      I study the brain for my own AI research. The brain is extremely versatile. The optical area is the largest and most dominant part of the brain but they neurons are not all dedicated and can do different job, so when it is not used the brain uses them to expand other senses. You will be surprised what people can do, like artist drawing perfect picture with their toe only. I play tennis and table tennis, after playing for so many years I can play almost without looking that the court or the ball. People are always impressed when I do that. So it is possible.

    This makes me so sad. My mum has really bad eyesight and I see how she struggles everyday and how the world hasn't fully adapted to people with bad eyesight/blind. I truly applaud these athletes 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾
    Also why didnt they help the ivorian candidate after she finished jumping she walked straight into them.and they just sat there 🙄

    • @user-ty5em5lh6g
      @user-ty5em5lh6g 6 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      I scrolled to see if anyone else noticed that. It's clear that her last jump was barely past the 4 meter mark. That makes no sense that she would be given a mark of over 4.9m.

    • @frishavocadoo
      @frishavocadoo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +41

      Because she jumped right from the FIRST red line, the first red line is when it starts the meter counting, most of her jumps and also other competitors jumps were from the 2nd red line(the closest to the sand), so her jump from the 1st line to almost the 5 meters mark is right.

      fr e sh a voca do but shouldn’t it have been a scratch if she was jumping off of the first line? her toe looked like it was past the red line. anyways that was still am amazing jump

    2. Next thing. Why do they use to choose exactly those sports which are the hardest for them to do due to their handicap? Table tennis if no arms or athletics like jumping over hurdles if no legs? As a not handcapped person you choose which sport fits. Does make sense. Just a thought.

    • @mikaku

      Not everybody is blind at birth. And for those who are, the concept of a competition for "jumping the longest distance" is not that complicated. Execution is another thing, though

      Paralympic Games Perhaps you can explain how the last Brazilian jumper had a distance of over 4.9m recorded when it doesn't appear she jumped that distance.

    • @ellieturner6593
      @ellieturner6593 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      It's because she took off before the take-off area. When that happens, they measure from the start of the take-off area to wherever the athlete landed.
