As a reminder. My car has 2 resettable mileage counters. I reset 1 every fillup and the other every time I empty catch can.helps keep track

Still waiting to see info on the 1.5 in the 24 Civic to see if there will be a problem. I have only managed to put 3,000 miles on the car so far.

Can you do a video on the installation of oil catch can on a 2023 Honda Pilot. Thank you

Unfortunately we don't make an oil separator for the Honda Pilot at this time.

does this help with the oil dilution problem?

It will help with whatever fuel/contaminants are going through the PCV system, but a quick google search of the Honda oil dilution problem suggests the fuel is making its way into the oil past cylinder walls not through the PCV system.

No, the oil dilution problem is from gasoline getting past the piston rings and down into the crank case. It's a problem on all gasoline engines but it's just worse on these engines because of the direct fuel injection coupled with the piston rings not being as highly compressed going into the cylinders as on some other engines using GDI. This was done to keep ring to cylinder friction forces lower and keep fuel economy high. Other manufacturers have had similar problems. The oil dilution is also more prevalent in places with cold weather and with drivers doing a lot of ahort trips. The cold cylinders allow some of the gasoline injected to condense on the cylinder walls rather than evaporate and then the liquid gasoline makes it past the rings to dilute the oil. The only thingS you can really do is change the oil often to keep the amount of dilution low to protect the engine from wear AND use a full synthetic oil rated as ILSAC GF-6A. Apparently, oils with that rating are designed to still provide decent lubricity with some gasoline dilution.

Hi there, we just go a 2019 1.5L CR-V, will this add-on affect smog testing in the future? What is the main benefit of this oil separator?

It is our understanding that they will not affect smog testing. However, we are unable to ship to California due to CARB restrictions. Check out this video for an in depth explanation on the benefits of an oil separator: th-cam.com/video/nTpUjiCsPK8/w-d-xo.html

Catch cans help reduce oil burn from blowby vapors and coating intake and valves. As a byproduct the lessened oil going to intake causes the car to not have to richen the mixture. I've noticed about 1mpg improvement in the past.

    Why are doing this crv

Any and all vehicles that have a PCV system can benefit from an oil separator. The CRV is just one of our 100+ applications.
