This is the best video of bleeding with a syringe that I have seen. Thanks very much!

Although I would still bench bleed the master cylinder, the reverse brake bleeder from Phoenix Systems forces fluid in the same direction after installation by forcing fluid from the bleeder screws up to the master cylinder. I was skeptical at first, but having bled the brakes on several vehicles, it produces the most firm brakes compared to other bleeding methods.

Thanks for posting. I've got a quick question, when I get a steady stream with no bubbles, then I put the cap back in, the cap is pushing are right back into the line. I can see the air bubbles coming out. It seems like this would defeat the purpose of bleeding the master

Great idea. progress..Can I use this syringe with the master on the car, if I am careful and re-attach the two lines quickly? Or, would that create a bubble at the end of the lines at the fittings? Thank you.

      Hi Robert,
Syringe bleeding your master cylinder is not a substitute for bleeding your brake system once all the parts are in place.
Although I have found it makes bleeding the entire system easier.
After bench bleeding master cylinders many different ways over the years, THIS IS my favorite.
Can it be done on the car? Sure if you have room and you are very careful.... remember brake fluid can dissolve paint.
I like the master to be very level when syringe bleeding and sometimes will rock it back and forth during the bleeding process to eliminate any trapped air.

@@ClassicCarRestorationClub I have the syringe...master gives symptoms of air entrapped and bypassing piston seals,,i.e; a spongy pedal that nevertheless applies braking......afriend thinks he saw bad lines near cylinder.actually nothing is wet...whole chassis and calipers new and dry. go figure and thnks for reply.
