identical grill station a year or so ago but they demonstrated how you can use a flush trim bit to not only get perfect lines when fitting your T-11 siding onto your 2x4 structure, but also flush trim where all the edges meet in all the corners where the ridges are to make it appear perfectly mitred and seamless. It’s a very easy trick that makes your build appear that much more professional and incase you can’t afford a track saw and suck at using a circular saw even with a straight edge, this allows you to trim route a perfect fitted panel so long as you’ve left enough around all edges to trim off. Nice build and I like how it fits this kind of grill

      Good call on Molly and Dyland’s grill station, I meant to post a link to theirs but forgot haha.
      I will say, I don’t think they did concrete countertops. If I remember correctly, they opted for butchblock. 👍🏽

  • @adnivara777

    Such a clean build! Do you feel like the inside wooden frame was sufficiently weatherproofed and the paint was enough to seal off the corners? Been thinking of using Hardie board for an outdoor kitchen myself, but I thought I'd need to do more to protect the inside from moisture and stuff.

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man!
      So the station has been up since Sept of last year, the inside is still rock solid 👍🏽. Just be super to caulk your seams and use an exterior rated paint and you should be good.
      I have plans for this one if you need a kick start ;)

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Been up for a little over 1 month now, zero issues whatsoever. I’m pretty sure this stuff was initially meant for house and shed siding, so it should hold up long term for sure 👍🏽 I’m also betting an exterior rated paint is helping too

    Great Video friend! Any concerns about heat/dispersion with the smoker?

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a great question - but nope, zero problems whatsoever. Smokers generally run between 200-300, 400 on the real high end. Compared to a propane grill that might hit 650 on accident.
      In either event, concrete is doing great a year later and not so much as a smudge heat mark on the cabinet facing.
      Thanks for checking out the video!

    For outdoor use, how long will the 2x4 hold up? Or will the Hardie siding protect the wood from the weather impacts?

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Solid question Rick. 2x4s are in great condition, the hardie siding is exterior-rated and protects them perfectly. We’re 1 full year in, and no issues to speak of. Thanks for checking out the video! Don’t miss out of the linked plans ;)👍🏽

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Patel, I've had this grill station for over 2 years now, and its holding up just fine. Weather has not been an issue at all. Just be sure to exterior-rated paint and stainless steel doors and you should be fine. The only thing I'd change about this build is maybe using sturdier casters/wheels. They're fine if you only move it a bit around the patio. But we moved houses and mine couldn't handle the transport without buckling haha. Otherwise, this station is holding up like a tank! Thanks for checking out the video, plans are in the description if you want to give this project a try!
