Washington DC Spring 1995. 600 New England worthy members entered DC Temple. I was a member 4 months. While family and friends entered and visited the sights, the spirit clearly beckoned, "This (chain-linked hand in hand walking the Presidential Park) is not how we are to take Washington back...walk with ME"
I was shone the poverty surrounding DC. Those who came to the boundary of capital hill long long ago pleading for a redress of grievances, and they are still there. Still there today.
I felt, even rang (on the enormous steel power pole with a metal bracelet key ring)...let FREEdom ring.) Family, Religion, Education, Economy, date-of-marriage.
      The first is FAMILY.

Guys, you've done it again. Some amazing analogies and 'nerd' insights - loved it.

You pose the question 'How have you walked with God'. When the children were young the main feature on the fridge door held by magnets was an A4 self made poster "Choose ye this day whom you will serve, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15. Almost 30 years on this is still the resounding clarion in my life.
I love the 'Mort-gage' analogy. Before this lesson 'love' was not a word at any level of consciousness I would associate with 'mortgage', rather burden, stress even litigation. Now I am proud to consider myself 'Mort-gaged' to the Lord and far from burden, feel lifted, tenderness, love, even joy. Crazy one should feel joy in debt but I know this my debt of gratitude is welcomed and valued by my Lord and my God. This mortgage far from attracting penalties or interests, paid a dividend so substantial it is already paid or written off in the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
They have done so much for me that it has almost become effortless to do unto others as They do to me everyday; so much so that to serve Them in serving others has become my source of joy, indeed my purpose in life.
My life in part is peppered with those who wonder at my drive yet become offended when received witness of the Spirit on truths shared. There was a time I became so upset that for a while kept silent my testimonies but soon came to realise such only favoured the adversary.
I still get the occasional hurtful comments but now also have a powerful testimony of the scripture "...go forth and do as I have commanded thee and no man shall pierce thee..."
I am so grateful for the gospel in my life. It is a joy, a privileged humbling experience to Walk with Them everyday. They are so good to me... too good.

I got baptized when I was 11 as a convert and now I am 17 preparing to go on a mission this year. As an only member in my family, I would say I have definitely walked with God all these years because if I didn't, I wouldn't have made it this far. He has lifted me up on my path and has helped fight through a lot of challenges that have been placed in my life these years. Thank you all so much for taking your time to make these videos for us.

I joined The Church when I was 23. I met a return missionary and we were married. After 3 children, due to addictions, his life went in a direction that I was not willing to go with my little family. I felt the Lord with me through the whole process of starting over. I was frightened. How would I start over? How would I take care of 3 little children with no physical, spiritual or financial help. I was overwhelmed until, once I stepped into the dark, I felt Him right there with me. Even when I didn't really deserve it. I am so grateful that I had The Gospel in my life. And that through the adversity I was able to get to know Him and know that He does not leave us alone.

My husband and I consider your lessons a spiritual feast and such a blessing to eat at your able on a weekly basis. We have been married over 60 years and joined the Church about three years later. We continue to receive the tender mercies of the Lord through study, prayer and the dedication of members liken unto yourselves. Your insight and “walking with God” is very evident in your teaching gifted to only those who are willing to be steadfast, humble and endure to the end. Thank you for allowing guests at your table on a regular basis. There is an old southern gospel song “I’m gonna sit at the welcome table”. This is our amen to that song as we seat ourselves at your table feasting upon your serving generous portions of the words of the Lord and his servants. We are so grateful.

Every week Tyler and Taylor you say something to bring to my remembrance. Today, Tyler when you were talking about Enoch feeling over whelmed. It reminded me when I was called to be the Relief Society President of my ward. It took me a long time to say yes to that calling. My heart was pounding and my thoughts were of passed women who had served in that calling and how I felt so small. And my bishop said don't you think God can help you become like these women. That calmed me down. It was one of my very favorite callings. Thank you Taylor and Tyler for your wonderful lesson.

My walk began 50 yrs ago as a divorced mother of two young children when a 19 -year-old Seminary Teacher felt to share with me her teacher’s text book “ The Restored Church”. It was all I needed of the doctrine and history of the church to desire baptism. I moved forward in spite of my parental family telling me I was no longer welcome in their home. I couldn’t deny the testimony of the Holy Spirit. I am so grateful and try to pay it forward by helping to gather Israel through serving faithfully in the callings I have been given.

