I think it's the fact that the cutesy high voice with the context of the lyrics kinda fit? Like imagine this.
A kid who's like 8, is singing about her friend underneath her bed. That's creepy. But the parents pass it off as, "Ih they're a kid, it's what kids say all the time." Now imagine an adult singing about their friend underneath the bed. They'd be looked at weirdly and most likely sent to a therapist.
Because it sounds creepier and because children have nightmares a lot more than teens

I think it's a copyright issue. they signed up to have their voices used in an experimental software, not for what Vocaloid became. That's why most vocaloids that come out now are made by voice actors, not professional singers, because they aren't as worried about their vocaloid taking their place.

But she’s officially a utauloid, but some how got used for a lot of vocaloid projects. But I like both Utauloid and vocaloid.

Nothing really, just different companies and utauloids are free to use and you can make your own utauloid out of your own voice or anybody’s voice, along with a character design. But they are the same thing essentially.

I think the reason people easily forget that Teto is an UTAU is because she’s always grouped in with the other Vocaloids, especially in Project Diva and Nico Nico Cho Party concerts. Since she’s that famous, I guess she’s considered an “Honorary Vocaloid” for some.

Sebbyis Random some vocaloids have foods that represent who they are. example, if you were to refer to a leek, that’d be miku, or like an orange for rin. usually the voice bank will be shown w/ their item in music videos, fanart and basically anywhere else they end up. it’s most of the time decided when a vocaloid has been associated with it before. Miku has a leek because some of her earlier songs like levlan polka show her holding a leek. I hope this helps (・∀・) (also welcome to the vocaloid fandom (｀・ω・´)

The Vocaloids have special character items because of Miku’s version of Ievan Polka where the video features Hachune Miku flailing a negi. This song became popular and fans thought that all the vocaloids should have something like Miku does.
@@Gloomyjasper Just to be clear, this is not decided by the companies like Crypton (who licenses most of the Vocaloids) or Yamaha (who engineers ALL of the Vocaloids). It is purely decided by the fandom. Hence, you may find inconsistencies like Luka also being associated with octopus.

UTAU is a digital program that is kinda like vocaloid, but completely free, and you can make your own voicebanks with it. That's UTAU summarized-

UTAU is a free alternative to Vocaloid where you can use UTAU voicebanks (like Kasane Teto, who's the most well-known) or make your own voicebank.
there are a lot of people who call them Vocaloids, but because they arent made with the Vocaloid engine (as well as legal reasons, Yamaha would have a MASSIVE problem with another program being called Vocaloid) they arent real Vocaloids.

Tone Rion's current design is to me, somewhat adorable and cute but I never was able to tell that it was her. I liked the original, maybe a slight brightening of some colors could've been nice but they practically made it impossible to recognize her now. I forget which video it was but you put her V4 design there and I was confused and though "Oh a new vocaloid" when it was actually her all along. In conclusion, THEY NEED TO BRING BACK HER OLD DESIGN! Thanks for listening to my ted talk.
