    For ever... and after the build, a year from now, you will mention it to people admiring your work.

    Wow, I've watched hundreds of videos & you just blew my mind! I love how you put up your ceiling by yourself, with just adding those little pieces of wood to lock your ceiling in 🤯 now I know how to do it by myself 👍 Thanks

    With all the carpeting and sound deadening materials you are using in this build, this is going to be one very quiet van!

    Wow the framing looks awesome. I especially like how you did the rearmost ceiling framing to not block the holes going to the backup camera housing.

    Nice work. A guy once told me - its the small oddities that make it a work of art instead of just ho-hum perfection with nothing to notice or talk about. Try not to let it bug you too much :)

    Have you considered painting the fan trim the same color as ceiling or the light rings?
    Very thorough video with several great tips especially the carpet grain. Forever!!!!🦇

      Thank you Stuart! I am liking the contrasting colors of the trim and light rings... brightens it up just enough! :) Thinking of keeping it as is!

    Great video again Al! Yep, I also noticed that color variation on the port side of the ceiling, I liked your comment about the fact that it will bug you for a long time: project builders are the only one to see "variations" in their own job, nobody else will notice them, but still, it is annoying... Good tip for solo workers, those rotating cleats to hold the ceiling!

    • @OregonBatman
      @OregonBatman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I decided not to switch it around as it would have definitely ruined my panel, also knowing that it will be hidden behind a cabinet will be easier to look at! :) Making the cleats helped a lot, when working alone... you have to come up with a way to make 3 or 4 arms to help out! LOL!

      I Do! I purchased on Ebay... search for "Trunk Liner Carpet" and you'll find what you need: www.ebay.com/itm/222523330275?_skw=trunk+liner+carpet&itmmeta=01JCPXC0X39CSMPQAPNY02K9NV&hash=item33cf6c8ee3%3Ag%3A%7EskAAOSw0wRaHzqP&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKm9xjjyRKMcLQy%2F2yOm%2FyzpItpHMPTyi4ve8%2FURVibqNfPbPLWjyhtfNwkqBaFClnj%2FVFeVnDw%2BCxdZoSeaMNv5d3eWf9tojYlifsp9PaUBgk2Jf8%2FeDHbm9%2B9KmOlTVrgyZ6S4PYzeIThZeH3NGpjllvWhNTtfjASraihcXC8wi5O884d%2BqDhN4Cv5BcQTPup8ypBlMHtlw7FC3e2oocInG0BvLYjW3GDtrLrZoweZO%2FL17r83%2FiaWotVj745mlh3dFeRxhdQkyBhYeq67OUlk6vCdoLSBK2LZVQFGPBkVkQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR-qOsN3lZA&var=521370938974

    Nice set up sir ..
    I want to do something like that on my van.
    What are the dimensions on the plywood did you use if you don't mind sharing..

    • @OregonBatman
      @OregonBatman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mtbbuddys! I used 4 x 8 sheets of 1/4" ply for the ceiling. I can't remember the exact dimensions, as I made the cuts as I was building. All that to say, I don't think any two will be alike. I have 12" pieces on the sides and then made the center pieces the exact dimensions to fill it in. If I had to build another, I am sure they wouldn't be the same dimension. Sorry if that's not too much help... I do thank you for checking it out.

      Thank you sir... I used 1/4" Luan for the side panels and ceiling, nice and flat and easy to wrk with.

      Je crois que c'est exact... Je n'ai pas encore pesé la camionnette. Je suppose que j'ai ajouté 2 000 livres pour la construction. Le poids à vide de la fourgonnette est de 4 895 livres. Donc je suppose qu'il pèse environ 7 000 livres

    Someone completely sabotaged my build. Bought materials I cannot return and purposely gave me incorrect measurements. I am so exhausted. Since May my van has been at this man's house and the only thing he did was install the Maxx Fan and... The floor was cut improperly and woe is me. Is it possible for you to provide me with some dimensions so I can get the people at Home Depot to make the cuts?

    • @OregonBatman
      @OregonBatman  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Truly sorry about that dilemma! Not sure if any of the dimensions I give would help too much as my build is different from yours. I do give the dimensions of the framing in the video I made of installing the framing... I hope that would help some.
