There needs to be an “(un)helpful guide to fanloids” cuz damn I’m so confused about all of them and how people make their voices (except Neru)
The majority of their voices are just pitch-altered versions of existing Vocaloids. There’s like at least 5 fanloids based off Kaito and their voices are all just pitch changes

Actually, most popular utauloids come from the Vipperloid series. Their whole purpose is to be insane and like a joke. There are some that have actuall normal stats about them. I'm just saying this as an information blurb, not as an argument, this can be taken or ignored.
There are many people who put a lot of effort into their banks, like Xepheris, and I didn't want their painstaking time to be dismissed without a chance.

i think teto is the queen of the UTAULOIDS, i mean she could sing with the goddess miku in a concert.
And sings better than her in some specific songs. For example miku may be good at a lot of songs.
Her main good one being pop and fast/hype type of music. But she is not so great at rock type music. And ghost rule proves it.
Teto secretly has an amazing voice when it comes to the rock category. Amazing growl and powerful voice. Honesty, they should let Teto do the rock songs instead of Miku.
But it's just my opinion tho, and yes she does deserve to sing next to miku in a concert! UwU
Teto’s voice really just depends if people know how to properly tune her, thankfully people know how to do that and make amazing covers
teto's cover of ia's conqueror is absolutely perfect, too.
@Domiyu Backup As a long time user of Teto's voicebank and a huge fan, I will say that there are some songs that doesnt fit well with teto's voice, usually really soft songs although her whisper voicebank can somehow do the trick but its softness isnt enough. Her voice is most great in rock, pop and hip-hop, in my observation that is. I kinda wish that twindrill will release a version of teto's voicebank with different notes just like yamine renri and Ooka Miko ver.2, it makes tuning and switching between strong to soft voice much easier....
Teto has been in the fan-run concert with Miku and a lot of other loids called NicoCho Party. I think Ritsu was also in a concert quite a few years ago now

This is the most that I have ever learned about UTAU. It's kinda sad that you can't get to all of them, since there are literally THOUSANDS of UTAU in existence, but this was actually extremely helpful in my understanding of UTAU.
I recommend Mawarine Shuu. He wasn't on the list but he's my favorite Utauloid.

Am I the only one who wishes the popular utaus' fanmade wiki pages would be updated with the correct info? For example, Rook has no canon height, on his official Japanese website he's only described as being "just under Ruko's height", but the English fanwiki pages made up the idea that he's 6'9 (based on his character number)
Kinda the same way as most of Ruko's fanwikis say they prefer she/her pronouns, that's...made up. Ruko's official site and creators have never given Ruko any pronouns, you can use anything really.
I also wish more people would be aware that vipperloids (Teto, Ruko, Ritsu, Rook, Tei, Miko etc) were made as joke characters, so the canon facts about them are ridiculous and blown out of proportion. Their characteristics shouldn't be taken 100% seriously... :')
exactly! It would save so much trouble. Can't even read the comments of a Ruko/Ritsu cover without people arguing about gender.
The problem is that most wiki pages on the UTAU fandom wiki of the popular UTAU are moderator locked, and the wiki was kind of abandoned by the moderators when they created the UTAU wiki 2.0 (and even there, they’re locked as well...) so that’s why most users can’t change stuff like this that easily :/ I’ve thought of contacting the admins and such, but i feel like such a bother, lol

It’s just that I don’t really know how many of the admins are even active on the old wiki anymore? iirc I think I tried to contact one of them for a minor thing some years ago, but never heard anything from them

How did I find you here?! Anywho, Tei is like a character of the past. If she was released now, the fandom probably wouldn't think of her the way they did when she actually was released. She has not aged too well with time. That doesn't mean her voicebank in of itself is bad though.

That's the joke. The folks who designed her wanted to make her character annoying to the average NND fan. So we have a school uniform (coz many anime characters have those), the white hair, the touching, the yandere, yada yada.
