I eat once a day and everyone tells me how unhealthy this is. However most of these people are over weight. In my opinion, as a society we constantly over eat forcing our bodies to be in continuous digestion.
There was a video about a scientist slash product creator in Japan. He made stuff like markers n notebooks that write under water. He only eats 1 meal a day and sleeps 4 hours a day. It was incredibly interesting. His 1 meal of choice was a curry rice sorta thing he made that had stuff added to cover his vitamin mineral etc needs. Was a good watch
@Jennifer Raymond: I find that people that always give unsolicited advice usually have absolutely no idea about what they are actually giving advice on, and if it's about diet and health, they are usually extremely unhealthy.
My mom started eating once a day and cured her psoriasis that she's been battling for 25 years. To say she is extremely happy is an absolute understatement.
@@ksweetist She just eats normal. Eggs toast or sandwich and veggies . Fasting for 12 hours or so. She has dinner around 6 or so and then doesn't eat until lunch time the next day. She eats lunch and dinner so maybe she eats twice a day with the long fast over night. Her skin has totally healed and she's the happiest Mom in the world.
I just told my dad yesterday that the only way I can control my anxiety without meds is to not eat. It gives me a calming feeling. Sometimes the body needs a break. It's ok to fast.
It's funny when people say fasting is unhealthy or you're starving yourself. The more I learn about fasting the more I'm convinced It's one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself.
Have you ever fasted yourself? If so, did you take K and Mg supplements or multivitamins? I've been wanting to fast for so long now but I'm a little warry of doing it without the proper supplementation.
@@astronautadejakku9699 you can do the sea salt water and if needed it's also good the use a good electrolyte powder with no sugar and additives. However you can do a fast without the electrolytes if you want you will still benefit greatly from it. I've only done a 24 hour fast in terms of prolonged fasts and I just added some salt to water and drank teas and stuff
@@astronautadejakku9699 in short I'd say it would be optimal to use electrolytes or salt water but I wouldn't worry about it hugely if you don't because as I said you will still benefit greatly. Just ease your way in so it's easier for you

