Thierry Mugler is yet to disappoint me with all of the fragrances I've smelled of his. They are all so unique in every aspect. Bottle, scent, you got it, EVERYTHING! Womanity is simply magnificent. I really get the salty caviar, which at first when I smelled it I thought it might have been popcorn. Anyways, it's savoury, yet sweet and I absolutely adore the Thierry Mugler fragrances. His Womanity bottle is his best to date. Well done Thierry! Great review also Katie! Fantastic work.
The juice in your bottle will be the same as the stuff everywhere else - it's just that you're keying into different aspects of the fragrance than I am. We all have different references for smells, and I think the more familiar ones tend to leap out at us.
When I first sprayed this it smelled like the woods after it rained, mixed with smoke. I liked that....then came a light saltiness..and alas came a creamy sweetness of grass and flowers and fruit. I love this perfume, and get a lot of compliments!
Even though there is no way on the planet earth I could see myself wearing it, but I praise it for the creativity and it's originality. This is truly "different" and everybody should try once!
This is my signature scent! I love it! My girlfriends love to get ready at my house and steal a spritz ...or 5! I can't get enough of it and neither can anyone else who smells it! If you aren't wearing this...you're missing out. It's a head turner!
i don't get any celery or bell peppers. On me it smells, clean and crisp and slightly sweet. I feel like a pretty lady when i'm wearing this. It's simply divine.
The bottle is simply gorgeous. The smell however, on paper, smells kind of like slightly burnt popcorn to me. I kind of like it! I talked to you about my love-hate relationship with Angel before, but now I completely and utterly love it. It's so nice to me on my skin! (Angel)! However, in one perfume store the girl refused to spray Womanity for me as she dislikes it so much. Great video!
@KatiePuckrikSmells Thank you very much. That makes good sense. I am new to the fragrance world, but now that I've entered, I can not imagine my life without perfume. Your reviews are the best that I've seen.
@HelenaNV Not to be an enabler (okay, so I'm an enabler!), but I did see a little purse-sized spritzer of Womanity available at Sephora. Even better, just go in there for regular free samples of the stuff. And give your coat a hearty respray every time you pass a bottle.
@5678Aubrey Thanks for your comment! Gosh, I can't even remember my first time at a Bloomies. I think "beach" is a really apt description for Womanity, because I always associate the smell of figs with coconut, and coconut is "beachy", and the salty side of the perfume is oceanic. So I'd agree with you.
@BarrysDaughter The major dept stores that carry Mugler fragrances have sort of a "water cooler"-looking dispenser filled with Angel or in this case, Womanity, and they'll refill it for you. It's cheaper than buying a new bottle.
I just got it with out ever smelling it because it was in sale. I am someone who prefers a stronger smell as opposed to a sweet/sugar smell. I feel it is more of a woman's smell as opposed to a young girl smell. With that being said it is one of if not the strongest perfume I have ever sprayed on myself. I don't think I would wear this to work and my coworkers would be thankful. One pump is more than enough, anymore than that and you will be sorry. I do not recommend this for younger girls at all. I like it because it's different than anything else I've smelled and theiry mugler never ever disappoints. I would wear this to go out but that's about it. Definitely not my go to based on the strongness of it. The bottle is nice. I give it a C+
@KatiePuckrikSmells Ok, my friend is 21 years of age. Favorite flowers are Dahlias and Roses (Known her long enough to know this.), as far as I know I think she has Chanel No5 (Hope i spelled that right.), Romance (By Ralph something?), Jennifer Lodez Still (Has it on every time she goes church.) (And about a dozen more) and also she likes my 1 Millions By Pacco Raban (It's got a little bit of a feminine smell about it). Hope that helps and thanks for replying. :)
@KatiePuckrikSmells Thanks so much for the info. I did order from The Perfumed Court and they were amazing! I ordered a 2ml of a fragrance that is my holy grail and I ordered a 2ml of Bronze Goddess. My HG was the exact same fragrance I love...I had to check, and the Bronze Goddess was phenomonal. With your info about it only being limited release and not discontinued, I have been calling around to secure a bottle. Loving Perfumed Court and now ordering scents I didn't know existed!
@dazigg Thanks. The eyeshadow I'm wearing is my new favorite: it's a cream eyeshadow from Benefit called "Skinny Jeans" (for some odd reason). It's a deep, shimmery pewter color.
