I volunteer at a similar zoo and provide that enrichment as well. Our zoo has a gorilla bachelor zoo and one likes to sneak up behind me when I’m watching TH-cam. There’s an orangutan that likes to interact with me because she knows I have colorful pictures in my bag.

You do understand that a lot of these animals are rescues correct? Some of which cannot be reintroduced to the wild
@@diehardeaglesfansince1994 Zoos are ment for greed and to save them from going extinct sure, if there gonna die depressed just let them go free. A fast happy death is better than a long depressing one.
@@diehardeaglesfansince1994 I was going to say the same. I've seen zoos take in broken animals from the pet trade and lab testing and make them close to whole again. I would've added that international breeding programs are vital to the survival of endangered species though

I guess I missed something. The gorilla didn't really seem that interested.
At first I found it annoying that the zookeeper’s reflection is almost superimposed onto the gorilla…but theres a bigger meaning here, the reflection image…human on gorilla. We’re all damn dirty apes.

Actually we are species of Apes
Now we need those animatronic babies with a animatronic woman controlled by the mother through the motion capture stuff to safely test direct interaction to see if a mother gorilla will safely interact with an actual human mother and baby knowing the situation. that way if they do lash out it's only a animatronic. 😂 Primates seem to he escalating in intelligence, wonder if one day they will be intelligent enough to be seemingly like the Planet of the Apes slowly evolving in intelligence to actually build up to at the very least basic sign language conversations, imagine in a hypothetical world you see human and gorilla/chimpanzee at a construction site xD working.
Now, with the racism we have now i imagine it may be harsher on this situation for obvious reasons lol but would someone be that stupid to actually piss off a non human primate?

Imma be honest, she was dumb for pulling her mask down as she was mostikely smiling which could've provoked the Gorilla. Just saying Gorillas are unpredictable like that