I accidentally lost 50 pounds by switching up to one meal a day when my work schedule changed to afternoons and nights. I was sleeping in through breakfast and would just have a cup of coffee after waking. Wouldn't be hungry so started skipping lunch and having a meal regularly around 7 p.m. in the afternoon. I'm 50 years old and holding steady at my old high school weight for the first time in my life and feel great. The only downside was having to replace my entire wardrobe with clothes that fit. Came to that conclusion when I was standing in line at the grocery store and my old shorts fell down around my ankles in front of everyone and I said, "Screw this, we're going shopping for new clothes."
I did. I realized that I was allergic to soy, dairy, eggs and shellfish. I had to abstain from these foods and 1 year worth of acupuncture got rid of it.
YES! I have dermatitis on my face but my face has cleared since I stopped eating crap, I eat a small meal and maybe one or two green drinks that I make at home. So yes the less I eat my skin is also MUCH better! It’s crazy.
I've now been fasting 19-20 hours per 24 hrs. For the last 5 weeks. It's helped so much with my depression and helped me lose 1 stone in weight. I will continue with this.
ive been fasting for a year - 20-22 hours a day, sometimes 48 hours maybe once a week. Eat a good meal most days and ensure im getting all the right nutrition,. I lost 60kg, reversed diabetes type 2, and when combined with exercise I got off anti depression pills. brain is much sharper and all my indigestion problems are long gone. Its a great way of taking care of yourself, especially when you study the cell regeneration and replacement and overall way the body works. Once you do it for a period of time, you never get hungry. Everyone overeats - I was guilty as anyone else.
@Sandy Shines drink a lot of water, have variety of fruits and vegetables, small portions of meat you can try fish, and the most important be conscious of what are you feeling, don't let your body stays in automatic mode
That's great but aren't we supposed to go "potty" everyday? If we don't have food in us for lets say two days how can we get the yuckies out or will there be no yuckies because no food?
Im doing that now fasting like you said about 22 hrs a day... unfortunately I just started so im in the angry phase right now... angry bcoz I wish I could say its not making me feel better so I can eat but having to admit that after only 5 days I feel great and I want to keep feeling great... I know I got a ways to go but I think im really going to make it this time the benefits are to good not to...
This new lifestyle has cured me. No more IBS, muscle and joint pain, no more bone pain. I am learning self control. Food does not own me no more! 🙌 I eat to live. I don't live to eat.
08/15/19 I agree that you are what you think you are & what you do to manifest what you think you are in real life. Therefore, you think the thoughts~ Then you show that your thoughts are more than fantasy- By walking the thoughts to actual fruition. Put in the work or be a jerk!
I did a 24 hour fast recently and I was planning on eating when I got home about that 24 hour point. I just decided that I would go to sleep and extend my fast so I ended up going 34 ish hours instead. I will openly admit that I used to be controlled by food and that I can see how most people are addicted to food and food habits.
Your bang on, its the junk food and snacks I got addicted to during lockdown. I put on over 2 stone , I wasn't eating this crap b 4 in fact I was an intermittent eater. I went through a bad NDE in 2019, I was dealing with everything really well and bam convid. Lockdown. I hardly went out or exercised and in the evening would sit alone watching TV eatting crips and ice cream biscuits just junk. Not ever night but most nights. Anyway I new I'd gained weight 🤪 but was denying it untill I stepped on my scales.omg I was shocked. I'm 5ft tall and it's not got on my body , my back has been really bad . Since losing a stone in weight my back feels a lot better. My chest pains have been better also. I have Angina also. I surpose I want to get back into my nice jeans and cloths but my health was the first thing. I'm now going on another fast. I could live of the fat round my waist lol. It works . It's good for your health just cut out the junk
Extended fasting will do more to improve your health than anything else. You start to understand your food addictions, your mental acuity gets sharper, you lose FAT rapidly while maintaining MUSCLE & increasing Growth Hormone levels. It's probably the most important practice I've brought into my life.
Same here, people tend to believe you constantly need food and drinks to keep your energy going. This is just a reprogramming phase, when your body starts living of fat reserves it actually is the best fule for the brain. With fasting I could also see skin improvents, and a lot of other health benefits.
I was in a keto group that had long since devolved into a prolonged extended fasting group and everyone in the group looked very haggard and aged? I would think it was just being thin and not having fat on their faces but I am medically underweight and don’t look this way. Does anyone understand the mechanism of this? My health and vanity are at war. I want to stay optimally healthy but do not want to look weathered and drawn in exchange. Perhaps taking collagen whilst “fasting” I think at least some were dry fasting. I know this is correlation and only one group but they truly looked haggard. I love the look of being underweight and this was beyond that it was something being lost in elasticity and tone and it really put me off that path
What about your muscles though? And your body taking from the stores that you have and depleting them?? Can you educate me on this?? Since when I fast it’s what I like typically but I also notice that I lose muscle in certain areas. And keep fat in the same areas.. but I intermittently fast almost every day.
@@erindianacathey96 You are gonna lose fat all over your body but some parts are gonna hold more fat than others. Its gonna take getting really lean to get those parts that hold the most fat more noticeably lean. As far as the muscle sometimes we think we have more muscle than we think but when we start to lose weight it turns out you might not have as much muscle there as you thought.
The issue that I noticed with fasting is that people try to make it too scientific, too precise and too strict. For me it's best to keep it simple. Most days that I work out I eat 2 meals which lets me fast for about 18 or so hours. The days I don't work out I eat one meal and sometimes I don't eat. Depends how I feel. On the weekends I usually fast for 30+ hours but if I feel hungry, I'll eat. It's that simple. Yes, sometimes I decide to fast for a certain period of time, but it's not a religion. It doesn't have to be every day. Your bodies are designed for variety. Not just in food but in when you eat. And everyone's body is different. So, keep it simple. Eat when you're really hungry. Fast often, but not too long. And for F#### sake WORK OUT. It's amazing when you get good at it.
Totally agree. I imagine that's how we used to eat a long time ago: some day plentiful, some days sparse. Sometimes days a lot of physical work, some days a lot of sitting around. Makes total sense
Just completed a 15 day water fast. Lost 30lbs from 376 and BOY did it make a huge difference. It gave me the paradigm shift I needed to start another two more weeks.
Just a word from experience... It's ok to do that for the first time when you have a lot of weight to lose, but you will lose muscle too, which in turn will slow your metabolism, so try to do 2 - 3 day fasts and have enough protein and do strength training so you build back muscle and stay fit and light, otherwise you could yoyo yourself back to the weight you lost
@@lucringo6798 I’m also on my second day! Well as of right now I’ve been 54 hrs fasting… I’ve done 2 days before, I’m trying to do the 72 hrs this time or maybe a little more let’s see how it goes, but so far feeling good! You can do it! 💪🏼