@KatiePuckrikSmells The angle star bottle was adorable. Womanity reminds me of the movie/book Metropolis. Mostly because of the woman's face, the straight lines, the metal--not so much the pink.
@MACTackleBox The Perfumed Court is a lifeline for fragrance lovers who don't have access to niche brands & hard to find perfumes. They have an amazing selection! Rei Rien is another online company that sells decants & rare fragrances. And LuckyScent has an unmatched selection of niche brands with samples for sale. But Bronze Goddess isn't discontinued -- it's a limited edition that comes out every summer. If you call around the dept stores, you might find it still in stock - check online, too.
"Angel" was my first perfume. Then I tried all kinds of perfumes until I came across "Alien". Which, I know, is quite unique and not everyone likes it, but I consider it the most feminine and sensual scent ever. I just love Thierry Mugler and I can't wait for this new perfume to arrive in Greece. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Katie :).
I just purchased this scent online. I have never even smelt it! I fell head over heels in love with the bottle!! I just purchased a set that contains the 50ml fragrance, body lotion, and a cute silver make up bag/clutch. Can't wait to try it out! : )
I went on a spritzing spree in Selfridges Birmingham yesterday. I didn't smell Womanity because I assumed it was a floral, frou frou scent. Damnit, I wish I had tried it! I like the idea of a savoury scent. I love my Isabella perfume by Isabella Rosselini which has a peppery, basil smell.
@vintageortacky Hi Mrs. Doll! Right now, you can only buy it only from the Thierry Mugler website, but it will be available from Bloomies, in August, and a couple months later from Nordstrom and Sephora. You can also score a free sample for the Mugler website.
Thierry Mugler has always been so amazing about sending samples. REAL SAMPLES- not the silly rub-on paper crap-o-la that I received. I live in the US and I was able to order it, (that was a couple of months ago. Perhaps it has changed). Even without a real spray sample, I tested Womanity and I find it interesting for about 5 minutes. After that, it turns very boring and on my skin, unpleasant. It lingers on the skin for a long while. That would be fantastic if it actually smelled nice.
I love this fragrance! Of course, I love all of TM's fragrances - having said that, this particular one screams 'summer' to me. Salty, beach-y, surf-y....I find myself pulling this out of hibernation every May!
so.....got my 'sample' in the post. Can totally see where you get the celery element now I've had a whiff. Still not sure though, but I do so want the bottle. Sad old me.
Hi Katie, I just received Womanity today. It's GORGEOUS!! The scent is not what I was expecting at all. I read so many negative reviews that I had my doubts about it! Womanity is certainly not a perfume for the faint hearted. It's like Marmite, you either love it or hate it! I LOVE IT!!!
I love the mermaid comment, it is so true ,it smells like sweet salted seaweed!!! which I love and eat! but if I were to buy it, I'd buy the new updated version
I really liked this fragrance at first and tried to stretch out my sample as long as I could. I came very close to buying a bottle. However, I was no longer thrilled when I opened the drawer in which I kept perfume samples at the time, and the jammy fig and sweat aroma of Womanity had permeated the entire drawer. The salty sweetness seemed to lose its appeal out of nowhere. I do love the bottle though. Very edgy and industrial, with a bondage element thrown in there, like you said.
Hi Katie! I saw this perfume on the "Women's Scents That Men Can Wear" section of your wonderful Fume Finder. I totally agree. Men can pull this off. The initial spritz IS rather salty. It stays on this weird savory note for the first few minutes but gets sweeter later on. And the bottle is gorgeously Sci-Fi! It looks and smells more alien than Mugler's Alien...
Just got the little babybottle (10ml refillable, similar to the big one but without the sm cap) because I wasn't sure about this one... I'm still doubting. But to me it smells like swimming in the sea and lying on the beach. It's just so different... It's very, very strong. Just one little spray lasts over 10hours on me... Great review, again. And what is your favorite TM perfume?
Love the bottle. I'm a big fan of Angel but Alien is yuck. I will check this out when available. Unfortunately the sample is not available online as yet - at least in Canada.
I couldn't agree with you more this was another amazing review. For me I got a Coffee note and then that celery and then it finally dries down to an almost generic fruity fig floral. But, this fragrance really blew me away with how it smelled so different yet in the end Mugler gave you what you asked for or rather what you expected from a pink juice fragrance. The bottle is stunning.I think this is very popuar with the young crowd the testers are all empty.
