I eat once a day and everyone tells me how unhealthy this is. However most of these people are over weight. In my opinion, as a society we constantly over eat forcing our bodies to be in continuous digestion.

There was a video about a scientist slash product creator in Japan. He made stuff like markers n notebooks that write under water. He only eats 1 meal a day and sleeps 4 hours a day. It was incredibly interesting. His 1 meal of choice was a curry rice sorta thing he made that had stuff added to cover his vitamin mineral etc needs. Was a good watch

I accidentally lost 50 pounds by switching up to one meal a day when my work schedule changed to afternoons and nights. I was sleeping in through breakfast and would just have a cup of coffee after waking. Wouldn't be hungry so started skipping lunch and having a meal regularly around 7 p.m. in the afternoon. I'm 50 years old and holding steady at my old high school weight for the first time in my life and feel great. The only downside was having to replace my entire wardrobe with clothes that fit. Came to that conclusion when I was standing in line at the grocery store and my old shorts fell down around my ankles in front of everyone and I said, "Screw this, we're going shopping for new clothes."

I hardly went out or exercised and in the evening would sit alone watching TV eatting crips and ice cream biscuits just junk. Not ever night but most nights. Anyway I new I'd gained weight 🤪 but was denying it untill I stepped on my scales.omg I was shocked. I'm 5ft tall and it's not got on my body , my back has been really bad . Since losing a stone in weight my back feels a lot better. My chest pains have been better also. I have Angina also. ive been fasting for a year - 20-22 hours a day, sometimes 48 hours maybe once a week. Eat a good meal most days and ensure im getting all the right nutrition,. I lost 60kg, reversed diabetes type 2, and when combined with exercise I got off anti depression pills. brain is much sharper and all my indigestion problems are long gone. Its a great way of taking care of yourself, especially when you study the cell regeneration and replacement and overall way the body works. Once you do it for a period of time, you never get hungry. The issue that I noticed with fasting is that people try to make it too scientific, too precise and too strict. For me it's best to keep it simple. Most days that I work out I eat 2 meals which lets me fast for about 18 or so hours. The days I don't work out I eat one meal and sometimes I don't eat. Depends how I feel. On the weekends I usually fast for 30+ hours but if I feel hungry, I'll eat. It's that simple. Yes, sometimes I decide to fast for a certain period of time, but it's not a religion. It doesn't have to be every day. Your bodies are designed for variety. Not just in food but in when you eat. And everyone's body is different. So, keep it simple. Eat when you're really hungry. Fast often, but not too long. And for F#### sake WORK OUT. It's amazing when you get good at it.

Just a word from experience... It's ok to do that for the first time when you have a lot of weight to lose, but you will lose muscle too, which in turn will slow your metabolism, so try to do 2 - 3 day fasts and have enough protein and do strength training so you build back muscle and stay fit and light, otherwise you could yoyo yourself back to the weight you lost

That way the first few hours your distracted, and then hopefully sleeping. The hardest part is the first 36 hours. Don’t go into the Lunchroom at work. Stay away from others while they’re eating. Watch a quick YT video for motivation. I’ve fasted during work many times, you will be fine. In fact, I believe I loose more weight during fast because I am active. Get good quality electrolyte drops and add to water to avoid arrhythmias or palpitations due to withdrawal. True. I find it funny that people's first thought during epidemics or snow storms etc is quick! stock up on food. You can go quite awhile without food. There is so much food in America. I find most people don't care about neighbors and others like they use to. But boy if they think someone might not have food they will contribute even to complete strangers. As if food is the most important thing. Especially a bunch of processed unhealthy food.

