Just a tip: On reveangeance difficulty, when your parries do way more damage then in other difficulties, so instead of trying to avoid hits, try to parry them.

None of this is a reference to the Matrix, actually. In fact, the Matrix referenced anime. It copied scenes almost move for move from both Fist of the North Star and Ghost in the Shell. Considering Metal Gear is a franchise in Japan, it makes much more sense that they'd be referencing famous anime, not an American movie. Especially as many anime parody Fist of the North Star. There are even compilations of those parodies on TH-cam.

I think it depends on how much damage you take, how fast you beat enemies, the BP you collect, and so on. If you do decently and don't die a lot you usually end up with a B or C. (I've gotten an A on the first fight with Ray because I can fight it in my sleep now.)
Against non-bosses it's pretty much a 1HKO mode. When fighting against bosses it just increases Raiden's attack power and (I think) speed/ recovery time.
i always loved this game, even when i was a little kid... Seeing this game actually getting what it deserves is everything for me! :) And i just realized that calamity mod has some metal gear rising: revengeance easter eggs.
one thing I need to say is that in the jetstream dlc you hear armstrongs first fight song. the one raiden gets when he fights armstrongs robot? and NOT the final fight music because its subtle foreshadowing to an inevitable conclusion that sam doesn't beat armstrong.
It happened to me too ı tried near and hour beating the boss without getting hit and ı still didn't get S rank ı got FUCKING B!!! but ı think it was because of how op my gear was (I pretty much had maxed out everything besidise fox blade and some other blades) and kinda like how in MGSV if you use the infinity bandana you can't get above A rank on a mission maybe it was because ı had my infinity wig on ( EVEN THOE I DIDN'T EVEN USED ANY OF THE WEAPONS JUST THE FUCKING BLADE)
Finally, a true badass destroying the most epic final boss fight in the entire game, not on some chump difficulty like easy or normal. No damage taken at that Kudos to you mate!

Are you on pc? If you are then ı gotta say... continue ı mean they say without controller blade mode is impossible but ı beated armstrong and sam and etc AND finished the game on mouse and keyboard without using any controller Blade mode and blocking isn't that hard at all once you get used to it (I didn't had any yes but ı still wouldn't use it because of how ım used to gaming on PC with keyboard and mouse )
Revengeance difficulty requires a minimum score of 10,000 for an S-Rank. One of the main issues with this fight is that Zandatsu and normal kills are available (Sundowner shares this, as well). This means you must get a certain number of them to help contribute to the overall score. The Excelsus fight seems to demand at least 2 Zandatsu in order to get 10,000, a quick completion, and, finally, a high combo (above 50, usually).
I am impressed by the details, same.e case as Sam's fateal battle when Armstrong got rid of your sword the guy singing is gone, when you reclaim it the guy returns, it means Sam and Raiden was concern of their sword and when they take it they were clear
Indeed; processing a million little things is way harder than one big thing, and the game only has some slowdown, and not that often. They really optimized the code in this game for it to work that well. Also, I have to say, you have an awesome username. Man, that first novel was actually so good I was saddened when it was ret-conned out of existence by the third game (and then the third game was so good it more than made up for it).

I'm 99% sure it's not a coincidence that the song ends at the exact right moment. The song gets jumped to the end when the fight is over, so it always happens. Watch other Armstrong videos and you'll see the song ending the same way every time. Also, if you listen very carefully, you can hear the song "jump" to splice in the end.
I know the boss songs always jump to endings, but this time the main song was actually close enough that it almost sounded like just a natural progression. It didn't go from "STANDING HERE" to the ending or "VIOLENCE BREEDS-" and then to the ending. I noticed the jump, but it was close enough to not be jarring.
The best part about this fight is the fact that Raiden is wearing a badass suit, and he never loses his shades.

You make it look so easy I friggin rage quit becuase of the blade mode parts and this was just on normal. Major props for this.

For all of his "hardening in response to physical trauma" he does, getting punched in the kidney rinses his health bar like soapy dishes.
To be fair, getting punched in the liver or kidneys is one of the most painful experiences ever.
I hate the damn fact that the HARDEST FREAKING PART OF THE ENTIRE BOSS is where he destroys the blade.

+ScopeXYZFTW Well Kojima never had any powers to begin with. Metal Gear is a brand owned by Konami. They can do what they want with it. They already said that even if Kojima leaves Konami for good, the brand Metal Gear will not stop. Now, I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing :-D

+メレンデスマヌエル Yes but it will be a slow change. Konami won't drop consoles right away. It will happen in 5 maybe 10 years from now. It also depends on how future consoles will do in terms of sales. (PS5 and so on). Right now Konami is fascinated by mobile market (pratically everyone now has a smartphone and producing an app is way easier and cheaper than producing a videogame for consoles). We'll see...

Are you on pc? If you are then ı gotta say... continue ı mean they say without controller blade mode is impossible but ı beated armstrong and sam and etc AND finished the game on mouse and keyboard without using any controller Blade mode and blocking isn't that hard at all once you get used to it (I didn't had any yes but ı still wouldn't use it because of how ım used to gaming on PC with keyboard and mouse )
Use ripper mode when he throw shit at you for extra slowdown

Revengeance difficulty requires a minimum score of 10,000 for an S-Rank.
One of the main issues with this fight is that Zandatsu and normal kills are available (Sundowner shares this, as well). This means you must get a certain number of them to help contribute to the overall score.
The Excelsus fight seems to demand at least 2 Zandatsu in order to get 10,000, a quick completion, and, finally, a high combo (above 50, usually).
Raiden has a knife, and never uses it after losing his Main Katana.

I am impressed by the details, same.e case as Sam's fateal battle when Armstrong got rid of your sword the guy singing is gone, when you reclaim it the guy returns, it means Sam and Raiden was concern of their sword and when they take it they were clear

After I watched this like 7 times already,I realised that at the very end of the video,Raiden is in another suit.
Indeed; processing a million little things is way harder than one big thing, and the game only has some slowdown, and not that often. They really optimized the code in this game for it to work that well.
Also, I have to say, you have an awesome username.
Man, that first novel was actually so good I was saddened when it was ret-conned out of existence by the third game (and then the third game was so good it more than made up for it).

+GeneralCane well, also every scene where he cuts through the Metal Gears (like Ray in the beginning) don't make any sense at all. His sword is like 1 meter long and still he manages to cut through an ENTIRE Metal Gear. In reality, he would only be scratching like the surface of it.

I love how the song finished at just the right part (It Has to Be This Way, not the other one).
I'm 99% sure it's not a coincidence that the song ends at the exact right moment. The song gets jumped to the end when the fight is over, so it always happens. Watch other Armstrong videos and you'll see the song ending the same way every time. Also, if you listen very carefully, you can hear the song "jump" to splice in the end.
I know the boss songs always jump to endings, but this time the main song was actually close enough that it almost sounded like just a natural progression. It didn't go from "STANDING HERE" to the ending or "VIOLENCE BREEDS-" and then to the ending.
I noticed the jump, but it was close enough to not be jarring.
