Wow, the past four years have really flown by! I still remember you guys coming to Singapore during the depths of the pandemic, with quarantine and all. It seems like almost yesterday, but so much has happened since then. Your many vlogs in Singapore are like a living diary that you can one day "reread". Thanks for bringing us along your life's journey. Keep up the good work!!!
We often sit and watch back some of our own vlogs, it's a lovely little family diary for us all of our explorations and holidays. Some days it feels like we're still brand new here and others like we've always been here. 365 days of summer makes the years harder to mark by I feel.
All the best for going back to work! I'm also a teacher 3 days per week 😉 but in France! Really hope you still manage to find time to make your videos - they're my little treat when i'm at the gym! 😁 All the best and maybe we'll bump into you next year when we do Singapore and Malaysia for 3 weeks! We'll be visiting lots of the sites/areas we've seen in your videos, anyway! 🤗 Katie
Ah we love France. As a country, it's probably the one I miss the most. I lived in France for a while in my teens but at that age didn't really appreciate living in a old house in the mountains that needed to be done up, now that's on my life dreams!! We love the food, the mountains, kayaking. I'm still not a fan of the cold there mind you haha Do say hi if you happen to see us out and about. What's on your must see list when you visit? We know an awesome seafood place in Malaysia we can let you know about deepening on where you're staying. We take a day trip just to go. It's a local place over looking the sea. Nothing fancy just great food and environment.
@@WONDERLUSTworld Yes we love the food too - it's probably the thing we miss most whenever we go away! :) I'm English and my husband is French. France has been home now for about 18 years (Paris and Lyon) - With a little 2-year adventure in the US in between - but we're hoping to move away at some point soon, ideally to South East Asia! 😉Still working on our travel itinerary for our trip next Feb but will be spending about 10 days in Singapore, then 5 days in KL (maybe going through Johor Bahru on the way - is that where the seafood place is? I seem to remember it from one of your episodes! ;) ) Then Penang for around 8 days at the end of our trip. We want to go to a lot more of the Hawker centres this time around and really discover some local specialties. We tended to only go to the bigger food courts last time like Food Republic at Vivo City (which we will definitely go back to). This time around we want to just do a lot more wondering around, nature walks, the zoo which we didn't have time to do last time! Back to Sentosa (where i spent much of my chillhood) walking there along the boardwalk from Vivo City. We'll be staying in an apartment in the CBD (one of my students who lives in Singapore is very kindly lending me her place while we're there) so just living like locals I hope for the 10 days we're there! :) Funny that you had an old place in the mountains too - we did, not far from Morzine from the age of 7 to 17! We used to go there for each school holiday (we split our hols between France and Singapore, where my dad was based). I helped my parents negotiate with the local plumber and electrician to get running water and electricity installed - it really was a very basic farmhouse, a little off the grid :) This is part of the reason France has always been like a second home to me, and part of the reason i learnt French, despite not loving the living conditions and outdoor showers at the farm!😁All the best anyway, have a great week and i'll look forward to your next video! 🤗 Katie
Hello, thanks for sharing all that. How interesting life must have been growing up in two such contrasting places. Best of both perhaps. Yes the seafood place is in JB. We haven't been over to KL yet... so many places yet to visit and we feel like we've seen a lot already. If you go to the zoo and still have energy I would recommend the Night Safari after if you've not been. So kind to be lent a place to stay, such a good spot to get about from. Mind you most of Singapore is easy to get to!
Thanks for the update Millie!. And yes, it's incredible how much time flies but it is great to have followed along with you guys, watched your adventures and get inspired. Thanks for what you do 👍 (Lol ... there is a plane flying over my place right now as I write ... its the Scoot flight Sydney to Singapore! 😅) Cheers
Please arrange a meet up with your viewers, networking is important, you guys should plan the mid autumn decorations tour at Chinatown & Gardens By The Bay, see you guys soon. 😊
Must do Japan while the Sing$ is still strong against the Yen. Go to Hokkaido for a winter holiday. The powder snow ❄️. Budget airlines like Scoot, ZipAir etc fly there.

@@WONDERLUSTworld When are you guys going to Gardens By The Bay? 😊
We're going Saturday for the last day.
@@WONDERLUSTworld I already visited Gardens By The Bay on 13 September 2024. 😊
It is different each year, this year had a very local theme which was cool.