❤💚 Its amazing how fast the body gets used to fasting. Over the past 2 years I've done up to 5 day water and dry fasts. But lately for the past 9 months I fast once a week for 36 hours and I also don't eat between 6 pm and 6am every night. It was not intentional. It just became part of my routine. My body said after 6 no need for food. Often even at 4pm my body says enough; done!
Affect: major weight loss, self-esteem, confidence, self control, and self discipline. 💚❤

I did read something years ago that said if you were trying to lose weight not to eat anything after 6pm. So it makes sense to me. I don't understand anyone on a diet that eats a meal after 6pm it just doent work for me. I think everthing in moderation. I also think fastening is good for your will power and self control. I did put weight on during lockdown just from eating junk in the evening. I'm not normally like that. So did a fast for about a week. Also work out at home. List 11bls so far. It's been 3 weeks , im gonna do another fast to give me another kick start. As the weight lose has slowed down. I'm not hungry for junk food at all but that week I did the fast omg the first few days I was craving those junk foods in the evening. I just don't want them anymore and before I started that 1st fast I stopped having them in the house. I don't even miss that crap now. If your wanting to lose weight exercise is key with fastening

So you’re basically fasting too for at least 14 hours if your breakfast is at 7 AM I assume… which is good.
“Break-Fast” could be in the morning, at noon or even at night for some people. Fasting is not defined by skipping the morning meal we call breakfast.. it’s about not eating for at least14-16 hours. It doesn’t really matter when someone breaks the fast.

The side effects of this is false hunger, dizzyness, headache etc. You should not stop here and start eating. Once you eat the cleansing process will stop.

He tapes his mouth closed every night!! I never heard of it (or him) but stumbled across a community post of some random guy with a band-aid over his mouth saying "if you run out of mouth tape use this!" ..I was thinking "what the heck is this guy up to???" so watched the video he had linked, and he was talking about taping your mouth closed while you sleep and said you'll sleep much better. I've been exhausted for YEARS even though I sleep 7-9 hours a night so I was like "okay I'm going to try it". I bought regular dressing strip (like the fabric band-aids that you cut to size yourself) from the store, and started taping my mouth closed when I go to bed. And OMG I am actually waking up every morning before my alarm goes off, ready to get out of bed!!! Before that, I'd hit snooze like 4 times and it would be a huge struggle to drag myself out of bed every morning and I'd be tired ALL day. I always felt like I wasn't getting enough sleep, my body felt heavy and lethargic, I would have to take naps just to make it through the day, and I'd would be EXHAUSTED again when I woke up after an 8 hour sleep :o Now I am waking up literally energised and feeling like I had a full nights sleep, and can get out of bed immediately without a struggle or anything. I've never experienced that before, even when I was a kid! This is some crazy secret that everyone should be doing I think - it's insane!! So anyway that's how I found Mike, and yeah he sleeps so well because him and his partner both tape their mouths closed when they go to bed each night ^_^

When I run out of food for the week, I go without food for at least a day and just water fast or don't drink or eat anything. We got to stop being a slave to our hunger spells. I actually can't stand eating now and it's mostly optional for me. I can actually go an entire day easily having just one meal now, eggs and veggies and a piece of fruit at the most. I reset my body to be like it was when I was young and it took to do extended fast for a while