Mugler fragrances are genius; so much more original than any other 'mainstream' brand out there. Angel still terrifies me beyond belief, but I do admire the brand! Definitely smelling this next time I'm at Sephora. Celery perfume? Sounds great to me!
the bottle looks fantastic. but i don't think this fume is for me, after the first spray i wanted to get it off because the first salty notes didn't appeal to me, but i like the dry down, although it may not be as let's say unique as the opening. great review :)
I don't get celery. I get Italian truffles with a hint of fart. Then it turned into a "suntan lotion day at the beach" smell. It sort of stayed savory the rest of the way. It reminds me of a coconuty Organza from way back in the day. If I bathe freshly then apply Womanity it stays watery. It's not the best but it certainly is a salty fragrance. It is a weird perfume.
I love fig! The wild fig and cassis by JM is one of my faves. It is not an every day fave but one I have to be in the mood for. I have a feeling this one might be added to my pack!
As usual, love the vid. :) Thank you for all the work you do for us "Fume-Heads"! Your reviews have both saved me a lot of money and caused me to spend a lot of money. ;^) I have a question..have you ever used an on-line store called The Perfumed Court? They sell decants of perfume. Many are discontinued. Including Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess. Before I lay down about $5 for 1ml...what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Dear Katie, Do you have any favorite (besides your Black Phoenix "comfort" oil, and Gypsy Water in the bath) bath oils, soaps, or shower gels that you'd like to share with us? Wondering what your favorite products are for cleansing and preparing the body's canvas for all the wonderful scents to follow, and whether you use different cleansers depending on what perfume you will be wearing that day or night. Thank you. Tara
Woohoo! I'm so glad I found your videos... You are so knowledgeable and funny!!! I was able to smell Womanity when I was in NYC for college visits (my first time in a Bloomingdales!) haha and i fell in love with it! I couldn't stop smelling my wrist and i still have the little tester strip... it reminds me of the beach! I'm just sad this fragrance won't be making it into Sephora until October.
Hey Katie I need to ask what would be better for one of my girl-friends? (A friend who is a girl) Womanity or Vera Wang Flower Princess? (Don't think you have done a review about this!) It's not a special occasion, I just think she deservies it. (I'm also getting some flowers etc...) SO I need a experts opinion, so thanks. (Is Womanity availabe in the UK?)
But you could always rub some of the MO hair oil into your skin for the scent. It's just argan oil and perfume, I don't see why that wouldn't just smell great -- and be moisturizing on your legs and arms...
@FM897 Sometimes I like a perfume well enough in passing, or smelling them for a hour or two on a friend, but I don't love it enough to smell it myself all day long. It sounds like you reached your limit with Womanity.
hey the theme song's back :D I think the smell of celery goes with the smell of tomatoes (not the flesh...the powdery, yet muddy scent from the skin)...
Katie, this lipstick is perfect for you! Never take it off. I love the bottle. I think I will take a sniff when it eventually moseys down to my shore. Perhaps, it's called womanity, because of the fig note. Because figs are associated with a womans ... you know...
I got a sample vial of Womanity, and love the way it smells on me. It starta out salty, then you can really smell the strawberry and fig sweetness. It lasta a lomg time on me, too.
I like the fragrance too. I had the same reaction as you did. It's a very interesting fragrance and I've never smelled anything like it. I think that they tried to embody what a woman is and what she stands for all into the fragrance and it definitely has a kick to it and it is like a woman, hear me roar. LOL!!
KT, did you do something different with your eye makeup in this video? I really like it! It makes your eyes look big and pretty. lol But really, its a good look.
Love your videos. Been lurking for a while but subscribed so I can enter your summer giveaway (fingers crossed). You're so funny and love your eyeshadow.
@KatiePuckrikSmells It is love, but I don't think I'm getting the bottle any time soon, I'm only 16 and it is somewhat expensive... xD But I can live off the scent it left on my coat, it does stay on FOREVER.
