Hey man thanks for this, you really got some great shots. I just grabbed a 91 cameo and so far you’ve had content on pretty much everything I’ve needed.
FYI,iam a parts changer, not a certified professional mechanic, and not a lot of money, can i spray some kind of cleaner into the holes in the intake to clean the inside of the holes,in your video, yours looked carboned up, could that restrict air flow ,?
My concern would be where does anything that breaks loose go? If it just goes out the exhaust then it's probably a good idea. Yeah mine looked pretty black!
@@HardCoreGarage thankyou for responding,i appreciate the advice and the video, it's difficult to find someone that knows how to correctly work on these older engines, and videos of how to do anything to the early first gen S10s/Sonoma Z code engine is difficult,ok then, you the man to be watching, iam 66 years old and i like those square body trunks, mine is in purty good shape, just tired l.o.l,ok then,i will be watching,i wish you a good night.
I just found your channel and this video,i have that same exact Z code engine in a 1993 GMC Sonoma SLE MODEL with a automatic transmission, I've got terrible idle and fuel MPG and this is the only thing that hasn't been changed, so according to your video,if iam changing the EGR i should also change the EGR solenoid - Yes ?
@@HardCoreGarage TPS, nope, but i will, just as soon as i figure out what a TPS is, what i mainly know how to do is, spark plug cap, rotary button, spark plug wires, spark plugs with proper gap, simple things, back when i was working i pretty much paid someone else to do most the auto mechanics stuff, now i can't work, heart surgery and stroke, money is tight, so if i can learn to do something,i do it myself, it's enjoyment to me now,i just wish i knew more, but i can learn from men like you putting out these informative videos, thanks again.
@@HardCoreGarage I'm finding out that there ain't hardly any videos of people working on Chevrolet S10s/ Sonomas with Z code 4.3 engine from 1993 and older, lots of videos on 1994 and newer W code 4.3 engine and newer, that's how and why in searching i found your channel.
Hmm funny thing my 4.3 is giving me some issues too or some acting up and I'll say every 4.3 I've had does that cold start high idle and then come down or even when it's hot it would kinda do it Also I gotta say damn that 4.3 hauls ass hard and gets a tire from 1st to 2nd like my 93 did . My blazer won't get up and go hard or run as good like that so i know something is up with it
As always loved it good view of those bolts I thought. Getting to them is another story 👍👍👍
Thanks man! Appreciate you!

Also I believe my 90 4.3 which is a Z code as well has same setup to get the EGR Valve removed
This one has about everything you could do to a 4.3 in the early 90s. Cam, chip, etc
What's your timing set at?
I have no idea. My mechanic checked it all out.
😂😂😂 Hit it with the hammer!!!😂
It almost always works! Haahha
