Hope is definitely a trooper climbing that fire tower and sleeping on top of the rig when she is cold and has a fear of heights. Hope you appreciate the level that she goes to support your interests.
I know a lot of Matt's videos are for the fun and entertainment of his viewers, but I think its pretty cool that we are also getting to tag along while some really awesome memories between Hope and Matt get immortalized on video. Its always fun for us to watch the content, but I think it's even cooler knowing you guys will have these memories forever, and that some day you'll be able to look back at these moments.
My brother and I spent the night in one of the fire lookout stations in northern British Columbia during a lunar eclipse in the 80s. It is an experience I will never forget. Thanks for the video.

That Jeep FC is a perfect candidate for a Palomino Backpack camper, would be more comfortable than a roof top tent and has all the amenities. Great vid guys!

If my 49 willys wasn’t shortened when I got it, it would definitely have been an over lander.... but with a 5 foot bed there’s not much room for even a tent topper so back to the drawing board on that one.
This is a great episode. You two make a hilarious team. You need some zippered flaps on the tarp so you can unzip a section and create an opening for access. I think just an inverted semicircle shape would work. That way it can be one continuous zipper, and when unzipped it will hang open.

@@bleepinjeep not really, we had a jeep trail that ran behind Parksville Lake but the state thought we were having too much fun.... it’s mostly gravel roads and forms the Ga Traverse. If I had known y’all were going to be in the area, I’d suggested to go to Tellico and rode Conasauga Falls trail. It’s not hardcore but the water crossings are worth it. Aetna Mtn, Prentice Cooper, Big Fork (3 great places in Chattanooga), then of course your back yard of Windrock, and Beasley Knob in Ga are all we got left around here. I mean there’s some tiny spots but not worth a planned trip. After Tellico closed, I sold my poison spyder armored TJ and built an ARB armored LJ to tour with.
You need to look at buying a diesal heater . You could set it up in the back of the truck snd and run the pipe into the tent. Only about $150.00 lots of the reveiws on youtube.
I’ve been thinking of going to the GA traverse myself. Pretty sure the tower is a US forestry department fire tower. To look for smoke and locate fires

Now I want to put an OEM back, but I don't have the "sector shaft plate"...Do you know where I can get one from...I own a 2003 TJ sport. Mahalo "Thanks" from Hawaii
I have a Pinzgauer and driving over speed bumps Still messed me up because you go over them with your body and then the tire gets it so then you go higher than the height of the speed bump
Canvas top has so many issues. It needs to be completely redone by whoever wins it. But that is so minor compared to everything that is amazing about the build

Your wife is funny, you should have on the channel more often. My wife how ever would have stayed at the store and called someone for a ride home and told me to go ahead. She won't go camping unless we brought a fithwheel so she could sleep in a bed.

You’re in my neck of woods. I’m constantly in the Cohutta Wilderness when not at work. Murray’s Lake is a tight spot.