I adore how different it is, and on paper it sounds like a fragrance I must own. However, when I sprayed some on me, my initial reaction was "man, of all the perfumes not to use tester strips!". Once the first punch died off, it was quite a nice smell. Shame I can't stomach that initial spray and wait for it to settle.
not sure about this ive got a sample but im not loving the smell from the bottle! i love angel innocent and innocent rocks which is difficult to get a hold of now ; (
Great reviews. I honestly love everything that comes out of the Mugler house. Thierry Mugler fragrances is the only fragrance house I blind buy. I hope you do a review on Marc Jacobs BANG.
@KatiePuckrikSmells wow those words where inspiring haha, actually just after watching this i went and tried it on on me, definitely girly but there is something to it i quite enjoyed, my mom and my brother aid it smells kinda manly on me after the drydown and now that pink juice is sitting proudly on my counter with my other fragrances, i actually have it on right now and i like it even more then before, so i´m actuallly going to test this on school on moday and let you know how it went :)
I had no idea what to think of when I first heard of this fragrance due to it's description of having a caviar accord. But it sounds like it's definitely something original and different from everything else out on the market. I haven't tried this, but the bottle is something else as well. It reminds me of the alien in Species lol
I really wanted to like this one but sadly it's a case of me loving the bottle more than the actual perfume itself. Of course tastes in scents are relative (like taste in anything really) but Womanity really tested my gag reflex. The only other perfume that has done that to me is Lanvin's Arpege. Not sure what that says about my nose but sadly like most of the commenters this one was really hard for me to stomach...
Womanity smells very much like coming home after a day on the beach with the ocean air still on your skin. There is a very green fig leaf note, that dries down but does not go powdery. It's faintly sweet, but more of a fresh floral, and very feminine.
@Bluefairy0173 If I go too crazy trying too many fragrances at once, I will start to feel a bit ill. Fresh air (or at least, unperfumed air) is the cure. I try not to overdo it.
That's a good slogan! "If mermaids had a smell, they would smell like Womanity."
Lady Gaga's Favorite Perfume!
I love this, even though it smells a bit like peppers at first contact. But when it wears off a bit, it's GORGEOUS.
I adore Womanity
I like that you're starting to show the bottle up close at the end.
i don't get any celery or bell peppers.
That is one fantastic looking bottle. Thierry Mugler's always pretty good for it's interesting bottles and packaging.
This is my all-time-favorite fragrance! Unique smell. Nothing can compare to this parfume.
Favorite flowers are Dahlias and Roses (Known her long enough to know this.), as far as I know I think she has Chanel No5 (Hope i spelled that right.), Romance (By Ralph something?), Jennifer Lodez Still (Has it on every time she goes church.) @KatiePuckrikSmells Thanks so much for the info. I did order from The Perfumed Court and they were amazing! I ordered a 2ml of a fragrance that is my holy grail and I ordered a 2ml of Bronze Goddess.
I smelled it in the store and it's fucking amazing and there's definitely a "WOW" factor.
would advise me to get this for the summer/spring ?
@KatiePuckrikSmells The angle star bottle was adorable. Womanity reminds me of the movie/book Metropolis. Mostly because of the woman's face, the straight lines, the metal--not so much the pink.
Salt, species and caviar, scent. Wonderful, modern and unisex fragance. Logically when we get a meravellous fragance, nowadays it's descontinued
@larsonwendy24 Oh, good, glad you like it. I don't always have the bottle, but when I do, I'll show it from now on.

@PoshPatootie Haha, yes, I guess Mugler are telling us we're chopped liver. I guess it's the big build up for the launch at Bloomingdales in August.
so.....got my 'sample' in the post.

@bookreviewfamily You remember correctly! I think the smell of Moroccan Oil is really similar to Miller Harris Fleur Oriental.
I wonder what you think about the reformulatef womanity,i haven't smelled yet,and i loved the original ✨
Very edgy and industrial, with a bondage element thrown in there, like you said.
hey how about a review of Aura Mugler please
Thanks for another great review Katie!! I'd really like to try womanity.
I like the new style of your videos. It looks more natural than before and you have a great personality :)
And what is your favorite TM perfume?
well the bottle and dress look great together
Love the bottle. I'm a big fan of Angel but Alien is yuck. I will check this out when available. Unfortunately the sample is not available online as yet - at least in Canada.
Ooops, turns out the free samp is not available to US/Canada, sadly.
The bottle is stunning.I think this is very popuar with the young crowd the testers are all empty.

