MattVT Nebraska Farm | Cattle Haul With The Mack R | American Truck Simulator

We start out at MattVT’s latest Farm/Yard in Valentine, Nebraska. We take a look around the farm - which can be purchased as a “garage”, has spots to rest, fix your truck/trailer, and 2 places to get jobs in/out of.
After the tour we get Harven’s Mack R hooked up to Pizzster’s FREE Barrett Livestock trailer, and we get a load of cattle from MattVT’s yard and take them over to the Farmer’s Copperative in Grand Island.

This channel will be doing several things, including looks at various trucks, trailers, engines, and other mods in ATS. It will also feature some flights in either X-Plane 12 and MSFS - maybe even combos in the same video. It will be heavy on the RP, showing viewers how to get creative with the game.

@@freebeardgaming​​⁠I documented and have videos on the force feedback 18 speed road ranger style I built. Your tutorial now have me considering a dual stick version. It should be possible to do a 6x4 over a single usb using a button matrix on an Arduino.

@@freebeardgamingthe main trick was having the button for each gear at the entrance to the gate instead of the back of the gate. That way it was possible to see if the game registers the press as a successful gear change or a miss before the stick is actually all the way in the slot. With that info I could then decide to keep the gate locked and fire the vibration feedback for a miss or open the gate and let the stick fall into position for a well timed change. I’m currently using simtools to get the info from the game and send it to the Arduino in the stick which contains the code. It’s all there on my recent video. Happy to answer questions there if it’s a project you decide to take on.

Sounds good, I’ll take a look. How would that change my stick setup? Would I have to rewire it to run through the arduino? Might be a bit much for me, as I purchased the gear knobs already finished. I’ll take a look either way though. Thanks for the info.