Great job!! The longest water fast I've completed is 15 days too! It is an enlightening experience and gives you a huge mental, health, and spiritual reset. It helped break food addiction to refined carbs, sugar, and binge eating. Be careful with the refeed and ease into it.

My grandmother is 84 and stronger and healthier than most of us younger ones, especially my mothers siblings and that age group. She has stretched and done yoga before America thought it cool. She has exercised her entire life and lived off most of the food she grew. She also said that sometimes she will cut out an entire food group for a period of time. She said she lost weight and felt better. Once she felt done for the time period she would slowly re-introduce the food group to help her system digest it easier. I think that is something interesting.
I did 90 hours fasting my first time and it cured me off caffeine addiction, and sugar in one go. Losing 15 lbs was a plus. My acne disappeared as well. I will give it 10nout 10 review
@Dachs & Rottweiler surprisingly I did train on my days of fast. Mind you it was light weights and I had a lot in tank than I expected on cardio. No I did not lose muscle it is just 3 days not 21 days. And even I seen people who did 21 they loss were majority fat. The ones that didn't exercise during lost some muscle but the ones that did didn't lose as muchbas you would expect it

My wife’s father lives on 3 meals a day mostly meat rice beans. He is 86, takes no tablets, goes to the gym 3 x per week. Both your example and mine are N=1 anecdotes which mean nothing in statistical terms. Just like everyone knows someone who had a grandparent back in the day who smoked 80 cigarettes a day their whole life and lived to 100. 😉
@Kundan Singh Adhikari Sounded like 1 week fast, 4x a year. So every 3 months. I've fasted 3-4 days twice over the past 2 years and noticed great health benefits (cognitive, skin, digestion, etc). I'm sure a 1 week fast every 3 months does wonders for health and longevity.
I have lost 40kg(89llb) in about 4 months from fasting everyday, just eating once a day and minimum 10k steps per day and I haven't missed one day till this moment. I also did integrate going to the gym 5 to 6 days à week. I feel very good now
Based on my experience, I think there is no need to complicate your diet. I are normal, didn't do any specific diet l, just ate proper meals and tried to put my calories between 800 to about max 1200. I didn't do any keto or vegan or any other sort of diet, I was just consistent with my fasting and calories intake. Also I didn't eat cheese and avoided all deep fried foods, drank only water no alcohol, no juice just water. That's was just it

Wow Tom, you were born to interview! You listen so keenly and actively then ask very intelligent questions, not just the ones you planned to ask but the ones based on what you're hearing. You are sooo good at what you do.
It has taken me decades to catch up all the wonderful information that is provided through the Internet and through the books that I read. I was severely traumatized growing up in a family where my parents were emotionally dysfunctional. The result was I had a stutter that caused both myself and my teachers to think that I was probably stupid. That was 20 years ago. I have developed confidence that has taken the stuttering tongue away! So I’m thankful to anyone that can provide me with information that is cutting edge technology. Thank you Tom!

