This is genuinely how I feel when I try to ask people why they continue to buy Apple products, and no one EVER has a satisfactory answer. EVER. They'll literally sit there and complain about how bad the products are and then I'll say, "Then stop buying them?" and they'll just stare at you blankly as if you told them to grow a fish tail and become a mermaid. I don't get it.
They just have fun to pay 200 or 300 more for a worse phone 😂

That is because Apple is not a component manufacturer. The Samsung group company which manufactures OLED screens is different from the one which makes phones. The Samsung group company which makes displays is called Samsung mobile display company, to which both Samsung Mobile phone company and Apple (and other smartphone manufacturers) are equally important customers. Each Samsung group company has separate finances and separate management (including president). The display company of Samsung group will sell to the customers which gives them most profit (irrespective of whether it is Samsung mobile phone company or an outside phone maker). Apple doesn’t only buy displays from Samsung, but from multiple vendors (LG, BOE). So Apple using a Samsung display has nothing to do with Samsung phone company(as display and phone belong to totally different Samsung group companies). I worked for Samsung displays and that is why I know. At times the Samsung mobile display would prioritize selling to Apple than Samsung mobile phone company. Because president of each group company is evaluated by its own profitability. The Samsung Display company is very old, which started with CRTs, followed by plasma displays then LCDs and OLEDs, while Samsung Mobile phone company is relatively new. Apple always bought displays from Samsung (amongst other vendors), and it is well known and there is nothing to concede, as Apple is not a display manufacturer. Back in 2003, we at Samsung Display were talking to Apple about display sales for their laptops.

Samsung also produces nand chips and D-ram for iphones, and displays for the ipad and macbooks.
The cameras are designed and manufactured by sony.

Samsungs have an SPen built-in. All you gotta do is wave it like harry potter waving a wand and you can zoom in, zoom out, take multiple pictures, switch from the front and rear cameras, switch camera modes and take group pictures all while being 10 meters away from your phone.
Also notice how the iPhone 16 actually also copied Samsung because that sliding button is something that the Samsung S10e had.

I worked for a cell phone company as a sales man for a few years. In my experience whenever someone came in looking to upgrade their iphone it always ended up being an incredibly easy sale. As they never asked or cared about the new specs, only "is the new iphone out".

I was able to run some emulators on it to play Gameboy and DS games on it though. I will give you the fact that many PC gamers are really weird about PCs though.

As an android user I loved this. I used to hate on iPhone users, but I understand that Apple is very plug and play while I can sit with an android for 2 hours and tweak every single thing about my phone and run it like a computer. Also, you all are hilarious!
I’d call it more like console vs PC. Console game compatibility is easy, it just works because it’s made for that hardware in the first place. On iPhone it’s supported by iPhone (number) and above, easy.
On PC and Android there are hundreds of possible models/spec combinations and so compatibility can be complicated
On PC it’s easy to justify looking to optimize games for your big TV. I can’t think of very many games I could benefit from having a super high graphical quality experience… on mobile (though they probably exist, just not what I could see myself playing)

And Android OS is just a baby operating system to me ever since its introduction as a knock off of iPhone operating system. I don't need to customize my app icons. I've gone back and forth a few times and the straw that broke the camel's back last time I went back to iOS was because I opened up a password prompt on Android and it didn't open up the keyboard. That kind of lack of attention on the Android UX is all over the place and drove me nuts.
@@Mistygio That's hilarious. If anything, Android was a knockoff of Blackberry, not iOS. The very first Android phone even had a trackball, because Android was originally designed for PDA style phones, instead of casual use phones like the iPhone. It has _always_ had more built in productivity features than iOS (formerly iPhoneOS). Meanwhile, it took years and years for any companies to adopt iPhones because they were not designed at all for real productivity. They were iPods that could make calls. The only reason they caved was because it was cheaper to let people use their own iPhones than it was to provide them with and train them how to use phones with more advanced operating systems (like Blackberry and Android). I mean, it's nice that iOS has finally caught up for the most part but to claim that Android is a "baby operating system" compared to iOS just tells me that you really don't know anything about Android.
iPhones are great for people who don't know tech, but think they know tech.

The funny thing is it's totally true. It's called brand loyalty, as well as sunk cost fallacy.
@@NekoYuki as someone who switched from iphone to android back in the 3GS era... consumers often just naively assume it's very difficult to transition and stick to iphone out of straight up laziness. my friend convinced me back then by lending me his spare android for a month before i (de)converted; it's a rather effective method.
and remember, back then iphones were legit far smoother and had really better hardware on top of things like itunes (pre-spotify era) imessaging (pre-whatsapp era) even friggin safari was better than chromium for phone browsers back then. but android was already superior in customisability, which means even cheaper slower phones could run fairly stable. and before long, apple was gonna get exposed with their iOS updates slowing down older phones to "save battery" without the owner's consent. androids did not care about your battery because... well, most of them (back then) didn't lock their battery up and it's possible to buy replacement batteries - whether OEM or not.
i rambled. the thing is, iphones are for idiots who don't wanna think too much about their device but still wanna look like they have a good one and who don't mind overpaying about 2-300% for that blissful ignorance.
Once you have more than 2 Apple devices there is no going back.

I escaped the black hole, I've used Imac's, a iPod, iPhone, and Apple wired earbuds. My iPhone 5S had served me well for about 7 years but support dropped and the battery was kinda fried. I barely use my phone so I didn't like spending 560 euros on a iPhone SE 2022 (cheapest option) I ended up buying a Samsung Galaxy A14 for 140 euros, 4x cheaper lol. Within like 24 hours I prefered using Android OS even though I've used iOS for 7 years lol. I compared it to the iPhone SE 2022 one of my family members had and was surprised at how well my A14 held up giving it was only 1/4 the price. The iPhone SE sounded a little better and could make better videos, but my screen looked better and was bigger while pictures were of very similar quality, I could also easily expand my storage by purchasing a microSD. The real difference was the chip inside the phones, my A14 worked fine while calling someone, browsing the web, or using whatsapp, but the moment I tried to play a simple game (just for testing) it ran ok for a while, but eventually started crashing. That kind of stuff just doesn't happen with the iPhone, hell my iPhone 5S was probably faster than the A14 lol.
But this is true everywhere.. if you have 2-3 Sony telephoto lens for your professional camera, you can't buy a Canon camera, you must buy a Sony again...

It would also help if there wasn't so much arrogance about it. I mean, the whole "green bubble" shaming, when someone has an objectively better phone is enough to make a rational person want to pull out their hair.
I mean, it's one thing to prefer something that is...simpler. Lots of people don't need or want all of Android's features/capabilities. However, to then shame those who are comfortable with a more complex operating system for having a "knockoff" is just asinine.

To be honest, I've never got involved in the iPhone/ Android war till i moved. I've always had Androids, but never paid attention to the whole "this phone is better" thing they got going. But holy crap is it hard to be an Android user in Maryland. I get the "why aren't you using an iPhone?" talk every time I pull out my phone. My roommate's phone died during work once and all her coworkers had iPhones do she had to run to the nearest store to get a charger 😭. Not I'm strictly Android loyal out of pure spite.

I hv the samsung s23. Even a trader's joe cashier would ask if it's the newest one and we would talk about how great it is. Yea, couple years back marylanders would look down on Android users, but its not really the case anymore. Majority of my colleagues are using Samsung

iphones UI is more user friendly... smoother and easier experience and wow looking as well... iphones feel like having spacious screen somehow even wen they r same size as S23 or 24... my cousin has S23... I used it for like a week and went for iphone 15 from Iphone 12
