I’m 140 Lbs before gear Vet C rider and the only change I made to the rear shock was a lighter spring to get the sag in check. The stock valving on that shock is very good.
Hey there. Our trail riding here hasn't consisted if much rocks and roots, more single track and flowing trails. I'll try to get some more footage up for you !
very good review on the gearing. (the whole bike) Would be great, when you change the rear sprocket. To let us know how 3rd gear pulls out of corners. I have a 2020 300xc and the debate between 2nd and 3rd gearing is concerning between the 2020 and 2023 models.
Hey there. I’ve done a few trail rides with this bike but nothing that would push the limits of the stock tank’s capacity . For my use case, just a morning out in the hills , it has been fine.
Thanks very much. I'm going to experiment with different sprocket sizes for track use. For the trails the stock Gearing has been great. But for the track I think some other combinations could be spot on. Will update with another video after I test another sprocket.
Hey. It depends on the skill level of the rider and the attributes you are looking for in a bike. Intermediate and pros at 140 would enjoy it. But at 140 pounds I think most people would prefer the 125. Again it really comes down to the skill level /experience of the rider. Hope that helps.
@@duffyrides I have 30 years riding experience, a B level hare scramble racer. I have only owned big bore bikes besides a yz250f and I kinda liked the less power and nimble feeling of the small bore. Right now I have a 2018 Ktm 250 xcw. but want an XC..
I’ve always wanted to try the XC models for the slightly wider gearing on the occasional trail ride and the electric start. However it’s just a coincidence that even the motocross models have E-start now too. I love the power delivery of the XC though. I think in many ways, and for many people on regular motocross tracks it is the right choice (as long you also intend to enjoy the trails ). Otherwise I could have been very happy with the SX model also.

Agreed !!
Your review is spot on! 👍 I love mine and really isn't anything I don't like. Nice vid!
Thanks a lot man! Yes these bikes are amazing. Really enjoying it. Lots more to come , suspension settings, Gearing , etc. Talk soon.

Thanks a lot , appreciate it !!
that ocean view was so cool
Thanks appreciate the feedback! I'll keep the good views in future videos as well!
Yes! Even if you hated the bike, this video is a 5⭐️ for the ocean views alone 😍😍
@@g_dawwg haha thanks !
Have you ridden in rock and roots? Be nice to see footage of actual woods riding.
Can't get enough 😁

I have the 2023 125 xc what a fun machine now buying the 250 xc and selling my 2018 300tx.
Nice ! That 125 must be very fun!
Great video and that bike is way cool! I'm getting ready to post a video on the 2023 XC 125. It's a super sweet bike also!
Congrats on the XC! Hope it’s going well. The 250 has been amazing so far for me.
Where are you located? Trails and track look like fun!
Thanks. This video is in Barbados!

I’ll definitely post an update once I test it ! Thanks
Great review! 👍🏻
Thanks !
Duff, have you had a chance to test range in the woods ? hoping for some real world mileage in the woods with the stock tank

Changing front or rear sprocket? Good stuff. Nice overview.

What state are you in?
For a 140 pound guy would you pick this or the 125xc?

What kind of premix oil you running?
Definitely not 2T
Bel Ray . Klotz is also good.
@@heily-3806 Uhhh ok
@@duffyrides is there a reason for Bel Ray premix oil, instead of the KTM/Motorex 2T?
@@g_dawwg hey. It’s just a matter of what is available locally for me. Both are good. Klotz is also good 2T oil.
Much vibration felt through the new bikes?
KTM has used a counter balancer in recent years to reduce vibration. I dont have any complaints where that is concerned. Hope that helps.
Jamaica?
Barbados !
