But then they couldn't just count blockers and realize they could swing with everything to win 😂

Could have been a bunch of different cards in your side board. Ended up just being a 4/4 flyer for 6.
Chandelier brings me such joy for the format. The doofy-looking expensive colorless creature has often been a total blank in Limited. Phyrexian Archivist didn't matter in MOM Limited. Lumbering Laundry was useless in MKM. I can't even remember the names of some of the others in recent formats.
Now take Chandelier. It's also expensive. The "put stuff on the bottom of its owners library" effect is kind of an oddball thing that doesn't always matter. But here it is being considered in draft: "maybe my deck needs one, hope I can see it on the wheel". There it is on the board, despite its expense to get in play and face-up it's actually a meaningful body and can be an evasive beater.
Good job, Chandelier. Good job Duskmourn for being a format where Chandelier can be relevant.

Swap the location of your camera and the Ultimate Guard logo. I don't need see the buttons, but I would love to see the cards on the right side of your hand.

Entertaining as always and well played matches, really love how grindy games get and how decking can be a real concern but then other games you can still get run over on the draw if you keep a greedy hand like your last opponent did.
I love how he did not even mention that red mythic room in p1p2 :D
Yep, I played it and is insane, a slow card for sure but it can give you a lot of card advantage
Card apparently has a 49.9% GIH winrate on 17lands. Maybe it just wasn't worth mentioning lol.
@@fjordojustice Wow, that's less than I thought it'd be. The red decks can be fast but are they so fast that 4-mana "get an extra card every turn, starting next turn" is not attractive?

@@Khazuki_ It's quite low, but I wouldn't say that's particularly shocking. The card is obviously trash in limited just on it's face. When was the last time spending 4 mana to do nothing until your next turn was a good play? Honestly even if it gave you three cards immediately (rather than having to wait 3 whole turns to get that much) I think it'd be really borderline.
And don't even get me started on Warped Space's promise of "spend 6 mana now to maybe cast some spells for free later". I doubt you even get your 6 mana back before you die most of the time when you unlock this room.
Congrats on day 2, very nice lines in there. Hoping for that Karn mirror in the finals!
Despite the couple of brain farts at the end there, that last game of the second match was a masterclass. He was really close and only a few people could have gotten to that spot.
27:24 Paying 4 mana to unlock the room instead of flipping the keybearer and then unlocking the room for free and getting 6 damage in was painful to watch happen. Happens to the best of us tho.

Is there an amount of self mill/manifest that would make >40 card decks a thought? If youre getting enough playable maybe add 2 lands and 3 more cards to keep land percentages decent? I know usually the correct mantra is keep the deck as small/consistent as possible, its just a thought i had with how much self.mill is in this format.
Absolutely works to run 43-45 cards. I have several 7 win decks with doing so. I don’t have an exact number of manifest cards, but I wouldn’t be afraid to run over 40.
Damn, is Charred Foyer so bad that it's not even worth a mention in P1P2? My experience with that card has been pretty good.

Not taking land game 1 was soo greeeddy with a centipede in hand man haha. Good thing it paid off
I don’t think it would have worked out this draft, but I have liked Abzan reanimator a lot as a deck, I think it is a very powerful direction to go in when you have the black overlord

Its not your vintage cube combo reanimator; its more like surgical suite getting back your broodspinner over and over

Did you think you had a green source in your opening hand for game 1 of match 3 (36:40)? You seem to snap keep and that's a hand I would mulligan 100% of the time so I'm not sure if it was mistake or you're way greedier than me

Remember when Phyrexian Arena was a good card? Draw 1, take 1 damage every turn.
Now we get Draw 1, take 2, every turn... then draw 1, deal 2 damage, gain 2 life and make a 6/6 demon.

Pros rely in signals too much. A lot of people don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. I take signals with a grain of salt these days because I have a very low opinion of most people.