Marlene Holley the only parts I see are “Food isn’t my life - I eat to live” Quite the conundrum ya got there but I get the point this paradoxical statement is attempting to make 🤪 I’d say its a large part of your day if it’s what sustains your life 🤷🏻♀️
In the spring and summer we eat from sprouting plants, flowers, etc in the winter we should eat tubers and other underground nutrition. During the winter the energy from the plants is stored in the roots, etc once the spring arrives the energy and nutrients begin to travel from the roots to the stems and leaves.
I am going on to three months of doing omad and the truth is I feel great. I have never been so positive in my life. I had issues with weight all my life. I have lost alot of weight. I feel great. I think many people do not understand and see how much we eat and how powerful the human body is.
Man, the mind is so powerful! We can talk ourselves into any kind of illness, if we worry about it all the time. Been there, done that. I do find fasting to be easy and I feel so good. I’ve only done a couple days at a time, and mostly do one meal a day. My issue is finding food to keep my weight up. I don’t want to lose weight.
Resonated a lot w/ Mike Mutzel. I do 22/2 fasting - albeit for religious purposes - for 40 or 80 days at time. Definitely more mental clarity, less forgetfulness, and more mental bandwidth. I definitely enjoy life more when on a fast
This guy is one of the best interviewers I've observed so far. He has opinions and yet is open-minded to a new unorthodox suggestion, gives the right space to his interviewees to talk, does his fuckin research well, and therefore asks legit questions.
True. I find it funny that people's first thought during epidemics or snow storms etc is quick! stock up on food. You can go quite awhile without food. There is so much food in America. I find most people don't care about neighbors and others like they use to. But boy if they think someone might not have food they will contribute even to complete strangers. As if food is the most important thing. Especially a bunch of processed unhealthy food.
@@TheFirstCalled.60AD a human can go with out food about "3 weeks" without food, obviously there are instances where people have gone longer. but you cannot go more than 4-5 days without water. keep in mind that historically people didn't eat all day long OR everyday. So I believe that's what they mean by overrated.
I eat once a day around 1pm sometimes I'll have a smoothie in the am but after that I eat once around 1pm and I'm done. People tell me I have an eating disorder I tell them it works for me and I feel better for it. Great post dude 👌
Me too! My time is 1 and that's it. Nothing but just water and green tea until the next day. Only if I know I'm getting too hungry I would eat at noon.
Nonsense! He took the conversatiin away from fasting to twinkie diets and calorie counting and away from fasting. He needs to keep his mouth shut now and then

I always loved food so much... for me is a struggle to fast. Food brings comfort. Sometimes I eat just because it feels good to eat while watching my favorite youtubers. Well, the benefits of fasting are so great that is worth trying.

Listen to how sharp this man is, he’s been fasting for 24 hours a whole day without food, let that sink in if your still thinking you need food to function
Apparently adrenaline kicks in...at 36 hours of fasting I felt great, energy all day. My morning blood sugar was in the low 80’s but then kicked up to 110 after a walk, my liver was releasing glucose for energy, very fascinating. I’m dealing with type 2 diabetes, keto diet got me most of the way to lowering my blood sugar into the normal range and fasting is so easy because i’m not having carbohydrate withdrawals.

I've always tried to eat healthy, exercise/weight lift, but my genetics were catching up to me. Both parents were on bp and cholesterol meds by their 30's. Even with my efforts, cholesterol was creeping up, and bp was borderline hypertensive. Started intermittent fasting, and trained down to one healthy meal a day before 7pm, and everything changed. Cholesterol and bp dropped to teenager levels, and weight is slowly coming down, I feel so awake all the time too - I didn't realize how tired I was. I can actually see the effects of my weight lifting since starting fasting too. This is it y'all.
Fasting is the most amazing way of living, that changed my life completely, I started IF 4 months ago including keto and carnivore diet ,man i lost 31 pounds, I feel so energetic, more confident, the best feeling is when your friends and family noticed the body changes and congratulate you for the efforts ,amazing 👌

The comment about taking ancestry into consideration as well as your local environment is very important. Also, the role of mind can’t be underestimated, and in the countless hours of nutrition/health talk I’ve listened to, I notice it often is not only underestimated but outright disregarded. Great guest!
When I don’t eat for a day, I can feel the weight leave my body instantly. If I go beyond 2 days I can only imagine what it will do! We don’t live to eat, we eat to live!

