    Nice to see things are picking back up that you can plan for future stuff Quasi. Ol' Man Murphy giving you a break after a year😅. Im moving back to my home country after an 8-year work contract in Jpn. Probably plan to permanently move back here in the future once i settle down since i love the motoring culture over here.

    Hi Quasi!
    From the look of the shed that you're talking about.
    There is a way around having any problems with it.
    You could do that size but put a flat roof on it that way it's no longer as visible as it would be.
    You'll definitely have to jump through the hoops regarding a permanent structure, but I suggest you go talk to your neighbors and see what they had to go through to build their own.
    You could put a Murphy bed in it that way it stays hidden because some of them come with shelves when they are closed.
    As for having a super hot garage you could get an air conditioner that only has the vent go out the window.
    That would decrease the temperature and make it more comfortable to work on different projects.
    by the way, you might want to look up what a trampoline that size costs. What people are selling theirs for I think you might be surprised what it's worth.
    That is a nice trampoline and it looks like it's in good shape. it's definitely worth some money!!
    Just thought I would give you some ideas to think about.
    Take Care.
    John

    That GoPro telemetry overlay is cool!

      Thanks for the feedback! The telemetry data for the heads-up display is recorded by my GoPro Hero11 camera (and my Garmin Zumo GPS when I'm riding with it). The gauge overlay is generated using a third-party program called Telemetry Overlay: goprotelemetryextractor.com/
      I stitch everything together with Adobe Premiere Pro to create the final videos. Creating the overlays is a lot of extra work, but I think the end results are worth the effort. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

    From someone who has/is living entire life in rentals, I was thinking "wow, what a cool area and nice houses, must own my house in a place like this" and there comes issues in name of HOAs. Like government isn't governing enough already.

      No, the live stream didn't happen on Saturday. I'm considering lighting one up today (Sunday) as an ad-hoc as I sweat over the Mazda project in the garage. 🤔 --QM

    you never answer your phone so i will put it here. this you need to do if it does it again. as soon as it starts with the stand up. put it in gear. that should tell you if its your neutral switch. if he stays running its the switch from what i have been reading and seeing. but you have less than a second to get it in gear.

    They don't allow Auxiliary Dwelling Units there?

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope... at least not in my neighborhood or HOA. Houston isn't keen on ADU's, but I haven't looked into the specific zoning and deed restrictions yet. As long as it doesn't have permanent power and water/sewer connected to it, then it's considered to be a "temporary structure" or a garage/shed. 🤷‍♂️ --QM

      a VAST majority of HOA and City ordinances do NOT. The cities that do require permits and zoning and heavy restrictions etc. Living in the city SUUUUUCKS.

    If you want to move,why a shed , unless it can be moved

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good point! We are discussing those scenarios now. We're kicking around our options for moving vs staying here for a few more years.
      The shed could be moved or transplanted if it's built on a wood floor/base and concrete blocks instead of a full concrete foundation. Another option could be a 20' container or a trailer... cleverly disguised NOT to look out of place. 🤔

    I refuse and will not ever buy a house that is in an HOA. I’ve heard way too many horror stories for me. That’s a very anti-freedom. If I theoretically own, my house and my driveway should be able to do whatever I want with it so my opinion, if you buy a house that’s in an HOA you can’t do whatever you want with it. You don’t own it. The HOA owns it. You just pay for it. Pay the maintaining pay taxes on it and the idea that some entity can find you for doing what you want with the house you theoretically own you have screw that sideways. I’m sorry that you’re living in one of those. I’ve also heard other horror stories with HOA’s where they decided to make one and when a new HOA is made I’m under the impression that you have to consensually sign up otherwise you’re not the HOA and I’ve heard of times when a person that had lived there before was just like you know I’m not joining the HOA, continue to not join and then the HOA started trying to pull their boat crap and the guy was like I’m not member, but holes go away they became a whole thing, but they didn’t have any authority because a person never paid any dues and never joined and here’s a tip if the HOA are truly being butt holes if enough people that are in the HOA want to dissolve it and make it so doesn’t exist you can actually get rid of HOA’s but you have to get a certain amount of people together that remembers to get rid of itI read stories about where that happened to
