Got into PvP d2r recently, after playing for years in PvE. Was fascinated by Griswold set, saw your guide and decided to follow. I have to say, its really fun, i mean i dont win all the time but had a fair share of quick victories. No regrets investing in this build. PvP is relaxing and fun to me.
Nice video dude! I remember FoH sticks were some of the most expensive items in the trading community. They were white Scepters with FoH and Conviction skills socketed with lightning facets. FoH is a gg for pvp many end game pvp players used FoH back in the day.
yes, the foh/conviction scepter is crazy costly. Think it has stats like this or some. 4 socket 10% fcr +3 FOH +3 conviction Other aura/mods? socketed with 4x 5/5 lightning rainbow facets
Pure foh was never taken seriously in endgame pvp. It was mainly hybrid paladins. Mages (hammerdin/foh) and V/T (smiter/foh). Anyone facing a pure foh would abs them and that's about it.
You can also just run hand of blessed light if I'm not mistaken, throw on a coh instead of enigma if you're good at pally, trangs or mage fist and a spirit or something like what you said but with a shield so a jmod or something, and realistically you only need 2 facets tbh but more is fine too. All tested by me, paladin 2000-2015 🙂
If you wanted to make this work in PvM I highly suggest looking into dual dream runeword, and using other items like Griffons helm etc. This set-up in the video is aimed towards PvP 100% :)
Wizardspike/+paladin skills weapon (to cast holy sheild), shako, herald of zakuram sheild/stormsheild, thundergod's vigor, skin of the vipermagi, silkweave boots/gore rider boots, magefist gauntlets/hellmouth war gauntlets, mara's kaleidoscope, stone of jordarn rings, dwarf star rings, raven frost rings. Attributes: mimimun strength (to meet requirements to carry gear), nothing in mana, nothing in vitality, everything in dexterity (ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING). High dexterity means you will block any attack and nothing will ever be able to overcome the level of accuracy to block physical attacks. Also, the higher your dexterity the more likely you will land when physically striking opponents. With holy sheild, at high character levels hell cows can surround you infinitely and never touch you for the whole time they attack. Skills: FOH (max), Blessed Hammer (max), Holy Sheild (max), Conviction (max), Holy Freeze (as many as possible), Salvation (1 point). The rest of skill points can go to various offensive and defensive auras just they're available to experiment with. This style of Paladin uses charge to run as fast as a teleporter, avoid any and all elemental attacks through absorbtion plus high resists (max with um runes in sockets if possible), and magic attacks which cannot be blocked by anything. Add 5% run walk charms by multiple of ten, plus 10 +1 to paladin combat skills charms, and you are in business. Damage will destroy everything, enemy resistances will dissapear, attacks will never miss, speed will be unmatched once charge is masterd, you'll never get struck by physical attacks, and it's a cheap build even without the more difficult to find/expensive/rare items yet is no less effective. For maxed skills you should easily see 28-38 & if lucky more.
Ahh takes me back 10 years, this was a fun spec and really strong for a set considering the other choices for a pally like hdin, smiter etc. Do you guys not use the mercs in pk anymore? I remember running the act 2 merc with conviction aura for this and auradin spec, good stuff.
FOHdin is surprisingly good for Magic Finding. I've seen one build that do sub-minute pit runs on players 1 targeting only champions and unique monsters.

@@Djuntas the thing is , you don't mess around in pvp , no class will play against foh without stack . The aura reach only max -150 res , some stack Lo rune + 20 abs > any skill kills them
That is why he shouldve maxed conviction but he didn’t… I had a perf foh and was pretty much undefeated except another Foh with equal build. Absorb caps at 40%, with 5x 5/5 light facet foh scepter, 4x5/5 light facet, griffon with 5/5 light facet, monarch with 4x 5/5 light facet, full inv with skillers and 20/5 scms I was unbeatable
@@Djuntas go ahead and absorb, if you max your absorb. If all your gear is focused on light absorb I will shift to my dragon shield and Hoj and charge around you til you drop from holy fire. Easy, just easy.
i loved it when he hits the targets from off camera by pressing keyboard button as you left click so it auto fires at nearest ranged target and 2 and 3 vs 1 barbs at the same time.....devastating.....

Merc cost to much in pvp deaths and its considered ban mannered I guess :P

smite/foh hybrid is the way to go for PvP. so strong.

Im 10k foh on d2r, pure foh, killing most ppl but struggles with absorb and ele druids or good es sorc

Foh is such trash in pvm. And Gris foh Paladin sucks as well. The damage is good but all all breakpoints are so slow, it's painful to play.
I use foh grizz pally and he wrecks pub games. If you're not using BM / absorb I would wreck any of your characters too..lol
