Videos are here to stay. Sorry for the weird upload schedule and the deletion of the videos in the first place. Some real life stuff and I guess I have a few STUPID issues I'm actively working on. EDIT: The hell just happened? I left the video for a few minutes and immediately it was hidden.
As we have already discussed over and over again about how reducing the Creed as pure pro-Freedom, despite Altair being punished for acting out of his Free will and then having to learn that the Creed meant that he has to be wise since Nothing is true, he must always question everything and find the truth for himself and even question the question and everything is permitted means that he has to break moral constraints sometimes and that he must take responsibility for his own life. It has many ways to be interpreted and often than not, we cannot agree on everything but then again Nothing is true and everything is permitted, so it is expected. What I find funny in one discussion in the Ubiforums was one guy claiming that Templars are the representatives of Reason and Technology, despite the fact that they always steal their tech from the Isu and thus, do not discover them, but rediscover them. This person also claimed that Assassins are more like a cult in comparison, despite One Woman being able in AC 2 to build a much better animus ALONE rather than to rely on an organization that should have been able to work with better resources and more manpower. I think making dichotomies like that will only hurt the nuance of the games IMO.
I really don't understand how we went from fighting illusions and searching truth and wisdom and what path should humanity walk blablabla to pro-freedom vs pro-control to Chaos VS Order when the first games are against that. But I guess I have come to the conclusion that when the writers admit they have to use the fan wiki, old fans quitting the series and other gamers not carring if they see an perverted illusion of the franchise that abonded it's old ways to please ''fan interpretation'' (the ones that clearly have nothing to do with the series and are nothing more than head canons that some people just desperately hang on to cause whatever reason) or whatever and etc etc that the Templars have won in the end: quite effective really, burning the legacy of the PS3/360 era to the ground, throw as much stuff on it that the truth gets twisted, I believe even the developers believe in their own illusion. Tell them the truth and the words die and decay so I guess they need to expierence it but it probably won't matter in the end anyway... Just keep those sweat florens rollig into the Medici Bank. What was the saying again? Destroy the old order and replace it with the new one? Just keep doing that, please the hearts and minds of those who do not care and feat them fairy tales and just keep doing that and make it one and the same and you creat basicly your own reality... pffff quite effective, effective I say again with more pessimsm but hey! There is truth in this... I don't know who you are refering to so I can't give my thoughts on him and I don't have the source so I'm only going of on what you tell me. I do feel like I have to defend the Templars here. Yes they ''rediscovered'' them, Warren admits that in AC1, they use it for good things and put more time and effort into it than the Assassin's BUT it always has something for them in return of course! and the cult comparison with the Assassin's makes some sense but this should be applied to the Templars as well... Quite funny now I think of it. I see myself more as a Templar sometimes and hear me talk XD! Yeah that sounds a bit inconsistent but yeah THESE things hurt the games more
@@obi-ytp-kenobi4712 Ashraf Ismail himself disagrees with the notion as well and even called out the creators of Odyssey out for making the conflict too simplistic and that led to the aforementioned argument that resulted in the conversation about the morality of the Templars vs the Assassins with one guy claiming the Templars being the representatives of reason and logic and the Assassins faith and cultism when you can flip that and it would more true, but also simplistic. My point wasn't that the Templars are total hacks, but that they are not these big science guys people make them out to be, especially when they perform inhuman experiments like the ones Garnier has been performing or "Dr." Elliotson. Fallout has literally become the epitome of how you became the very thing you sought to destroy, they literally encourage the fake optimism and the jingoistic beliefs by propagating the Cold war culture of America and even justify the Enclave, who is literally the first civilization after the CME that destroyed them and sought to destroy all humans as I do believe that Juno wasn't alone with her ideas of committing genocide and was not the most extreme regarding it, since all of them were too focused on warring with their former slaves rather than to solve their ecological crisis with the Sun. Point is, Corporations that care too much about profit always turn everything to shit and that's why we need the Assassins to fix that, since nothing is true and everything is permitted.
@@obi-ytp-kenobi4712 speaking about Ashraf, what do you think about the fact, that he left Ubisoft? was this the loss of a talented man or an idiot, who ruined his life and deserves to leave Ubisoft and can only return, until he fixes his life first? What do you decide on he is? the former or the latter? I go with the latter and somewhat with the former since Black Flag was awesome and Origin somewhat tolerable.
@@basilofgoodwishes4138 Don't forget how Warren Vidic smiled at the ''creation'' of his ''son'' Daniel Cross... that was messed up! luckily not many people in the Templar Order seem to like him that much. steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/458606877310719380/ This Fallout 4 post says enough about how much caring was put into the story, remember my first Fallout game was 4 (yeah I'm disappointed to and yes I believe Fallout 1 and 2 are way better written games by only having played a few hours) and thinking ''this ain't that good... at all'' and you find out this... Conspiracy time! Is there a possible link between recent AC games and Fallout? But oké for real here YES corporate greed will ruin something beloved and great just for moneys sake! We have creative geniuses and artists who put so much effort into their work so it can be destroyed by others. You know what I love about the ''Nothing is True'' that we are doing it right now... like right now! We are done it right now we are searching for the truth and analyse what we find, everybody does it in someway or less without knowing it. Unfortuntely when corporate greed wins truth almost becomes indistanctable from fiction. What is true and what is are not always the same. It's such an unfortunte fate so many franchises and story's have to put up with. By doing this we are basicly acting like Assassin's... without the initiation rituels and hidden blades and parkouring of course but still. Now about Ashraf, I admit I was a bit shocked when I heared the news and I'm oké with him leaving Ubisoft (or like some like to speculate forced on a leave of absence by Ubisoft PR for the sake of the companions image but let's leave speculation on the sideline oké I don't think that really matters right now) and it's probably the best right now for everyone untill this get's sorted out. These are some serious accusations that need to be investigated and not be treated lightly. Yes he is a good director but I think this takes priority over the game. Btw I'm not entirely sure what to think about all of this.
I can’t seem to respond to comments anymore…idk why…
I heard the original quote is “nothing is true, nothing is forbidden.”