Hi. Have a look at dr becky gillaspy. She really explains everything in the most simple way. I am almost 3 stone down now with 2 to go and finding it the easiest way ever. Im 60 and a life time dieter. This time i know i have it sorted.
1. i think what i gonna eat 2. i think where i'll go 3. i eat 4. i cant do shit for like 1 hour minimum one meal takes 2-3 hours everyday, that's why fast food and browsing while eating is popular
It's obsessive and addictive with most people. It's like people who are clearly not starving are remembering starving on a cellular level. There is no reason to be so consumed with food in today's society. It is getting on par with gluttony for some.
I have an unhealthy relationship with food. I eat when I'm stressed 😩. Working nights as a nurse...I am aways stressed Today is going to be my first day of fasting and I'm already anxious about being hungry during my shift. It's going to take me a while to change my mindset for sure
Green tea will help you ease your mind and not be so aware of being hungry. The personal satisfaction of having fasted, and knowing how well you’re treating your body from the inside out, are so rewarding. Keep going. You can do it. ♥️
I am also a nurse and I find working night shift is the perfect time to fast. Start at night 6pm,11pm or 12am. I will usually have my last meal before the start of my night shift. That way the first few hours your distracted, and then hopefully sleeping. The hardest part is the first 36 hours. Don’t go into the Lunchroom at work. Stay away from others while they’re eating. Watch a quick YT video for motivation. I’ve fasted during work many times, you will be fine. In fact, I believe I loose more weight during fast because I am active. Get good quality electrolyte drops and add to water to avoid arrhythmias or palpitations due to withdrawal. Currently on a 10 day water fast (longest has been 5 days previously) I am 4 days in and have lost 10 pounds. Starting weight 192.
36 hours of fasting for me is within my comfort as well. After that point I can feel my stress levels elevate and I start feeling pretty uncomfortable. I have been doing IF now for 3 months and lost about 10 kg and I only have about 5 more kg to go to my ideal weight, so I don't have any big reasons to go beyond 36 hours of fasting anyway. Good luck to everyone doing IF! :)
I AGREE. i feel like the task of eating is so nagging and time consuming. i used to struggle with food a lot but sometimes having to eat is just an annoyance.
@@pavankumar-nb9bx I would usually make my one meal a large one. A huge salad and grilled chicken, or zucchini noodles with meatballs and coleslaw. I was also making my one meal a low carb one. It worked for me, covid shutting down my job temporarily knocked me about of routine, though

