I got Hiboy S2 pro last month, and it's absolutely amazing, good speed, good range, i also like the regenerative brake. No need to worry about getting flat tire and it has a suspension at the back.
I was looking at the Gotrax, but right now, the S2 is $120 cheaper. Plus, they were out of the G4 a week or two ago. I'm pretty happy with the S2. The G4 doesn't seem like it's $120 better.
I was looking at that but changed my mind and got the hiBoy Max Pro which I am happy with. Theres a lot of people on the Scooter subreddit that bash hiBoy but coincidentally none of them have ever used one, people that do have them like them a lot and say the customer service is worlds away better than Gotrax. I took my Max Pro for a ride earlier on sport mode (top speed 22mph) which accelerate quickly and after 5 miles I still had all 5 bars of battery.
I've had the G4 for 3 years and gone about 400 miles. The battery has significantly degraded. I can't even make it to work and back without dying (4 miles round trip)
@@sreechandan7152 I like it, it's a nice beginner scooter. But I already purchased a different one. A faster two motor scooter that I can commute in traffic better with and gets up hills much better.
I like it, I have not had any issues with it. However, when I did more research after I bought it it seems some people had some instances with the stem breaking, which is pretty dangerous. I've not heard of that issue with the Gotrax. The electric scooter forums on Reddit have some good information.
I have 2 of the Gotrax and no regrets yet. I mean they just work and are fun to ride. No drama and they now come with an upgraded 500 watt motor vs the original 350 watt. On sale too for $499.00
@@Karstio If you're even remotely worried always get solids, especially if you want low maintainace and a worry free ride. They are great, especially if you don't pretend you're made out of glass!
I had the G4 for my son it wasn't really a user-friendly and I don't feel it was built as well as the one I own after a while it just stopped going and I had to return it it was really fast and rode nice but it fell unstable as far as build quality
My S2Pro is very reliable. You can put a seat on it. Solid tires are very useful on the road without getting a flat. Its not too heavy carrying on to a train or car.
Are you or anyone reading this comment have issues with battery life on S2? It's advertised at 17 mile range but Im not getting anywhere near that. Honestly I feel like I am getting 3-5 miles maybe. After using it for maybe a mile or 2 the battery indicator goes down to half way. Does turning it on and off often maybe cause a battery drain? I had them ship me a new battery and still the same thing.
Hiboy S2? Well it depends on your weight, the speed you are using and the road. If there are a lot little hill and you have a bigger weight, the range will be small, because Hiboy S2 is not Hiboy S2 pro, S2 has 350w motor. Also If you want long range, don't ride with sports mode.
I tried it out today, riding for 53 minutes all the way from home, including some uphill sections. t managed to get me across, and when I was close to my neighborhood streets, I had 2 bars of battery life left and was going 13 mph instead of the full 19 mph. However, it still took me pretty far. The funny thing is that I was goofing around with the scooter a bit beforehand, not too much, just about 3 minutes or so. Despite the road conditions, it still got me home pretty nicely. However, I do need to remember not to speed up the scooter and then quickly use the brakes, as this wastes the scooter's power. Instead, I should let the wheels take their course when approaching closer corners and turning sides of the streets. Overall, it's amazing. I just hope that with frequent use, it will prove to be durable and last at least 6 months to a year Before changing Parts. This is far better than spending $2 every single day on the bus.
this is technecally a 300$ Vs 550$ Don't forget about the more you Pay, the more Tax you have to pay as well, so 300$ easily wins for Everyone Edit: Actually nevermind, with the 60% off Deal on the Current website, its 350$ for the G4 Scooter, but yet again, Tax exist, so its either pay less or pay more for the scooter, but i still recommend the 300$ Hiboy S2 since it still manage to make me work to home pretty good, Just make sure to fully charge it, i even have 2 bars left when i got home lol
I own 4 scooters including the S2 Pro. If you have kids (or adults) who never rode a scooter before it’s a great choice. The App controls acceleration and top speed from 2-20mph. Lets those unfamiliar gain confidence and get up and running quickly.

GOTRAX G4 all the way!
🛴 agree
Heck nah we an't gonna pay 550 dollar scooter with tax of the total of 570 to 600 if we could've got the other scooter for 300 with tax of 320 to 330$

Just got the Gotrax Eclipse Ultra! Best Scooter ever. I also bought the $89 seat that you can clip on and make it a seated scooter anytime I like :)

I just got my G4 today and absolutely love it! Definitely considered the S2 Pro but got a great deal on a new scooter.
I ended up getting the Hiboy S2 Pro. It was $70 cheaper than anywhere that I could find a Gotrax.
