I just went to Jeddah few days ago and stayed there for 3 days. Here are my personal feelings about Jeddah. It's BORING, hot and humid as hell! If you plan on staying and do touristy things only in the city, you will be quite disappointed like me. Yes you can check out the places mentioned in this video, but mostly you can finish seeing every single place less than an hour or two, some of them maybe few minutes like the giant fountain and flag pole. The city is not ready for tourists at all! There was no easy way to get into the city from the airport, and random people will ask you if you want “taxi” and charge you a high price. There were only 2 currency exchange places in the new and big airport!!! Only 2 and one of them was out of service! The other one ONLY accepted very new looking US dollars! There is NO decent size museum in this city either. If you are muslim you can definitely go to Makkah and Medina, however as a non-muslim, I can’t go to Makkah for sure but the round trip train ticket to Medina was like 100 USD or something. I really regretted to visit to this city.

tbh AlUla is great spot to travel to, but jeddah is not ready yet. A better experience will be if you rent a car and go on a road trip.

I couldn’t agree more more. I’m Muslim and lived there for 13 years and yes it’s BORING and the only things made it cool is my family were w me and we did picnic and horseback riding but just in the evening ( not even evening mostly night when it cool off ( humidity makes it impossible to enjoy either day or night . Our leisure was to take a flights to go either to turkeye or another destinations

@@jqluan yes it does look like a boring place and I’m gonna reconsider. I would still love to go if I get to travel to Mecca or Medina but I think there is no surety, someone I know who’s a non Muslim went to mecca/medina but I don’t know how 🤷‍♀️

@@vdm1656 my family is muslim, im legally muslim by certificate but not really one by heart. so im getting to go to Mecca. i believe it is improper but not much i can do due to compromised safety if i profess im not muslim to my parents. maybe the person you mention also was in the same boat as I am.
