The lil London accent saying "Harry Potta" made my day 🤣 hope you both enjoy your time! I fly to San Fran in two days so this helped me mentally prep for the "airport shuffle"
Yes me too especially anywhere in Europe. sidewalks are more narrow, hotel corridors are narrow , elevators (if they even have them!) are small, trying to maneuver even one full size suitcase was very stressful for me! I ended up mailing a box of my overpacked stuff home to myself and it cost me like 80 pounds and took 2 months to get back to me. If I went back, I would bring one carry-on bag only. But also I was taking the tube and buses, and they are taking taxis or Uber, and they are talking lots of selfies and making videos in every outfit so they probably have to change clothes 3x a day. They can't repeat outfits, which a non influencer definitely can.
I loved seeing you move back to CA and be your Cali girly self again (especially as a Californian myself) but also loving you being a Londoner? Like if Drew ever had a sabbatical or could work remote outside the country and you moved to London for a few months, I would watch every single second of that, multiple times. Amazing.
@@CarrieDaytonVlogs wait until you visit the Netherlands where it’s bloody cold in the morning and boiling hot in the afternoon 😂. Btw, I would love to show you around if you ever do come to the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🎉
Oh Carrie I love your England vlogs...I did last time and I live here 😂 I just love watching your excitement and it's like I'm experiencing my own country for the first time too ❤️
I used to live in London for about ten years and still my favourite city😀 watching this waiting the ferry from England to the Netherlands to leave as we are relocating to Berlin today.
Hahaha you cracked me up with the AC and Fan situation LOL! I've been soso about going to England (I went to Italy tho and never wanted to leave!). But it seems like a nice place so far! Might have to be my next international trip :-D
I am so happy for your travels. Love London! If you ever have the chance, you MUST go to Edinburgh. Scotland was far and away the most favorite country I’ve ever visited and Edinburgh is magical beyond belief. I am living vicariously through you in every way as I single parent my twin toddlers :)
I did the same thing one time, stole a bag briefly, at Dollar General. I for sure thought I was going to jail lol. The cashier complimented me for being honest. Honesty pays off.
LOVING all of this! I was just in London in April and I miss it soooo much!!! I want to move there so badly but it's really difficult. :( Cant' wait for more vlogs!!
Haha, being from Boston - it was kinda funny seeing you guys go to Pret and Wagamama. We have multiple locations of those here. Either way, glad you guys enjoyed ❤
I’m so excited for the London content! It’s been so long since I’ve spent any time there and the footage of you walking the streets had me so nostalgic. I’m so curious to hear your experience of being there around the time of The Queen’s funeral. I was in Ireland when Lady Diana died so tragically and it was surreal. Also, I accidentally stole a CD from a department store once. I was wearing a loose cardigan with huge pockets and it fell in one when I knocked some over. I truly didn’t notice…. I thought there was no way in a million years that they would believe that ridiculous story so I didn’t take it back. I never listened to it either. I still feel bad decades later!
Carrieee I can’t believe you’re here!! I hope you have the best time and if you want to see the sea and have fish and chips I’d love to show you around gay Brighton! ❤ I also hope you’ve made the most of the greggs sausage rolls. The vegan ones are the absolute best!
I do think it's cool you have these friends you can travel with and do things. I'm in a similar boat of no kids and also not married (but in a relationship). And I got friends falling off cause they got kids. And no one to go for a glass of wine with or travel with, and anytime I watch you and Alexa I'm like damn, I wish I had that lol. Plus you guys have a drink but it's not like party get fucked up. It's the perfect balance of having fun, and having a cocktail without going over the edge. I feel I'm the same and it's hard to find friends on the same wavelength. I love you guys! So glad you are having fun!
Don’t worry about the bad experience at Pret, they are all over America, at least on the East Coast they are. So don’t be sad that you didn’t have a good coffee, because it’s not just a London place!
You guys going through the ticket barrier was so cute 🥲 but also they're terrifying, I worked in London for years and still get the fear over them looool
I find it funny you're bringing 2 giant suitcases for 8 days and I brought just a big backpack(like a backpacking one) for 14 days. haha. I stole corn from a farm market once. I had the bag hanging on my arm, paid for my other stuff, neither me nor the cashier noticed the corn, got to the car and I was like OH FUCK. went back in and paid for them. I felt like an idiot.
Im going to London in November ive been many times as my family used to live there but hvnt been since 2015! So looking forward to it im gona see the backstreet boys 😁
It's really interesting seeing the view of London from someone who doesn't live there (as someone who has lived there for years) - also kinda hurt to watch you drink a pret coffee and pan over the view of Ole & Steen across the road which is an actually decent coffee shop haha 🤣
My sister moved to London from NYC a little over a year ago and while she loves the city...she regrets moving there because despite her huge salary she just said it's so expensive to live there and taxes are so complicated compared to ours.....so she's probably going to be moving back to the states sooner than later. And yes during the summer having no a/c....it was so hot so my sister was miserableeeee. Anyways I visited her back in March and we went to the Notting Hill bookshop too. They had so many beautiful book covers there so I picked up a novel that reminded me of England (The Secret Garden) to add to my library at home.
Living vicariously through you b/c I went to London for like a couple days in May this year and I'm like I've been there I know where you are going! Not in a creepy way, I don't live there but I recognize places now! Ahhh. I love London too!
I think we visited England at the same time? I arrived the day of her internment and everyone in windsor was like waiting for her and them there's me pulling my suitcase looking at a map asking all the police for directions 🤣🤣
I’m having such a rough week ☹️ I just wanna quit everything but I can’t lol. I look forward to your bubbly excitement in this I hope you had a wonderful time❤
I’m watching your video and while I’m so happy for you, I’m so jealous you got to travel! Two days before, my husband and and I are suppose to go on our HONEYMOON (booked w/ Exotica) we both test positive for covid! 😭😷😭😭🙈 through all the hardships it’s taken to even speak to a human, we lost out on our $7500 trip with no credit, nada, nothin because it doesn’t matter to them!!! Insane. I love your videos and they make me smile! ❤
Hello, normally, I don't leave comments. I suggest buying a contactless card for Underground, you can pay the amount on the card. It is a convenient way to travel with his card. I think $6 in UK dollars for a contactless card. I would be wrong. I have this card, I use it when I am in London.
I live in Ealing, so much fun seeing you at places I know. You should *definitely* get Doughnut Time next time you're passing one too. They're pricey but so delicious! There are some amazing thrift stores in Covent Garden, Spitalfields etc. But if you're wanting the more Goodwill type place, then check out charity shops (there's usually a few different ones on every high street). Enjoy the rest of your trip.

