A lot of very valuable information that i agree with, those who are making big power on stock motors are understanding that everything has a time stamp and its known to not live forever. There are more than i can count customers out there with 500+ whp on stock longblocks ranging from 04+. The number of people pushing 600+, 700+ ect gets smaller and smaller and does rely alot on the owner and how the car is treated. Treat it like a race car, and it will break like a race car.

i got a RA EJ207 Spec C JDM STI - short block , alloy sump kit ej205 full brian crower gear = great motor smooth as ! mine was $3,500 brand new virgin block subaru import - never run or started ! only me = taken 13,000 klm to loosen up a bit ! still tight a little.
That Dark metallic grey pops out🔥💪same color than mine, waiting for my long block to be assembled (800awhp+ rated) but I'll keep it around the 600s streetable weekend ride
I made it 30k before I spun a rod bearing. I was at 400whp on E85. I kept up on oil changes and did them every 1k miles because of the E85. I ran the killer B pick up and baffle. I still have to tear it down to see what caused the oiling issue
@@Subaruwrkz just washed it , about to take it to the gym lol still pulling strong I had a misfire about 2 months ago due to a bad coil pack but I changed them already I was on the stock ones so changed that and got new spark plugs currently at 49k miles
Your good got a little more I’m at 475 on e85 I have all the supporting mods to give it it’s best chance but been good for 2 years now very minor issues
My 21 is pushing 325 whp 340 tq, no issues, starts to get real expensive to push further. To get to 350-400, I would need injectors, header, fmic and a turbo. Not super worth it to me as 325 whp is more than enough for a fun street car.
Beautiful car mate, but Subaru's are meant for 1000hp Buy a Nissan GTR 35, just a few mods and mapping gives 750. Which is fast enough, after riding in a friends GTR. Good luck with the build.
I agree I could go out and buy a r35, or an r8 even with the money I’ve spent on the sti but it’s been a dream to make this Subaru build and more of a passion project and learning experience
I've got a turn in concept 2+2 short block. JE FSR pistons and +2mm H beam rods. 1500cc injectors, aem340 pump, 19mm intake spacers, and am deciding on the turbo. What's your guys recommendation on power? I'm thinking of getting a turbo that flow 60lb/min and am deciding on either an fp green, black, bcp500+, and or something else in stock location with a fmic.
yup rod bearing clearances and ring clearances. ra block specxs range from .0007 - .0018 inch rod bearing clearance. Thats a differance of 2 1/2 times the clearance from low end of spec to high. So if you get a factory block on the low end you have 40% of the clearance for oil to feed the bearings than someone gewtting one built on the high end of the specs. Its a very wide range NO pro ej builder will ever build their engine with bearing clearances that low. Rod knock has a lot to do with rod bearing clearance from factory, ringland is from the tight ring clearance.

God damnit that is what the saying is “treat it like a race car and it’ll break like a race car” as I was filming I drew a blank😂
you experience much lag w the black turbs
?
Been rocking 482whp and 433wtq on my 2020 Sti for almost 2 years now. I do a few pulls everyday. She’s holding strong.
What's your setup 🤔
My RA STI has 73000 miles on it at 450 hp and it's going strong.

Any update? Mine spun a road with 33k. 360whp on a 20g turbo
Mine lasted for a few passes at 43psi from a 6870, making about 820whp, before blowing a rod out of the top of the block.
I’ve been on 406 whp on the stock block with the fp black turbo for 1 year ni issues hoping to push it to 420 soon
stock RA block? or just stock ej257?
@@jonathansherwood-flett816 well now I’m at 425 whp and it’s the RA block 0 issues still
We need update !

My non ra lasted 50k lol. 105k new engine. 122k e tuned with a 20g turbo and supporting mods with equal headers. 155k knock. I drive the car hard.
Damn 500hp?! Bruh I’m trying to get 350whp safely in my 21 Sti
You can definitely push it over 400 whp I’m at 425 and engine is still good
Just need the right turbo and fuel system, also go fmic. Been pushing 482whp and 433wtq for almost 2 years now. And I don’t go easy on it.

I’d recommend the bcpx500r!
What about stock non RA block ?
Buy once, cry once

Dudes got 5 headgasket rings behind him that should tell ya how reliable any ej engine is. Junk , only sounds good because of the UELH
Did you even watch the video you stupid piece of shit? Any engine will break if built improperly.
you eft out those are e85 power numbers DO NOT do thjat on pump
