Dude! This is a great detailed video. The amount of detail and thought you put into things is amazing! I imagine, a lot of this can be applied to cars?
Thank you, Jeremy! Absolutely, the same principles apply. Using a larger DA buffer with a 6” backing plate would be best for a car. The smaller buffer would come in handy for smaller thinner areas like A/B/C pillars and around bumpers / lights. Also, most cars have gone through touch car washes, meaning most vehicles have a lot of scratches in the clear coat. A two step paint correction would be ideal for vehicles with a lot of surface scratches, marring, and other clear coat defects. Using a cutting compound first, followed by a polishing compound to finish.
@@LeeEgan you’re totally capable dude! Just take your time and work in steps. If you get frustrated, just take a break and come back to it later. Let me know how it goes, and definitely post some photos on the 950 group page!
@@FitRob87it looks incredible! I’m tempted to by the polisher and all the stuff and do the process, but I have a guy who’s reasonable and I’m super lazy 😂
Very Nice, I should have done ppf wrap, I already have rock chips in the Carbon wheel cover and upper fender from running down Supersports in the twisties 😂
@@srt2fst man, I thought about PPF but never got it, not a bad idea. I can imagine it’s probably fairly expensive to have it done correctly. I’ve never done it before.
Beautiful work. I have been wanting to do the same since I got it too. Question... do you have any tips for making the tank plastic portion looking good again? I did some work and when I removed my tank, i got some scratches on the inner side that faces the handlebar, can really see that part since is like in between handlebar and the tabk covers but it bothers me that I have some lines of scratches there. Thanks
Chemical Guys makes really great product called VRP (Vinyl, Rubber, Plastic). It restores plastic and makes it look new again. Not sure how to fix the scratches in the plastic, but the VRP will restore the color. It doesn’t attract dust and doesn’t leave a film, really great stuff.

Awesome Video. I am following this build very closely. I am going to modify my bike with all the same parts as you. Thank you for the videos

So cool. My 25 SP has swirls everywhere from the dealer! I’m way too impatient to do this myself though. Very impressive!

I don’t really see the point in going to these extremes if you’re going to ride your bike, its a motorbike, ride it love it
