While Buddhism is mainly talked about as a religion, it's more of a philosophy since we don't put our faith in an almighty god. As a Buddhist, I actually agree to this. Buddhism as a religion is not about rigging off sins by worshiping the god, it's more about treating other people like how you want to be treated and that is the foundation of Buddhism. It is called karma and it is a principle that I follow greatly. Buddha, to me, was a great teacher and philosopher.
In my opinion bhudism is a religion but that is upon my meaning of religion. It is true he never said to worsnhip him as god or to believe in one but to follow the path to enlightment and reached nirvana.

In fact, Mother Parvathi tried to challenge Lord Shiva that she could find new ways to meditate and accepted her defeat.
