Reformation 500 International Convention - Jakarta 2017

Sejak 500 tahun lalu sampai saat ini, warisan dari Reformasi tidak berhenti memberi dampak bagi kemajuan manusia dalam berbagai aspek esensial seperti theologi, sains, seni, demokrasi, etos kerja, ekonomi, dan sebagainya.
Tetapi mengapa banyak orang hanya puas dengan mengingat dan menikmati warisan Reformasi? Karena Reformasi dianggap sudah selesai dan telah menjadi monumen di dalam sejarah. Hanya mewarisi berarti cukup merasa puas dengan keadaan yang diterima dari masa lampau tetapi tidak ada beban dan perasaan hutang untuk meneruskan pekerjaan Tuhan yang Ia percayakan kepada kita.
Reformasi bukan hanya untuk diingat, tetapi untuk dihidupi.

Since 500 years ago until today, the legacy of Reformation has not ceased in making impact towards the progress of mankind in numerous essential aspects like theology, science, art, democracy, work ethic, economy and etc.
However, why are so many people content with merely reminiscing and enjoying the legacy of Reformation? This is because Reformation has been considered as over and has now become a monument in history. The act of merely inheriting means that there is contentment with the condition which has been accepted from the past, yet, not having any burden or a sense of debt to continue the work that God has trusted unto us.
Reformation is not merely to be reminisced but lived.

自500年前至今，宗教改革所传承的精髓不断为人类各重要领域的发展带来贡献，诸如神学、科学、艺术、民主、工作伦理、经济等。
但是为什么很多人仅仅是纪念、欣赏宗教改革所传承的精髓呢？因为他们认为宗教改革已经过去了，不过是一个历史事件而已。接受传承意味着对过去的成果表示满意而已，但却对此没有负担，亦不觉得亏欠于上帝所托付给我们的工作。
宗教改革不仅仅是为了纪念，乃是要活出来。
