I have spent the last 5 years trying to find a solution that would enable to run XP on my Windows 10/11 desktop!! This is, by far, the best solution that I have ever seen. Thank you!
It works really good but, why is my up and down mouse mechanics inverted? So what I'm trying to say is: when i move my mouse up, it goes down. And when i move my mouse down, it goes up. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks, it was driving me crazy. Now I see the network adapter but it still doesn't work, I can't connect and I get a new device but I think it's missing the drivers to make it work.
Thanks for that works great! I do have one issue I'm hoping you will be able to help with. I can search on Google as you did on video but as soon as I click on the site it says "cannot find server". Do you experience the same issue? Any solutions?
@@OnlineComputerTips yes followed the video 100%. I am able to connect to Google and do a search same as you did in the video but if I do a search and click a link to open the site it doesn't connect. Are you able to connect to TH-cam for example? Thanks for the reply
I think I see the problem. IE is too old and won't work with secure websites that use https but will work with non secure sites that use http. I guess the fix would be to find a way to get another browser that will install on XP and download it elsewhere and copy it over.
Is it possible to install a usb cd drive to the hardware? I have an external cd/dvd drive for my computer, and need to use it to install software. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
For some reason, sound does not work with Windows XP on Hyper-V. You can get sound if you create a VM in VirtualBox, VMware Player or VMware Workstation though. You would think the Microsoft hypervisor would work the best but I guess not!
I read that Hyper-V doesn't support sound unless its Windows 8 or above, but might if using RDP. I did find a couple of versions of the Integration Services ISOs that might give you some additional graphics options. onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21ABKU%5FS150X%2DI3GI&id=A92EE8480C15EA76%21155117&cid=A92EE8480C15EA76&parId=root&parQt=sharedby&o=OneUp onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AGLdyZ%5F1S260LOM&id=A92EE8480C15EA76%21165652&cid=A92EE8480C15EA76&parId=root&parQt=sharedby&o=OneUp
I have installed it in VMware Workstation, VMware Player and VirtualBox and they all work better than Hyper-V with sound and everything! Plus you can install VMware Tools and the VirtualBox Guest Additions as well. th-cam.com/video/ghr5ef-pxXM/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/XkvR70y63R4/w-d-xo.html

Actually, Windows XP runs better on VirtualBox or VMware Workstation (or the free VMware Player) since you can get sound when using those apps.
You good sir, have saved me A LOT of wasted time, and have saved me from throwing away old but very good study software. Thank you sooooooo much!
man, tanks this was driven me crazy you gave me al the rigth information

Legacy network adaptor. Thanks!
Legacy Update will restore the function of updates so you can update to the last updates
Top, just the thing I was looking for.

Yes you can attach or share a USB device on Hyper-V. I don't have a video, but you can search for it and find many videos and articles.
Hi, thanks for this great video. Could you also make a tutorial how to get sound running on HyperV Windows Xp?
Many thanks :)

@@OnlineComputerTips you think VMware would be a better option for a functioning XP machine?

@@OnlineComputerTips Do you have a link for the VirtualBox? I'm gonna follow along with the vid you sent
@@heisenbooger If you are referring to the ISO file then you can use the same one for any platform.
I am unable to run TH-cam on internet explorer on XP
sound doesn't work how i can get sound
If you want sound then you can install it in VirtualBox or VMware Workstation or Player.
@@OnlineComputerTips You should tell that at the beginning!!
@@Matelight_IT I didn't realize it didn't work until someone else asked about it.
ahhh to bad . This is not for gaming at all 😞
If you want better performance AND sound, XP works better on VirtualBox, VMware Player or VMware Workstation Pro.
