Oh Molly, I agree 100% with the grey area in terms of social media. I hope you are doing well & please don’t worry about not being a ‘role model’ bcos people are treating this so differently. Personally, I think you have handled this pandemic amazingly; you promoted the NHS, you stuck to lockdown rules and now are starting to eat out and shop. There is NOTHING wrong with that AT ALL! I completely agree, there are so many differing rules and opinions that it’s impossible to know what the right thing to do is. We’ve got to make sure that we look after our own mental health, whilst also doing our best to keep other people safe, so if that means going somewhere that makes you happy and you take precautions I can’t see the issue! It’s such a tricky subject because someone is always going to disagree with whatever you do, but I think it’s very clear that you’re doing your best ☺️🖤

If it makes you happy, you’re being safe and you feel comfortable then why not do it? These people are just trying to grind you down because they’re obviously insecure in themselves and their own lives. I completely get you about the social media thing about covid!! It’s so unclear about what to do and everything and I’ve found it so toxic everything online atm! I’ve been seeing my bf but my mums worried about it a lot so he’s not allowed to stay which is shit and I find it hard when other people are doing it, but honestly Boris made it so unclear so it’s hard to even know what to do xx

And Molly, just remember for every hate comment or negative view, there loads more of us cheering you on in the background 💗 This is new territory for everyone of us and none of us ever thought we would be in the position we’re in now, but you’ve always tried your best to take every precaution possible and be as safe as you can, and that’s all anyone can ask for. If you want to go to a restaurant do it, if you want to go away then do it. Nothing and I mean nothing is worth jeopardising your mental health. As bad as it it everyone will always have an opinion on whatever you do whether they know you or not, unfortunately for people like you this is played out in the public eye. I started watching you because you’re the same age as me and we went through the same experiences at the same time whether that be sitting GCSEs, A-levels, starting uni etc. Despite how much you’re channel has grown in that time you’ve always come across as being so genuine and lovely, and one of the realest people on this platform. Seeing you grow up and watching you become the person you are today has been amazing. I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved and how much work and time you’ve dedicated to TH-cam. For the ice chocolate drink I recommend adding 3-4 teaspoons of hot chocolate powder first, add a little bit of boiling water and then mix it until the powder dissolves and then fill the rest of the glass up with milk (I use oat and it’s really good!) and then ice cubes x
The way I see it is as long as you know that you're doing nothing wrong at all, that's all that matters. You're perfectly entitled to do normal things that are now allowed. I've been shopping, gone inside cafes and done my normal activities. Which are all completely allowed. As long as I know that I'm doing the right thing, that's all that matters. Whilst obviously, staying safe and listening to the guidelines. And we all know that you're doing nothing wrong 😊❤️

why are you getting hate for going to a restaurant when there are literally influencers GOING ON HOLIDAY and not getting as much hate for it???

Not all influencers talk about the hate that they receive online, don’t really know how you’ve come to the conclusion that they’re not receiving as much hate for going on holiday. Not that anyone should be giving or receiving hate for their actions at this time, too much hassle when theres much bigger things happening
I personally still aren’t going out anywhere, but I’d never complain about you doing it. If anything it’s nice that I can see the guidelines in place when you go out to eat for example. It’s such a bizarre time and it’s hard to know what is right, but you documenting the other side to me is really interesting, and you’ve done nothing wrong xx

As someone who is still mainly isolating it is obviously hard to see people going out, especially those who are breaking rules that have actually been set out. Personally Molly, I think your social media presence has been very professional and respectful, but also allowing you to do stuff that you enjoy because for your family it is safe to do so. It has been really nice to watch your videos and have a slight sense of normality, but also knowing that you are following restrictions that are in place and not making a situation worse. Thank You!

