    OEX need to start paying you for your views on their gear mate, you clearly like it and on the items you don't, you always give constructive criticism or invite others to comment......which if OEX are watching will help improve their products and profits. You are basically doing their product testing and market research for them and are a good brand ambassador for their gear.
    They could at least send you free gear to review and keep, I would if I was them.

    Put a quick release buckle on the cord. You can clip it once you’re in.

  • @spikesoton6210
    @spikesoton6210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just bought one and I was thinking the same. I also note that there are two hooks at the bottom of the outer door which I think should be attached to guys to allow ventilation. Some quick release arrangement might be required.

    another idea to get the cord out of your way for getting in and out would be if you set up near a tree you could tie the cord to the tree at a high angle

  • @TillerTales
    @TillerTales 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    That top rope is a great idea. Pity there aren’t any loops on the sides about halfway up. Would keep the hoop up AND the entrance clear. Maybe you could try swing a comment their way. That looks like a really nice bivy tho. Been thinking of getting one to use under my Hilleberg tarp, or even my Hennessey Hex tarp.

    If camping near trees you could get the same taught effect by attaching some paracord to a tree, it could make it easier for getting in and out of the bivi, you just have to make sure you don't garrotte yourself on the paracord

    Hi Dan , hope you are well lad , How is the condensation in the Salamanda ? Is it manageable ? I watched Tom Outdoors do a video th-cam.com/video/NaR5GcT22f0/w-d-xo.html on another bivi tent and the condensation was pretty bad but the materials used on that were not breathable at all . I used to have a highlander Falcon bivi tent which was ok but they are not made anymore . Prefer and non hooped bivi now days as I can breathe out of the bag but have to use a tarp to keep the elements out.
