The game has a ps4 version so maybe Sony could make it so it gives you the ps4 version instead

I mean, the ps5 is basically a way more powerful ps4 this time around because they have the same architecture hence the amazing almost effortless backwards compatibility, so it’s not too hard to imagine the ps4 might even be able to read it and at least know _what_ it is and say “this is a ps5 disc and cannot be played on ps4”
PS4 controllers work on ps3 btw. I think it’s the same for 5 and 4

The PS4 uses original Blu-Rays while a PS5 uses UHD 4k Blu-Rays (not compatible). Its like putting a DVD into a VCR.

Don’t put your discs with the reading side on the table. You can make scratches if you try to pick it up.
Actually it's the other way around..with the silver side of a disk(with extra plastic layer), it is possible to polish and after will still work. However when you properly scratch the other side, the disc will be ruined because the data would be just underneath the top (the side with the image/game name)
Whatever people what side it is. It is still bothering though. Need to be more careful with these precious disc games
It’s better for the ps4 to be lying down flat on the table because when the ps4 is rendering games it lets out air from the sides to cool down but when you put it on the side like that. The air of one side is not putting any air out to cool down. Making it hotter, louder and higher chance for a game to crash!!😁

It’s important that I see this. A game I really want to get is only on the PS5, but I have a PS4. Since 4 games work on a 5 console, I thought about trying the other way around. But now I know, so thank you for your input.
What games are they? Try to see if they are on Steam, if so then the game is probably more cheaper as most games on Steam are more cheaper than games on the PS Store. I highly suggest getting a PC if you want an actual legendary experience as most games on ps are coming to PC anyway like how Horizon Forbidden west is on PC.

No shit. The PS4 Pro doesn't READ UHD discs whether its movies or games!
Annoyingly, ps5 disks do not work on ps4 but ps4 disks do work on ps5 so if you get a ps5 you dont have to buy the same game but for a ps5, hope it helps