I was tought about Jesus but I did not understand who he became, the Atonement of JesusChrist, and what it ment for me. The knowledge of the Holly Ghost and to receive it was one of the most important days of my life because that allows me to walk with Him every day.

Some people have an understanding through the spirit more than they are able to speak it. So Enoch through faith god spoke through him. Appearantly he was willing to hear him . So he was consecrated to God. The consecration was eternal. My piano teacher taught me to play “ You’ll never walk again” it has been a blessing to have the piece memorized.

I do the very best I can every day, and try to bring forth "good fruits" ! In all my sorrow and anguish He was always with me, He carried me when all my strength was gone, and I could do nothing more than hold to the rod and have faith in Him. Life was never easy, in fact most of the time it was really hard....having faith and holding on thaught me a lot, and helped me through the years to grow spiritually stronger and stronger. So, no matter what comes, hold on, do the very best you can, and put your trust in Him, focus on Christ and stay on the covenant path. Never ever let go! Thank you both for your wonderful lessons!❤

Your question made me think about a talk given by Elder Quentin L Cook in Oct 2021 general conference and I love it. To walk with Christ is to think, feel and act like the Saviour when He was on the earth. I am trying to walk with Him every day of my life by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love my scriptures and I try my very best to hold onto to good feelings and avoid contention. I do try and make peace but when people upset me, I need to learn how to control my feelings immediately and see a picture of the Saviour in my mind before I say anything that I might regret. It's all part of learning and I love it when Tyler said to walk with Him now. Don't dwell on my mistakes in the past and don't have fear for mistakes in the future. Just live for today. Thank you both of you for who you are.

Thank you Bro Halverson & Bro Griffin for a brilliant lesson.
Boy I just love learning about the Old Testament Prophets and stories. I really love how you point out the doctrine that is missing from the Bible. I am amazed at how long the Prophets back then lived. I greatly admire people who are able to recite their genealogy, and who have this knowledge embedded in their minds.
I love how Bro Halverson is so knowledgeable with the meaning/origin of words. It really does add another measure of learning. It is great to be able to apply that information within the context of the presentation as well as in life. I also love what Bro Griffin said about the justification and sanctification process. It really is true, the closer one moves to God, the more you change and put off the natural man. This is something I am and have been experiencing. Desires and goals are different, and are more aligned with what the Lord asked of me in my patriarchal blessing. I call this progress.
Lastly, this is my answer to the BOM Central question: I walk with God and God walks with me because I reach out to him everyday. I choose to honour my covenants with him. I live my life in a manner that is consistent with those covenants. Anytime I feel like I am going to make decisions that are out of line with those covenants, the spirit gently reminds me of what is important. These covenants ground me and bind me to him. It is a 24/7 effort to keep my covenants at the forefront of all I do. I walk with God when I ponder, reflect, meditate, journal, pray, read the scriptures, listen to uplifting music and conference talks, and of course watch CFM on BOM Central. There are opportunities everywhere to walk with God ❤.

I just thought that im keeping in pace with my Heavenly Father by trying to teach my family correct principle and allow them to exercise their free agency ( the right way )… second by magnifying my temple ( ordinance work ) calling even in themidst of today’s not so good situation around us. Bec i believe He’s at the helm and always in control….

I just love the way Moses 6:60 is paraphrised. For by the water ye keep the commandment (it's up to us, we have the freedom to choose); by the Spirit ye are justified (we will be justified if we keep the commandments and follow the Spirit), and by the blood ye are sanctified (if we take upon us the blood of Christ, becoming the Sons and daughters of Christ (See Mosiah 5:7) or if we endure to the end we aill be sanctified.

Thank you for what you kind brethren are doing. My wife and I are not able to attend church in person right now due to health issues. But, you help us both to stay on that covenant path. We don’t feel alone, as we feel like we are walking right along side of you and your families. We are fortunate to have wonderful children and family and church members to add their spiritual and physical support. You lessons add another dimension to our scripture study and to our spiritual feeling all around. I can tell, from the comments, that you make a difference in many other’s lives.