Many Christians have been doing this, fasting, for generations. Not necessarily for a health benefit but for clarity, sacrifice and to draw closer to God. It's not random but there is an encouragement to pray, worship and listen during those times that you would be eating. Also, it's done at certain periods of the year and done corporately, ie the entire church body.
My daughter is 8 and she hardly ever has breakfast. She’s just not hungry. I used to get frustrated as I wanted her to have a good breakfast and not be hungry before lunch at school. But she’s actually not hungry before lunch. Soni don’t force her to have breakfast. She listens to her body, and I’m OK with that.
@@cryptochris5336 that's harshly put... Although i agree. Kids rarely want to eat. But they need it, because they're still growing and developing, they need way more food than one might think. Fasting, intermediate fasting etc is for adults.
@@cryptochris5336It could be construed as being neglectful, not ordering your kids to eat breakfast but I think at 8 if the daughter really wanted to eat she could make it herself, and maybe it would just create conflict if it was a forced thing. It wasn't the way my generation did things but maybe different strokes for different folks?
Good for you! I hated eating breakfast as a child. It made me feel nauseous and I couldn’t properly wake up. My parents fought me with it for years. By 15, I was doing it my way, and now at age 59, I believe that listening to my body was smart. I’ve never been overweight and I’m extremely healthy at my age.
I have fasted all day everyday all of my adult life. Although I did not know that I was fasting I was just doing what made my body happy. I have always been active and my work has always included lots of activity. I eat supper and eat whatever I wanted for snacking at night. I never called it or knew I was fasting. I just always considered myself a nocturnal feeder! I have always been thin, healthy and had great muscle tone. I was told so often that it was wrong & would make my body think it was being starved and get fat. That has never happened. The only exercise I have ever done consistently is Yoga. Every time I tried to eat breakfast or lunch like people told me I had to do. I would feel loss of energy & feel lazy. I am 56 years old and I have recently cut my sugar intake because I ate a lot of sugar. There is so much research about the harmful effects of sugar. But that is the only adjustment I have made. So, my theory remains listen to your body and what works positively for you.
Spent the whole interview marvelling at how healthy Mike looks and how tired Tom looks. I think what Mike was saying about sleep being an essential part of the whole diet thing is crucial. Whatever you are doing and eating Mike (@High Intensity Health) you must be doing something right because you look radiant with health.
He tapes his mouth closed every night!! I never heard of it (or him) but stumbled across a community post of some random guy with a band-aid over his mouth saying "if you run out of mouth tape use this!" ..I was thinking "what the heck is this guy up to???" so watched the video he had linked, and he was talking about taping your mouth closed while you sleep and said you'll sleep much better. I've been exhausted for YEARS even though I sleep 7-9 hours a night so I was like "okay I'm going to try it". I bought regular dressing strip (like the fabric band-aids that you cut to size yourself) from the store, and started taping my mouth closed when I go to bed. And OMG I am actually waking up every morning before my alarm goes off, ready to get out of bed!!! Before that, I'd hit snooze like 4 times and it would be a huge struggle to drag myself out of bed every morning and I'd be tired ALL day. I always felt like I wasn't getting enough sleep, my body felt heavy and lethargic, I would have to take naps just to make it through the day, and I'd would be EXHAUSTED again when I woke up after an 8 hour sleep :o Now I am waking up literally energised and feeling like I had a full nights sleep, and can get out of bed immediately without a struggle or anything. I've never experienced that before, even when I was a kid! This is some crazy secret that everyone should be doing I think - it's insane!! So anyway that's how I found Mike, and yeah he sleeps so well because him and his partner both tape their mouths closed when they go to bed each night ^_^
@@Highintensityhealth - Mike you saved my sleep with all the info you shared online about mouth taping, I had always put my perpetual exhaustion down to depression and so did the doctors!

It's amazing how we once think we can't starve for an hour or for a minute, but we we are now able to control ourselves 😌.
Will this help with hypertrophy etc? Guess we were taught we need to eat six small meals a day to maintain or to grow muscle
I am proud of him. He took a potentially bad diagnosis and improved his quality of life. Very well done.
Appreciate you, Stacy!
Very good advice!
V well said

Just a word from experience... It's ok to do that for the first time when you have a lot of weight to lose, but you will lose muscle too, which in turn will slow your metabolism, so try to do 2 - 3 day fasts and have enough protein and do strength training so you build back muscle and stay fit and light, otherwise you could yoyo yourself back to the weight you lost

She has exercised her entire life and lived off most of the food she grew. She also said that sometimes she will cut out an entire food group for a period of time.
We glorify food as a culture too much
and waste 45 % of all food produced in the same time ......over consumption goes on all levels apart from food exaggeration patterns .
ABSOLUTELY and most of America is overweight...sooooo
Its a culture but most of all it's a HUGE business.
What do you want to do, ban food?
Yes we do,
I'm on my day 4, so I am very impressed with fasting. TY for this. Spread the word. Eating is overrated.
Eating is overrated lol i love you your so right! im on day 3
I agree!!!
So is water overrated.. why don't you stop both and see how far you get
@@TheFirstCalled.60AD a human can go with out food about "3 weeks" without food, obviously there are instances where people have gone longer. but you cannot go more than 4-5 days without water. keep in mind that historically people didn't eat all day long OR everyday. So I believe that's what they mean by overrated.

