Testing facilities use Beagles because of how sweet and unaggressive they are. They are just the neediest little babes and they get taken advantage of. Thanks to all involved with getting them out!

Wonderful to see them exploring and sniffing and eating treats. Just what my two (beagles) do all the time. Hard to think of so many that are denied these normal lives and the poor boy for whom it was just too much. This is not a criticism, but wondering if it would be easier for the dogs if their first taste of freedom was is in a quiet, calm situation with only the people who had to be there. I understand the need of filming and publicity etc, I'm only thinking of what might be easiest for the dogs. Rescuing animals, brilliant job; working to stop all animal testing - even better :)

Although I understand they need to publicise their work I think the dogs could have done without all the people surrounding them, must have been so overwhelming!

Americans patting themselves on the back for spending god knows how much money to save five dogs from halfway across the world. Meanwhile nearly 8.000 dogs & cats are euthanized in US shelters. Every day. But hey at least there's a cool youtube video of dogs touching grass for the first time now.

And the thousands of dollars this whole operation cost could have been used to save even more lives. It's not taking into account the need for Americans to fool themselves into thinking it's up to them to "better the world" while their own country is going to shit...
Frankske Verstraeten BFP rescues dog, cats, rabbits, any kind of animal they can from labs and harsh environments. They go where there is opportunity and considering they are not the size of the Humane Society or ASPCA its absolutely amazing they even put in the effort to go around the world to rescue these lab beagles. They have rescued from Spain as well. These labs don't release these animals easily. There is a lot of negotiation to get these animals released. Otherwise they would just be euthanized by the labs. They are also working with various state governments to change the laws regarding release of lab animals. They put out these videos so we (the donors and supporters) can see how our money and efforts are put to use. You should do more research before making negative statements.
Frankske Verstraeten The animals at the Humane Society are not being tormented with needles and tubes...part of a whole culture taken for granted as normal by cosmetic companies, chemical firms, etc. It is important to draw the world's eyes to what is being done to give them new detergent aromas and other frivolous products. Your words are quite cynical. I assume you have a pack of rescued animals sharing your life and giving you room to talk. There's a guy in a book that complained of expensive perfume being given to a country rabbi when it could be sold for the poor. Do you really want to sound like that?

It's depressing that this group spent all those time and resources rescuing dogs, flying them from another country, when they could have been doing something for other human beings who are sick, hungry, oppressed, or suffering. Any kindness done towards human beings is worth infinitely more than any kindness done towards animals. Furthermore I second the below comment that instead of saving these beagles from overseas, they could have used those funds to prevent many more dogs within the US from being euthanized.

Personally, I believe that humans are the root of the problem and, if we could take notes from these innocent and precious animals, we'd all be better for it. We are the ones who move in, destroy natural resources, build more condos&shopping malls, then kill the animals who lived on and in that land we "needed" to develop so badly. We destroy everything we touch&a vast majority of society feels no need to replenish or give back for what we burned to the ground. So no, I'm not giving time or money to mankind's wants&needs. What I do and will continue doing is helping animals in every way I can and serving as a Voice for the animals. I love BFP, I love their mission&their never-ending compassion...It's a dedication to saving animals from the utterly disgusting torture handed out in these "labs" and "testing facilities" and for what?? So society can have its better mascara or chemically modified lipstick colors? Deplorable!! So my heart is, and will always be, with the welfare and championing of animals. Once again, saving them from the "throwaway" mentality of humans...
