Been waiting nearly 10 years for a quality 23mm for Sony APS-C. Glad it's finally here and looks good, just wish it was a bit smaller. A COMPACT quality 23mm F2 would be amazing and would be a huge seller because of the compact size.

Well that is exactly related with what I was asking in reddit some weeks ago, because if Canon can make the pancake 22mm 2.0 for aps-c, Sony and Sigma should be able to also do it. The a6xxx line screams for something like that for street photography!

A bit too heavy for me too. The 20mm f2.8 pancake would make me ignore a 23mm f2. A ~250g 23mm f1.7 would be the sweet spot for me.
Might stick with my current trio: the 20mm, 18-50 f2.8 (which stopped me getting the 30 f1.4), plus the 56mm f1.4. I do love 23mm though, so may get this one day.

After finally letting go of my snob desires to have aperture rings, I think going back to my earlier decision of moving to Fuji from Canon in 2018, I'm going to consider getting the Sigma 1.4 family. Along with the f/2 Fuji lenses(used), the overall weight is fantastically lower not just in gms but also in dollars. The only Viltrox lenses I'll consider having are the 13mm and the 75mm. For photography, the Sigma series is a back, shoulder and wrist savior during events.

I have the Viltrox 13mm F1.4 on my XT4. It's great, but heavy and very wide (which is what I wanted for some specific use cases). I think this Sigma is probably going to be my all day every day lens though, it looks amazing. They just need to hurry up and release it.
