Redline really mastered how to walk in style at 2:01. Cowboy bebop also did an amazing job at creating such realistic characters with relatively simple shapes
Currently working on an walking animation and it's kicking my ass. I will say however that now that I'm on my third attempt I can see steady improvement. I guess that's to be expected after drawing it frame by frame repetitively for so long. These sakuga videos are extremely helpful and makes me wonder just how much the animators had to practice In order to get as good as they are.
You're an absolute goat for naming all of them! I was about to come down here and say I would high key watch 100% of these just based off of what i've been shown :D

I think I will relay on your videos for my animation studies, subscribed asap because I know I will take ages to research myself scenes that I may need for learning
Makes sense. With fast paced, multiple-angle fight scenes you don’t have to worry too much about staying 100% on-model or having impeccable timing+spacing. But with walking if you don’t have those the entire animation might feel weird
The very beginning was cowboy bebop it was one of their movies the first I saw it I nearly loss my shit it was a wonderful and well orchestrated movie for those who are a fan of cowboy bebop I encourage you to see it even if your not a fan its still a pretty good movie that is of course before I started to watch makoto shinkai films

Hmm... maybe your walking skill isn't high enough. Walking is already this awesome. After master rank you automated get a soundtrack when walking.
I can shout you out in my videos

If you see the pin in the past second i was like... "How?!"
What anime is this plz ?

@Toono ikr 👏👏👏
Its wonderful to see how something as simple as walking can be animated in such masterful, meticulous, and creative ways. Great video!
Bingo Panic want to do something like this and it ended up looking like running lol
Walking animations are not really simple though.
@@creamgravy1 theyre such a pain, im here for reference lol. People dont realise how hard it is
The slower the movement, the harder it is too animate.

great work!
also, that team rocket walk
vanripper Wait, what are YOU doing here? Sakuga is for 2D traditional animators, not 2D puppet, motion tween animators
May be the only chance i get to ask casually. Van you take notes or just enjoy the fluidity and styles of walking too?

That animation was probably referenced directly from real life, judging by how smooth and perfect it is

It always fascinates me how such a simple animation as walking can show so much character and emotion through a skilled animator.

This is unbelievably satisfying to watch such beautiful detail and style
With the first one You know someone’s a badass when you can tell exactly who they are by their feet and their walk. In this case spike Spiegel