I try to walk with God each day as I parent my son in a divorce situation. His dad is inactive and does not live the gospel. My son has great contraries between my gospel centered home and his dad’s. I need God to walk with me and help me as I show my son the straight path in spite on his dad’s negative example. Thanks for this great lesson! As always, you did an incredible job and I thank you! 🙏

In kindergarten we talk about listening with our whole body. If your eyes are listening, you are looking at the speaker, if your hands are listening, they are still in your lap. It goes on and on. I thought of this as you spoke about listening with your heart, ears and eyes. 🙂

Thank you dear brothers .... I just can't help but feel sorrow for the centuries that the black man (child of God) was considered inferior and to the extent that they were used and abused as slaves for centuries. As a colored person of white and black parents, I still can't easily put this aside. After all, I too was a victim of the blindness of my white people and I will bear those scars for the rest of my life. How grateful I am to my Father, for He has received me into the bosom of His Gospel. I feel his help, his support and his embrace very strongly. In 1981 too many leaders did not speak the language that is now being circulated among colored people and yet I feel grateful that the Lord sent me to His church when Pr. Kimball was a prophet and grateful that since then more and more happy sounds have been heard from our black brothers and sisters. Stay healthy and I also wish you all the love from Him our Father. Greetings from Belgium

when you spoke about the heart getting hard, I thought about a good friend of mine that has a disease that hardens the heart muscles and causes the heart muscles to eventually become so hard that the heart will not function and he is going to die. So when you harden your heart to God then over time if your heart gets hard enough you will spiritually die. (this is the thought that came to me as you spoke about hardening the heart)

The way I think of Genealogical lists in the Scriptures has changed because of studying The Old Testament this year.
I have been concerned In my life with how so mean think of Eve & Adam.
Because of The Restoration, we know that both Eve & Adam are Exalted beings living with our Heavenly Father at this time.
The reasurens in the Scriptures for me of their success in completing the Mission given to them by our Heavenly Father are many - some of these are the that they taught the Gospel to their Children, the story of Seth, the city of Enoch, & the lists of Genealogy ( it also nice that with those records, when they are complete, no one is left out).

I love your lectures and loved Enoch walk with God. I know how Enoch felt, when l was called to be Relife Society President, Panmure Ward l felt inadequate, l really relyed souly on my Heavenly Father & my Savior Jesus Christ l guess my walk with him was every minute of each day fasting and praying for families and their needs with Bishop, walking with Savior on the covenant path inspiration would come early hours of the morning most rewarding calling doing things in the Lord's way & 2 wonderful coucellors. Working together meeting the needs of all our families in the ward. He walked with with me on my covenant path while serving Temple mission too. grateful thanks for sharing how l have been blessed.

These are great insightful discussions that bring the scriptures to life at so many different levels. *** One deeper thought I was prompted to think about when hearing the importance of family and genealogy in scripture - that I hope you will discuss about Adam and Eve’s Family is - what are the likely thoughts around at what point Adam and Eve’s children began intermarrying so their family could grow to be so large? What would be the social and genetic ramifications of how all that played out for the human family? I just usually gloss over that entire topic when I think of it, but I would love to hear a serious scholarly discussion about how that must have played out. Also the same question applies to Noah and his family after the flood but there was already diversity of Genetics at that time based on which sons married whom etc.

With regards to people's hearts waxing over - if you drop wax from a candle onto a surface, the only way it can be removed is through heat. The heart muscle must remain flexible in order for it to function and move with each beat - it is basically a pump. If one pours wax into a pump that pump becomes ineffective until the wax is removed - through heat. The way I read the scriptures re: waxing hard is that as long as that wax seals anything, it is sealed for good until heat is applied - I liken that heat to the burning of the spirit which is why, as far as I've observed, is that when our hearts are waxed over due to whatever has caused us to allow this to occur (I think this is why we are constantly being told not to allow ourselves to be offended), the only way to 'unwax' or become pliable again is to allow the Holy Ghost (using the principles of the atonement of Christ), to melt that 'wax' away. It's beautiful that usually this process allows us, or needs for us to cry as tears carry hormones out of our bodies - don't you just love how the spirit and body work so beautifully together? Love your lessons - always brings together experiences for me to contemplate the changes that have occurred in my own life and make sense of things that were confusing for me when I was going through them. :)
