Building The Dashboard And Custom Button Boxes | Work In Progress | American Truck Simulator

No drive today, ran into some hardware issues, and my sticks are not being acknowledged by the game. So … we’re going to look more into the development and progress on my dashbaord/button box situation.
We look at some problematic stuff with buttons/switches, address how I’m mounting them, and discuss the pros and cons of how I designed my first dashboard.

This channel will be doing several things, including looks at various trucks, trailers, engines, and other mods in ATS. It will also feature some flights in either X-Plane 12 and MSFS - maybe even combos in the same video. It will be heavy on the RP, showing viewers how to get creative with the game.

That dashboard is going to look Sooooo Cool when you're done with it. Lighted speedometer, tachometer, wow! and the angled side instrument panel ( looks like a Cabover Freight Liner). Freebeard's ATS dashboard is going to set the Bar for everyone building a dash for ATS. Sorry to hear about the broken profile's and shifter problems, likely caused By SCS 1.50 update. I am still on 1.48. I like1.48 and grinding out the miles all my old mods work.

Yeah, that’s the downside of doing the update -especially a major update. It’ll take some time to sort things out, and SCS is already making some small changes here and there to help with ease on the computer. It’s my first dashboard/ button box build, and I’m sure I’ll learn from whatever mistakes I made this time around. But overall, I’m liking the progress. I wanted to do something unique, so that everyone could see what works for them and what doesn’t - as well as all the equipment and time that goes into it. Thanks for the kind words dand!
