I have been there once many years ago Dick Cavet , who was a tv guy with his own show and did interviews was there and entertained. he was a brilliant man. The room we had was gorgeous! It was winter and the room had a fireplace and was beautifully appointed. It was expensive but we were celebrating an important anniversary. Completely gorgeous nature ! BUT.. it is was just so stuffy. . People dressed for dinner and if you did not it was noticed, The dining options seem very high and mighty and probably great are now. Then the food was good but choices were much more limited. I like your "once in a lifetime"because now that I am retired I wouldn't consider going there. I still have money but I did that once in a lifetime and that was enuf.