the bottle looks fantastic. but i don't think this fume is for me, after the first spray i wanted to get it off because the first salty notes didn't appeal to me, but i like the dry down, although it may not be as let's say unique as the opening. great review :)
@AnneLien1987 Thanks for your comment! I like Mugler's Cologne and Angel Innocent.
@KatiePuckrikSmells It sure is I am very happy its so popular I need to get this.
I'm in love of this one.
I got reppelled when you mentioned fart. I hate fart fumes
I love fig! The wild fig and cassis by JM is one of my faves. It is not an every day fave but one I have to be in the mood for. I have a feeling this one might be added to my pack!
I can't find the comment, but I swear I saw that you liked the smell of Moroccan Oil hair products. I also love that smell. So...What perfume matches?
To me, Womanity smells like a caviar with a hint of something sweet. I was hoping to like it but it did not work for me, I love Alien though
I think it must be different on everyone’s skin because I’m getting orange peels, maybe some saltiness and the fig
an older scent called Gendarme, is a mens fragrance that a lot of women wear too.
As usual, love the vid. :) Thank you for all the work you do for us "Fume-Heads"! Your reviews have both saved me a lot of money and caused me to spend a lot of money. ;^) I have a question..have you ever used an on-line store called The Perfumed Court? @lilacfunk Ahhhh! Thanks for spelling that out for me!
@themaine132 Thanks! I believe Womanity will be at Sephora around November. I'm going to do a giveaway soon, though.

Hey Katie, have you smelled "Marry me" from Lanvin? I didn't find a review on that..
It's really a super perfume!
@lacostede You are so very welcome!
@bamf696 You'll be in a good position to do a little fig comparison.
@Lyckojazz It really is quite remarkable how that stuff sticks to you!
I like the fragrance too. I had the same reaction as you did. It's a very interesting fragrance and I've never smelled anything like it. I think that they tried to embody what a woman is and what she stands for all into the fragrance and it definitely has a kick to it and it is like a woman, hear me roar. LOL!!
KATIE! That bottle looks so ornate, original and chic. Your description leaves one thought in my mind; I NEED TO SMELL THIS! where is it being sold?
@lambsgirl Your Marmite comparison is a really good one, especially with Womanity's salty/savoriness. Glad to hear you've achieved perfume joy!
@KatiePuckrikSmells It is love, but I don't think I'm getting the bottle any time soon, I'm only 16 and it is somewhat expensive... xD
But I can live off the scent it left on my coat, it does stay on FOREVER.
@virtualspaniel There are plenty of reasons why we're drawn to a perfume, and it's not always the scent! The bottle is like nothing else out there....
@KatiePuckrikSmells wow those words where inspiring haha, actually just after watching this i went and tried it on on me, definitely girly but there is something to it i quite enjoyed, my mom and my brother aid it smells kinda manly on me after the drydown and now that pink juice is sitting proudly on my counter with my other fragrances, i actually have it on right now and i like it even more then before, so i´m actuallly going to test this on school on moday and let you know how it went :)
mm celery! sounds really nice
I had no idea what to think of when I first heard of this fragrance due to it's description of having a caviar accord. But it sounds like it's definitely something original and different from everything else out on the market.
I haven't tried this, but the bottle is something else as well. It reminds me of the alien in Species lol
@AshtenOriginals Thanks for the feedback.
@BeeAngelful I've practiced Vinyasa flow yoga for over 10 years. It definitely shapes up the arms.
Hi Katie! I love your reviews and I was wondering if you've ever smelled XS Extreme Girl by Paco Rabanne?
Womanity smells very much like coming home after a day on the beach with the ocean air still on your skin. There is a very green fig leaf note, that dries down but does not go powdery. It's faintly sweet, but more of a fresh floral, and very feminine.
@realfam1969 Haven't tried Ojon products.
You can get the Moroccan Oil line direct from their website, at Amazon, or at salons.
@brillanita You are officially a perfume thrillseeker with that combo!
Brilliant review. Kind regards.
@Bluefairy0173 If I go too crazy trying too many fragrances at once, I will start to feel a bit ill. Fresh air (or at least, unperfumed air) is the cure. I try not to overdo it.
@ohsewdizzy Yeah, that salty. But not with the almond-vanilla Play-Doh scent.
@HelenaNV Is it love? Are you getting a bottle?
@petitetouale Thank you! Glad you're liking the off-the-cuff vids.