@@MOREHOUSE80 0) If you are not healthy, talk to your doctor at first 1) buy blood glucose monitor to find out which food raises your Blood sugar. Pick one with ketones monitoring too, you will want that later. Dont use urine measurement, because amount of things in urine is buffered by many things, your kidneys are not loosing stuff to urine constantly the same. Blood measurement is only precise enough.
      2) Get rid of anything which would raise your blood glucose to keep it steady (just controlled by your endocrine system from morning till night)
Allow yourself to eat as much of greeny veggies as you want + dont be hard on yourself with fat in meat and other animal fat. Dont overdo too. If you are vegan, suit yourself by other sources, its not strict for meat eaters, but clean meat is healtier than vegan simply because of more complete aminoacids, minerals and vitamins in it.
      - After about 2 weeks, you will have no more cravings, because you will be satiated by enough of protein and fat and you will have everything your body needs from meat + veggies. You will literally have more from one meal, than most people have from all the day of eating, because their food contains nothing good for body. Your blood glucose will now be normalized without any excess and your basal insulin will be lower than before, you just made big step back on the road from type 2 diabetes (a good thing).
If you are eating carbs all your life as all the others , you should still have cravings for things like bread, croisants, etc for 1-2 months, but you now feel so many benefits, you will have big motivation to ignore that. You will now literally have radar for carbs contents in store, it will feel like thermovision. And you will go for no carb of course.
This is because your liver glycogen is already burned out and your body is already adapting from the energy from fat - producing ketones by fat burning and your cells' mitochondria (machinery for energy in all cells) is changing their machinery to create ATP (energy) from ketones. You can feel tired for about a week or two because of that, that's ok, you will adapt and feel more energetic than ever because of steady glucose levels.
I am not friend of exogenous ketones or anything else, because that way you are changing your body natural processes from outside which logically has to create inbalance.
Dont be afraid about your glucose requirement (carbs), your liver will create all glucose required by "Neo Gluco genesis", you will see on your blood glucose monitor you will have much lower blood glucose, but thats enough in presence of ketones.
Since you are now satiated by your animal fat / eggs / veggies, you naturally will go for one meal a day and your body will have MUCH more from that food than from 3 crappy meals and as extra you will have more autophagy, more digestive tract rest + more and more benefits, so you will feel amazing.
Since your blood glucose will get normalized and you will no longer have any hunger (you will literally have unfair advantage against the others, because you can now pick your own time to eat even if it should be at evening after work) you can start to not to eat at all and it will be absolutely painless.
Just dont eat your food and dont think about for how long, just say to yourself, ill eat once ill want. And you will find, you are 30 hours on water feeling amazing like a charm. Short hunger sensations are common in beginners. Dont do any hardcore trainings at fast if i can recommend. You should not hurt yourself, but its much better to have walks and easier cardio to support cleaning your organism by supporting blood flow. Your body will start to clean a lot of debris and this will help.
      !IMPORTANT!
!!! If you eat any drugs, talk with your doctor at first, all drugs effects are multiplying about 10x at fast, BEWARE!!!
If you go for more than 3 days, dont start to eat just like that, try broth, fruit + vegg juices and go slowly. Your digestion will be off and if you would put meat to your system, you could brake fast benefits totally, or even worse.
If you will be more than 7 days without food, you should be eating such things like juices etc for the same long time as you was fasting, its very important, you can put yourself even to hospital by "refeeding syndrome". If you are fasting like 3-4 days, this is not an issue, because your digestion was not switch off so much.
Dont forget that by longer fast, your microbiome will be gone and restarted by refeeding after fast so support it by fermented things like kefir milk and sauerkraut. Pick as clean food as you can, after fast, your body is absorbing much more of that!
From what i red in book from doctor which is using fasting to cure people you should never go over 25% of weight lost during one fast, that irreversible changes in body could happen from what she wrote, but if you think about that, 25% of weight in one fast is so hardcore, you would probably not go so long anyway.
During fasting just on water for 6-8 days, you can experience "acidosis crysis", this is not problem, but it can be unpleasant, it will be at most 24 hours and will get away again.
You can also feel pain in parts where your body is healing. You can find you had infection you knew nothing about by that.
It will stop usually in hours and will be healed completely if the fast will be long enough for it. If not, infection can return after fast, because source of it was not completely healed up.
If you are fasting NEVER eat anything to ease it if you have cravings!! Either continue, or quit by slow refeed as i wrote, but not do it partially. That way, your body never switch into endogenous nutrition from fats completely and this can lead into malnutrition!!
If you will be fasted completely, your body will start to use your fat stores for anything what needs. If you have less than 10% body fat, dont fast without talk to your doctor.
You will never ever see/hear anything which could say fasting can be beneficial in mainstream, because there is not even theoretical chance to monetize it. Fasting is not to give anything to anybody, fasting is to stop to give something. Its free for all of us forever and there is not even theoretical chance to take it from people.
From what i've heard in this podcast: th-cam.com/video/yaWVflQolmM/w-d-xo.html, pharma companies are trying to research cure with the same effects as fasting now to be able to sell it.