Me too! My time is 1 and that's it. Nothing but just water and green tea until the next day. Only if I know I'm getting too hungry I would eat at noon.
Tom has to be the best listener and interviewer ever!

Yes, he seems really interested and eager to hear more
Nonsense! He took the conversatiin away from fasting to twinkie diets and calorie counting and away from fasting. He needs to keep his mouth shut now and then

He's a very talented listener.
I'm 7 days into only eating once every 24hrs. Day one is hard. But everyday after is so much easier. And energy and function comes back, I'm losing weight instantly. I'm feeling great
I always loved food so much... for me is a struggle to fast. Food brings comfort. Sometimes I eat just because it feels good to eat while watching my favorite youtubers. Well, the benefits of fasting are so great that is worth trying.
Camilla, please give it a try!! Spiritual speaking!Peace and🙏💐⌚
me too. Food is comfort and love and nurture to my mind. Perhaps it works if you can look at practicing fasting as a little self love?
I completely relate. IF has changed my life. I wish I had discovered its benefits many years ago. However, I still struggle sometimes with eating for comfort/pleasure during my eating window. It's a journey.

You nailed it again, Tom. Love you, man.
Listen to how sharp this man is, he’s been fasting for 24 hours a whole day without food, let that sink in if your still thinking you need food to function
@James East For sure James, good name for real for real 👍
Apparently adrenaline kicks in...at 36 hours of fasting I felt great, energy all day. My morning blood sugar was in the low 80’s but then kicked up to 110 after a walk, my liver was releasing glucose for energy, very fascinating.
I’m dealing with type 2 diabetes, keto diet got me most of the way to lowering my blood sugar into the normal range and fasting is so easy because i’m not having carbohydrate withdrawals.
I mean, you DO need food to function! lol
You just don't need as much as most people think to function normally.
Spoken like a person with an eating disorder. Of course you need food to function!

Fasting is mention in the Bible. It's good for the body for health and spiritual growth.
“We take up so much of our mental bandwidth” (thinking about eating). SO true.
Sadly, yes!
Another reason to fast😊
1. i think what i gonna eat
2. i think where i'll go
3. i eat
4. i cant do shit for like 1 hour minimum
one meal takes 2-3 hours everyday, that's why fast food and browsing while eating is popular
It's obsessive and addictive with most people. It's like people who are clearly not starving are remembering starving on a cellular level. There is no reason to be so consumed with food in today's society. It is getting on par with gluttony for some.

Green tea will help you ease your mind and not be so aware of being hungry. The personal satisfaction of having fasted, and knowing how well you’re treating your body from the inside out, are so rewarding. Keep going. You can do it. ♥️
@@carmenrenee5146 I appreciate that
Appetite suppressants combined with cognitive behavioral therapy (from a therapist or even YT videos) will work perfectly for you!
@@cherrysOnTOP100 do you have any recommendations on electrolyte drops?
36 hours of fasting for me is within my comfort as well. After that point I can feel my stress levels elevate and I start feeling pretty uncomfortable. I have been doing IF now for 3 months and lost about 10 kg and I only have about 5 more kg to go to my ideal weight, so I don't have any big reasons to go beyond 36 hours of fasting anyway. Good luck to everyone doing IF! :)

I don't need to live longer. I just need to live feeling amazing.

@@evab.6240 That's bullshit. Lots of kids and people in general hate breakfast because the wants to fast intuitively...

Hey thanks!
@@Highintensityhealth - Mike you saved my sleep with all the info you shared online about mouth taping, I had always put my perpetual exhaustion down to depression and so did the doctors!