That much luggage would so stress me out! So happy for you to get to travel again though 😊

Haha as a northerner I love your excitement over Greggs! Primark actually did a Greggs clothing line because we're that obsessed haha

As someone who is from England, seeing someone happy about greggs is amazing 🤩
Im literally going to London in 2 weeks. It's my first time out of the country and it still doesn't feel real. I needed this. OH. MY. GOD.
listening to arizona/california ppl complain about how hot it is indoors when theyre wearing sweaters LOL
It’s not hot, it’s stale air lol there’s a difference

sometimes in newer hotels (which this looks like) the windows don't even open.
There is literally an energy crisis right now and people can’t afford their bills. If there was Air con everywhere could make people go bankrupt so …
I’m so happy you’re so happy. Have a blast and vlog what you can, just as long as you guys have fun.
I'm visiting London in November for the first time and I cannot wait!!! Your content is coming at the perfect time to get me hyped

i'm moving to London in like 2 months and I've been freaking out but this content got me so excited!
I went to London back in early June by myself for my first ever solo trip and 11/10 would do it again. I LOVED. London! Have the best time!

Does west coast not have Pret? We have them on the east coast.

Strange. Whenever I go to DC I see them around. Looks like Philly and NYC have a bunch too.
We def don’t here on the west coast, I didn’t even know NY had them and I’ve been there twice in the last year 😂
