Thanks for the comment! You can use that input to power from a 12v power source like a battery. Really though, if you are using the internal battery, then you will not need to worry about this input.
What about the Sounboks, JBL Party Box or the Teufel Rockster? This is just a sellout of Vonyx - else there would be products from other brands. That's a fact. On another note - you could argue that they are more expensive yes, but what about actual sound Quality? The speakers in this video don't deliver that at all; everyone that masters and mixes himself knows that.

I’ve got a Verve 12 inch speaker. I understand the mains charge the battery, but just wandering why is there a 12v power input as well?
SO YOU CAN POWER THEM FROM A LEISURE LEAD ACID OR LIFE4PO BATTERY ;). Are they out enough? I mean at least as EV EVERSE 8s?
