Jeeeesus H. CHRIST!! I think "At the Stake" has gotta be one of THE HEAVIEST songs ever written in the stoner/sludge/doom genre!

Saw them on the same tour and it was just perfect. Kevin is my favorite Melvins bass player ever.
DSS was a surprising addition. Apparently his band split up after they had been invited to tour with Melvins, so Melvins invited him to join the band just for the tour. They liked him that much. The show I saw was in two parts with an intermission, and the second part started with a solo noise session by DSS featuring a contact mic and a bunch of effect pedals. It lasted about 20 minutes and it was the loudest, noisest thing I had ever heard. I remember there was a blind man in the audience near the stage, and all I could think was "What does he think is happening right now?"

bigstuckey 091 Kevin was one of the best bass players they ever had. Look up interviews about how they had to kick him out for drug addiction, Buzz almost gets emotional every time. And David Scott Stone.... goddamn that man is a fucking legend