I so badly wish i was like Harry, Ive never been as nervous as I was for my driving test😂 completely agree with what you were saying about covid though, but I think youre doing the right thing! I sort of disagree with people going on holiday (but I’d never directly critisize people who do) mainly because other countries have lover infection rates and bringing new strains of the virus there feels wrong. But going out to eat and seeing friends in the way you are is completely fine and please don’t let the hate get to you! xx

I've been out to eat plenty of times. I'm buying majority of stuff as possible online because i only want to wear a mask when i really have to. I'm also going to Greece in September. Having had 2 holidays cancelled already this year, we are determined to get away abroad. We work hard for those luxuries and deserve the break, so as long as flights are still on, we're going. Each to their own 🤷♀️✌

I think going out to resteraunts is fine/going shopping etc is fine, as the risk catching the virus in the community now is very very low which is why people who are shielding are allowed to come back out as of today. Don't feel bad for doing what we are allowed to do, I love your vlogs, whenever i click on subsciptions and like 8 youtubers have upload I always click on your vlogs first without fail. The only issue I have with what some people are doing are people who are going on holidays abroad as there are currently spikes in european countries due to people going there on holidays. You chose to go on a holiday in the UK instead which shows you are responsible and not selfish. You're subscribers know you are not selfish and wouldn't do something if it put others at risk. x

Everyone may have an opinion, but forcing one's beliefs onto others is simply bullying. To avoid bullying, cut the bullies from your life. It's much easier online than in real life! Block/mute users, mute phrases that the bullies use. Don't let others affect your mental health.
Enjoy your life! You've only got one! Why waste it being miserable, especially not in allowing others to make you feel miserable!

I know exactly what you mean. I think throughout you’ve behaved responsibly and I don’t know of anything you have done that I felt was wrong. People have to follow guidelines but also use their common sense and to go with what their comfortable with. I honestly think there are too many people with too much time on their hands and because they are nervous about going out they judge anybody that does. Please try to not let it get to you. I can understand your point about not knowing what to share and I think you personally haven’t done anything wrong as what you’ve shown these past few months seems to be within the rules but a lot of other people in general haven’t been doing that. Especially in peak lockdown, I obviously didn’t agree with people breaking the rules but the posting on social media (whether an influencer or not) was what was really annoying to me. While I don’t think it’s fair for influencers to automatically get hate, I think they have to understand that it’s part of their job to be responsible and there seem to be many perks (work from home, make your own hours, very high pay, free holidays etc.) to it so saying it’d be easier to be in another job might seem a little tone deaf. I actually do think you’re one of the few hard working youtubers who puts a lot of effort into their channel, there are many who don’t!

I like that you included a clip of your view of the whole corona situ, don’t envy your situation 😂 think your doing it right and it is totally up to you at the end of the day, would it be Molly if you weren’t with Tom or going out for lunches with your mum??😂 It wouldn’t !! People have to stop finding any reason to belittle and niggle at you. My views personally are still being very cautious. I think shops etc are only open to try and salvage our economy and try to recuperate all the money lost during lockdown. HOWEVER, if these businesses can provide and put in place safe social distancing and extra measures to ensure safety, why shouldn’t we go out and use them and help support their businesses after they’ve had such a hard time through lockdown. At the end of the day we have no control over anyone else, and it is up to each individual to make an informed decision based on the information we have. Ultimately if you don’t agree with what Molly is doing, UNFOLLOW/UNSUBSCRIBE, you really don’t need to make it that deep x

I'm sure it feels like in the public eye you can do nothing right at the moment and it's awful that you've been made to feel that way, you'd really think that a global pandemic would incentivise some kindness in the world but alas :(
No hate or anything but Harry drives illegal as your not allowed to drive for the first 24 hours as when your driving license comes back it will have the day after on it and that is when your legally allowed to drive
This isnt true you can drive straight away as soon as you pass your test you don't need to wait for your lisence to arrive x
At the end of the day, the government have opened up pubs and bars and shops, and those businesses (especially the local, small businesses) need customers to keep going! They've made everything so safe, and if you feel comfortable going out and trying to get some normality back then that's your decision and no one has any right to tell you otherwise. I can guarantee a lot of the people criticising your moves are doing the exact same and picking faults with your life just because they can. I've loved using your vlogs to escape this horrible time because it's nice to see you going out and doing things (and so safely, too!) so don't feel like you have to hide anything - you do you :))
I think it’s so unfair for people to hold you (and other influencers) to a higher standard than everyone else. Ultimately, if you’re sticking to current guidelines and doing what you think is safe, then I don’t understand why people would have an issue with what you’re doing! It’s a very personal decision, and nobody should be shaming others either way unless they’re being stupid or unsafe. It’s just such a double standard!
